This evening, my family dined at BSB for the first time before attending an IceHogs game, and it was a great experience. We were seated promptly despite not having a reservation. The location was very clean with a unique atmosphere. The bar offered an excellent selection of beer and bourbon, including higher-end bottles. Ryan was our server and did a fantastic job--he was friendly, attentive, and gave great recommendations since it was our first visit. We ordered two regular cheeseburgers, a Beef and Blue burger, kids' mac and cheese, Parmesan bacon tots, and sweet potato fries. The food came out quickly, the portions were generous, and the mac and cheese was real and homemade--not processed. We would definitely return the next time we're headed to a game. read more

Certainly a great place in Rockford to go if getting burgers. It has a lot to choose from. Baker Street Burgers has plenty of these along with appetizers. Many beers and cocktails which no burger is complete without of course. There's also the choice of an Impossible patty with any of these. At lunch it was only kind of busy. It had plenty of seats available at the bar so we went there and started looking at the menus. There's lots of beers on tap. It's about $11 for the cheapest cocktails. These also have funny names. Best one we had was the Favorite Hoodie. This is Irish whiskey with agave, bitters, cherry, ginger, lemon, and passionfruit. Had a spiciness and sweetness to it. Of course the burgers are the main thing. It's about $15, and add a couple bucks to make it an Impossible Burger. These come with the choice of a side. Patty was a thick one. This was good for the kind of high price. Has a lot of interesting changes to the menu, so you have to keep coming back. It's big portions for the prices. I have been frequenting this restaurant since it opened. Of my first two "favorites", one has been discontinued (burger with peach BBQ sauce). The second favorite (beef & bleu) remains on the menu. These are not simple burgers...they are complex. I find that in many restaurants, the burgers are loaded with "extras", many of which don't actually enhance the burger, but instead are just added in order to support an increase in cost. BSB burgers have add-ons that have been carefully chosen for maximum flavor combinations that make me ordering the same burgers many times. Although I rarely eat salads in restaurants, I recently ordered BSB's Asian salad, made primarily with red and green cabbage and cucumber,avocado, and mango. It was superb...I had it for lunch and debated whether I should have another for supper! The surroundings are lovely. Not too dark, not too bright. Last week, I was startled to see the outside table...the windows were so clean that for a moment I thought I had stepped back outside. Everything is clean and inviting. The servers are uniformly helpful and kind. In addition, they are more than willing to make modifications to the menu items, and they always seem to return to the table with perfectly-executed dishes....so thanks to the kitchen staff for converting those orders to perfection. Love the dimly lit, wooden, romantic feeling to the place. Staff are very friendly and offered to give me bags for food that I was holding. The burgers here are humongous. I got a Korean kimchi burger, and it had potbelly, a burger patty, fried egg, kimchi, sriracha, and many more condiments inside of it. The pickle gave it a nice touch. My wife brought me here for my birthday and it was one of the best presents I received! All the burgers sounded so good- we didn't know what ones to pick from! We ended up sharing two burgers- went with the Peach BBQ one and the birria burger. Both were incredible! I'm not sure which one I preferred. They both tasted so good! Very filling too- I think I ate only half a burger and saved my other half for leftovers. Fries were really good and crispy and they were also good as leftovers. This place has amazing food, drinks, and atmosphere BUT what made it so much better was the staff and owner! My 3 year old accidentally spilled a glass of water and was very upset. After we cleaned it the owner asked me if she could have ice cream. I of course said yes....she the. Proceeded to let my daughter make an ice cream sundae and made her so happy! They claimed to be open at 11, but never opened their doors after waiting outside for over 30 minutes. We came back an hour later and still not open. Great place for lunch. I had the Buffalo wings and the sauce was great. Came with celery, carrots, and zucchini on the side. My friends had the burger and chicken wrap and both were great. I enjoyed the chips and my friends enjoyed the fries and sweet potato fries. We shared the pretzel appetizer and it was delicious. Came with both mustard and cheese. burgers were average...we had big mick burgers..described on their menu as 2 all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce cheese, pickles onions on a brioche bun. Where have I heard that before. Since we had never been here thought it would be safe....and it was. But in my opinion I've had a better burger. Price is average like other fast casual sit down restaurants. Service was slow, although for the time we were there they were probably understaffed. Would I go back? Probably not. But again, that's just me.
