Monday night chicken special was awesome!!!! We have never been disappointed with anything we have ordered. It's always fresh and hot!!

First time here and the food was great. I got the turkey club...great flavor and good portions. We also tried their wings, the garlic/butter and their hot ones...both were delicious. The wings are very meaty and juicy. My boyfriend got a burger and he loved it, he likes his burgers mid-rare and it's hard to find a place that will cook a true mid-rare burger. Overall good food, we got takeout so not much to say about the service. They did say "20 minutes" to pick up and that was right on. Definitely going back. read more

A place to hang out and grab a drink with friends. Food is good, but nothing out of the ordinary. You can get typical bar food and burgers. They also have a selection of wing sauces for their wings. They have expanded their beer selection which is a positive. Unless something has changed in the past few months, they do not have a children's menu. Service here is it or miss. We used to come here at least 3 times a month. Their seating policy is seat youself. Well it has always been fine until last night. We got there, were the only ones in line so we looked around nothing open so went back to stand in line. In comes two groups who walk past us and proceded to stand by tables and wait for the diners to leave. HOW RUDE! We left and will not be returning! read more

Terrible experience at Firehouse- the roof started leaking on our table landing directly in my sons drink. Took a few minutes for anyone to even approach us after we climbed out of the booth and waited to see where to go. Waitress calmly reaches over to a plastic tub that was on the other end of the table and places it under the leak stating something about its happened before. Luckily we had no food at the table but had to ask for drink replacements and no one even apologized. Expressed my disappointment to waitress who said she would pass on to manager. Waiting for manager to come, our food came and we ate but rather disgusted with the whole experience. Never saw manager and never felt anyone cared that the roof leaked right on their customers. As we were leaving, saw another booth with people sitting and a plastic bin on the end of the table catching ANOTHER roof leak ON THE TABLE. I am appalled that a restaurant allows people to eat under roof leaks and even more appalled that no one even apologizes or tries to make it right. What happened to customer service? Even if I could justify something as disgusting as a roof leak in a food establishment, I cannot justify the lack of owning up to the error nor any effort to apologize. I will never return to this place again and would never recommend it to anyone. read more

1st time I was there was for lunch, and they had a good special with the burger. Bartender was super nice and funny. She handled a situation with a smelly customer pretty well lol. Overall I came back to do a pick up, again staff was friendly. read more

oh Firehouse. your food is amazing and your atmosphere is awesome but what happened to you being the weekend hotspot? i love going to the Firehouse. The wings and friday fish fry are amazing and keep loyal customers coming back including myself. Weekends are another story though. i don't know what's happened? going on wednesday nights for wings or on a friday night for the fish fry this place is packed!! come any later and this place is so dead you can hear a pin drop practically. Firehouse is a great place for a few drinks and for dinner but if you're looking for a happening hot spot during the weekend, well, something happened and this place is not for you. read more

Stopped in Saturday night for dinner... Table was dirty/sticky. An A/C unit or the roof was leaking on several tables around us, no buckets or signs or just moving the table. Had onion ring appetizer that was way too salty. Burger was nothing worth writing home about and fries were blah. Draft beer could be colder. Restroom was nice and clean however. Service was not great but not bad either. We have no need to go here again... Sad because it has potential to be great. read more

Stopped by on Sunday at noon. Almost left before sitting down bc the smell was foul presumably from the night before bar activities. We stayed, and the chicken, ribs and hot wing specials. They were ok (nothing special). The ribs were over cooked, dry and we ate only half of them. Unless we are coming for the evening bar atmosphere, we won't be back. read more

They have the best wings around and their food in general is really great. The service is really poor most of the time unless they are really slow and a lot of times you end up sitting at a sticky table. The food quality makes up for it if your not a snob more of a beef then cocktail place. read more

Firehouse fell short this evening on service. Normally go during the week when Dave is at the bar. Bartender was a younger girl evidently did not want to be working. We ordered our drinks and our dinner we got an eye roll. Not what I expect at Firehouse at all. Came by dropped the food never came back to see how it was nor did she ask if we wanted another drink. Not happy! :( Place was dirty and the service was terrible. We tried three tables until we found one that was not stick, ended up having to seat ourselves. Waited nearly a half hour before we got service had to flag someone down. The staff seemed to be more interested in talking with one another than tending to their customers. Had the fish fry special, food was okay not bad but not great. My buddy had a Ruben sandwich said that it was okay. We were constantly having to ask for refills. We realized that we should have sat at the bar to eat might have had better service. Overall, I don't think that I can return to this place I was hugely disappointed mainly in the service. read more

We got a gift card so we decided to give it a try. Great food, great service! The broasted chicken that my husband ordered was delicious. We noticed that their special on Mondays is a 4 piece dinner for $4.99! He has been looking for a place that has real good chicken and I think we found it! I ordered the bucket of peel and eat shrimp. It was both satisfying and delicious. The only negative that we can say is that the building itself had a musty smell to it. Well, as far as options go on a Sunday in Roscoe, this was great. The portions are fantastic. I had the chicken & 1/2 rack of ribs which I shared and still had left overs. I appreciated that the TVs had sports on, only sports, which was a relief since we were dining with a group of kids. They have some good beers on tap and the server was really attentive and friendly. Went here the other night for dinner. The service overall was fine but she became much less attentive as the night went on and seemed to forget about our table. We ordered the all you can eat Friday walleye fish fry, which was excellent. However one of my friends ordered a loaded baked potato and received a plain potato with two packets of butter, had to ask her again to receive the proper condiments. My husband and I are new to the area. We have gotten take out broasted chicken several times from here, and it was excellent. So, it was my birthday and we thought we'd go there for dinner after a round of golf. It was a Monday night so it was not full - but a pretty good crowd which we thought was a good sign. When we walked in, the wait staff near the front door pretty much ignored us. We found a table and were disappointed that although they had several TV's, none had the Cubs game on. We sat there for several minutes as the wait staff passed by us without even acknowledging our existence. We are pretty laid back but thought this attitude was unacceptable. Just moved to the area a few months back and thought we would try Firehouse.. It was a midweek dinner. All in all it was just ok. They had an AYCE pasta going and the waitress was nice enough to say it wasnt that special. (gotta appreciate that) I had a prime rib sandwich that was pretty good so thats a plus, but took a pretty long time, seeing as there was only one other table going.. Fries were eh.. About the only thing that was good was the cheese dip. For starters we had to wipe down the bar ourselves. The bartender looked like she woke up..threw her hair up...put pants on that were too tight. We ordered the Queso dip and the chips were so salty it felt like sand on them. The bartender finally came back to us... heaven forbid you interrupt the chat she was having with another customer. When I walked in, I first noticed that it was very bright!! After closing, last call bright like! And it was quite, but the place was half filled. There was no music of any kind. I did not know if it was a sit down restaurant or a sports pub. I just went to the bar. I was greated by a nice bartender and was able to get the Blackhawks game on for me. Not much of a beer selection regardless of what they advertise. Having 5 beers that all taste like Miller LIte is all the same one to me! They did have some though, so I was happy. I ordered food and it came quickly. It was nothing special, but not bad. I would go back again to try something else. I only suggest a juke box, satellite radio, and dim the lights a little! read more

Just got home from a horrible experience at the Firehouse. This once again reaffirms why we have stopped visiting this establishment. Here is a run down of our trip. Enter about 5, it is slow, sat and was pleasantly surprised to have a waitress show up almost immediately. Received our drinks right away; that is where the good service stopped. Waitress came and took order at 5:10 then waited till about 5:40 to actually get food. Only brought out three out of four dishes. (Mild wings(now sauce free I guess), Kids cheeseburger, pulled pork sandwich) Fourth, my son's was missing. No explanation, as not even delivered by our waitress, and at this time the husband needed another drink. Another 10 minutes waitress stops by to say my son's BONELESS WINGS would be out in a few minutes. At this point I cannot even eat my pulled pork, as it was drier than anything I have ever eaten. Son's wings finally come out and I ask for bbq sauce. 5 minutes later husband finally gets his drink. Another few minutes I get my sauce. At this point cannot even eat my sandwich because it is cold. Oh now our MIA waitress is attentive, just to the point that I asked for boxes and the check. Really happy to spend $60 and go home hungry. Hey those pickles were good. I hate leaving nasty reviews but this has been the third, in a row, bad experience here. Point taken... we won't be back! Sad really because ten years ago this place was awesome. PS- if you do not heed my warning and have all the time in the world to waste in a restaurant, little tip if you are colorblind... menu is black on red. Husband could not read at all. read more

Been going there a long time used too love this place but tonight I was refused service because I was not 21 years old !! Would have been a different story if we were told nicely about the new rule but the waiter was nothing but rude and let's not for get it was 8 and night not like it was 1 in the morning !! With that being said they have lost a good long term customer !! I would not recommend this place ... Want good food drive 5 more minutes and try back yard bar and grill !! read more

My husband and I are puppy raisers for a national service dog organization. Last night we were at the Firehouse Pub with the five month old puppy that we are raising. As part of his training he is suppose to go everywhere with us and we are required to have the dog wear his official Puppy Raising Cape. (As a side note, he has all of his required vaccinations and is toilet trained.) When we enter Firehouse Pub we asked if it was okay for us to bring in our dog. The staff said, "absolutely." The dog was well behaved, not barking or roaming around instead laying down between my wife and I. A gentleman came over and told us we were not allowed to bring the dog into the restaurant. My husband and I explained it was important for the dog to get acclimated to all types of establishments as it was a part of his training and that it was acceptable for the puppy to be at the restaurant. The man did not believe us and once again stated the puppy did not belong in the restaurant. The man was the owner of the restaurant and wanted us to leave. My husband and I were amazed at this man's ignorance about the importance of the training of a service dog and the Illinois laws regarding establishments accepting these dogs. We did not cause any problems and left the restaurant. This upset me as I know how important service dogs are to the people that use them. It has been my my pleasure and honor to being a puppy raisers for future service dogs. My husband and I plan to go back to the Firehouse Pub and bring educational information regarding the importance of raising a puppy who will become a future "awesome" service dog and the laws that restaurants need to follow regarding allowing these dogs in their establishments. The Firehouse Pub is exactly what I thought it would be which was very refreshing. It's a small town bar that has a menu full of traditional bar food. The great thing about it is that they have excellent bar food. Their wings are the best in the area. They are delicious and juicy and wonderful. If wings aren't your thing they have everything from burgers to quesadillas to mozzarella sticks and all of it is definitely enjoyable. I would definitely recommend coming back and I don't recommend restaurants as appealing very easily. If you're looking for a place to hang out on game night to drink with your buddies and eat good food then here's the place to go. Especially on Wednesdays. They have a great wing special on Wednesdays. read more

Me and my baby bro went on a long joyride to Bumblefuck, I mean Rockton, IL to visit my uncle today to help move some furniture to his crib. We got hungry after moving the stuff and of course being in nowhereville, USA me and my brother had no clue where to eat so my uncle mentioned this joint as the "happening" place. We drove over there and seated ourselves in a booth. The place reminded me of a buffalo wild wings, but more fun. There was a bar with flat screen tvs everywhere and those buzztime game thingamajigs. Our waitress came over quickly, gave us our menus and took our drink orders. She was very efficent and quick. The menu is just like any pub/grill place, you got your wings, pizza, sandwiches, burgers, wraps, e.t.c. I settled for mild buffalo wings with ranch and my bro got a chicken caesar wrap with friez. Our food came soooo fast in like 10-15 min and the place was packed. The wings were out...of ......this........world. I thought b-dubz was good but his place beats it hands down. The sauce was PERFECT, not too spicy but spicy enough to taste some heat. They weren't too greasy either and were enormous. They were fingerlickin good my gosh! And the fries were kick ass, so soft and piping hot with just enough salt. My bros wrap was amazing and they put parmesean in it too. The wrap was huge and full of food. I love this joint it is awesome and I love the look of it. They had a music box and a ton of other pics and fire boots on the wall, and there was also a pool table. Went with a group at lunch time on a Sunday. Had to put tables in back room together ourselves and they all needed to be washed. Thought it was strange they had been left like that since staff was standing around and it was slow when we got there. Took about 40 minutes for food to come. Also strange since it was otherwise pretty slow. Three orders were wrong, mine among them. We were offered a free round of drinks, but I'd already been there over an hour, and had seen enough so I just sent the wrong food back, paid for the remainder of my order and left. It was our first time there, having been highly recommended by a friend. It was also our last. Can't speak to the quality of the food because I never got any, but the service and cleanliness are nonexistent. Hope you have better luck if you decide to give it a shot. read more

I have been here many times but today was unacceptable! Came for lunch ordered 2 broasted chicken lunches waited well over 40 minutes and then one of the meals came out raw!! Had to order something else and waited a long time for the replacement meal! Everyone around us was waiting forever. Will not be back. The potato wedges were also mushy.
