When I first came to Beloit, a woman I met recommended Lucy's #7 Burger Bar. I kept it in mind, and after seeing it listed in an article about 24 things to do in Beloit, I finally decided to give it a try. I ordered the Wisconsinite Burger with cheese curds on the side, along with a beer from 3 Sheeps Brewing. I had never tried their beer before, and it was really good. The burger was delicious too, and I genuinely enjoyed it. The cheese curds had their own unique style. They tasted good, but they just were not really my thing. The service made the experience even better. My server was very polite, helpful, and informative. When I mentioned that it was my first time in Beloit, she recommended checking out the stadium to catch a minor league baseball game. I thought that was a really cool local recommendation. So glad we stumbled upon this place! There is a decent size dining area, and a large bar. In the dining area, you have a view of the open kitchen which is a cool concept. We sat at the bar and were greeted immediately and served very quickly. The garlic cheese curds were just added to the menu today, and they were SO GOOD. There's a large selected of draft beer (~20). As a Chicagoan, I appreciate great food. This joint had one of the best smash burgers.. I made my own with gravy, provolone, grilled onions and side of the garlic sauce. My take on a French onion burger. Cheese curds were amazing but I wouldn't expect less from our friends to the north. Solid 5 stars. And the Spotted Cow on tap was just what the doctor ordered. We drove out from Milwaukee because we'd heard this place was great and it did NOT disappoint. From the perfect start with delicious drinks to the PERFECT cheese curds and homemade ranch. Including a thoughtful server who suggested grabbing the remaining ranch before he cleared our curd plate. To one of the best burgers I think we've had, ever, the Mac n cheese burger, we couldn't have asked for better. It's a cute place, in a great location and our server even mentioned that we should come back on a Saturday for the farmers market that takes place right along that street. It's been many years since I've been here and the food is different now. The service was good, we joined the yelp waitlist which did not take long at all. They used to serve stuffed burgers which were pretty good but now it's smashburgers. I chose the plain jane but added bacon and beer cheese. The burger had very little flavor and the fries tasted old as if they had been just sitting under a heat lamp. Shake was average. Although pricey, the burgers and sides are really tasty. They do serve water down drinks though. In a way, it's a good thing that they do. Cuts down on driving under the influence of alcohol. Lucy's, you stole a piece of my heart and broke it at the same time. I might be in cardiac arrest but I have a smile on my face. The cheese...the melted, oozing, creamy, sharp, curdled cheese. After eating my burger I felt like it was my first day as a contestant on the biggest loser. The cheese was falling out of places no one ever thought cheese would be falling out of. I mean it was inside, outside; it made its way into every crevice and corner. And on top of it all we had fried cheese curds. Crisp, golden brown, dare I say delectable. These things are more of a frikin magic trick than an appetizer. They are fried crunchy...you pop 'em in the ol' mouth hole and that hot oozy cheese starts to come out of its golden shell. And it doesn't stop there, oh no, once you start chewing the lil buggers go back to squeaky right before your taste buds. It's the darndest thing, it's piquant....it's, it's down right magical. Now have you, I arguably got the cheesiest burger they have (Mac and cheese burger), but I wouldn't have had it any other way. Creamy cheddar packed inside the beef, sharp curdled Mac on the outside, with it all blending together into one Wisconsin gut Buster. If you are currently in the mood for a good burger, good cheese, and are a bit too regular if you catch my drift, swing over to Lucy's. If it ain't juicy it ain't Lucy's. Eat up. read more

I love Lucy(s)!! This is such a gem of a restaurant. Great atmosphere, great food and great staff. I sat at the bar and had great service from the bartender. She made sure we were well taken care of. Ordered some wings that were better than most I have had across the state. The way they prepare and cook them is just unmatched. I am slightly disappointed that they no longer do stuffed burgers, but their smash burgers were quite delicious. I have always found the Mac & Cheese burger to be my favorite and definitely recommend. If you are ever in Beloit for whatever reason, this is a great spot for lunch/dinner! read more

Lucy's was what we needed. Such a great stop into a cute area. We called ahead since we are driving across the country. Ordered the bbq burger and Wisconsite burger with sides of fries and cheese curds. Food was ready when we arrived and luckily they had some outdoor patio seating since we had our dog. We sat and enjoyed our meal. The burger was thick and not dry whatsoever. Fresh cut fries are my favorite and the cheese curds were worth it. On Saturday, April 5, we stopped at Lucy's #7 for lunch. We walked in at 11:35am and it took a few minutes to get seated. Our wait staff, Alexis, came to our table after a couple of minutes. We ordered right away. This was at 11:40am. We ordered the special and the bleu cheese burger and waited....and waited...and waited. I got up and approached the manager and told her about our extended wait. We had people all around us getting seated after we arrived, ordering, and getting their food within 10 minutes. She said she would look into it. At 12:05pm our food arrived. I asked our waitress why it took so long. She admitted the order wasn't put in right away. The manager never came back to speak to us and appeared like she was oblivious and could care less. As far as the food was concerned Lucy's #7 has changed to smash burgers from the thick and delicious burgers they used to serve. Cute spot in Beloit with plenty of street parking. Was very busy on a Friday night so I recommend putting your name on their waitlist ahead of time so you don't stand around waiting for a table. Lots of beer options for everyone's unique taste buds. Burgers were pretty thick and have the option to customize to your liking. They have salads and wings and fee other options if you're not a burger person. Came here with my husband after trying to find a burger somewhere new. The atmosphere is casual and inviting, and the bartender was very friendly. The menu features a variety of creative toppings, but my burger was lacking flavor. I had a smash mushroom swiss burger with grilled onions. I was surely hoping for more flavor. Amazing! Miranda the bartender welcomed us warmly as we chose our barstools- we felt the live right away- it was a gorgeous mid afternoon on a Friday the end of July. A lot of the food places in that area do not serve food from 2-4 but Lucy's does! The establishment is clean, rustic interior design and has a very comfortable feel. The kitchen is open to the seating area which means you can see them making your food which is pretty neat- Miranda our bartender is so know you the beers, drinks, food, community and is a breath of fresh air with her bubbly personality we will most definitely be back! read more

Pros: the food is delicious. The appetizers are great and the salmon burger is really indulgent, one of the best salmon dishes I have ever had. The waitstaff are kind and attentive. Cons: It's always very crowded so definitely make a reservation! Also it can get pretty loud. read more

Get there early in order to get a table inside. Due to Covid-19 restrictions there are fewer tables. Loved the food. Loved the vast beer choices. I enjoyed my burger paired with a PBR pint. Their French Onion Soup is very good. Went with our server's suggestion to request Swiss cheese instead of provolone. Highly recommend their wedge salad. It was super fresh and crisp and loaded with blue cheese and bacon. My burger was stuffed with melty cheddar and topped with fried onions and crispy bacon. One word: PERFECT. I haven't had Lucy's' in almost two years. We ordered tonight, but sadly, the quality has gone downhill. The burger patties were overcooked, dry, and so salty that I couldn't taste any other flavors. The best part was the bun. I remember the fries being delicious and hand-cut, but sadly my fries seemed like prepackaged, frozen fries. A friendly suggestion would be to adjust costs to reflect the quality of the food served. read more

First time there and I will be going back. From being greeted by the hostess, they were busy, no problem. We didn't wait long at all. My niece has been there many times so she pretty much knew many of the items on the menu and had tried a few. She liked a few different things but we both decided on the burger that was stuffed with cheese. Honestly I have never had one before and it was delicious. I didn't get the fries but she did and they are my favorite kind of fries wow. Getting them next time. The whole place was so nice and our waitress kept checking on us and I don't get that at to many places. I tipped her but I decided she went above and beyond so I gave her a extra tip before I left.
