Let me start by saying Rodney is not a bad person. I believe he is well-meaning overall, and wants…read moreto do good by people. However, you definitely don't want to hire him to work on your spa. While there is some chance he can fix it, but there is a large chance that like me he doesn't fix it. Charges you $375. Creates a huge leak in your area that ruins carpets. Promises to come back, doesn't come back. Say's he'll make it right and then doesn't. Here are the issues with Rodney: He's not a good troubleshooter. Despite having worked with spas a long time, he's not good a featuring out what the problem is. He cuts corners. For example he put the wrong piping in our hot tub which resulted in a huge leak that he denied repsonisiblity for. He said "it wasn't leaking when I left, so it's your fault". The next guy outlined all the problems it was a vertical consumer white piping not grey hottub suitable piping. You can't trust he will do what he says he will. He seems very earnest and says "Trust me" a lot, but you can't. Even if you get it in writing like I did, he will back out. During the first round, the hot tub didn't get fixed, but he said it was and said he had to go to another appointment. He promised to come back in the morning if there were any problems. It started leaking and I told him this multiple times, and he didn't respond for a long time. He didn't show up as promised in the morning, but said he would come at 5:00pm, but didn't show up again. Claimed he didn't say he would. He finally came back and did a bunch of work, but couldn't figure out the problem. He said he would need to charge to do more troubleshooting, even after he agreed in writing he would fix it for no more cost. We finally got another person out from Poole, and they were the opposite. Took 30 minutes to figure everything out and pointed out all the problems that rodney created. If you choose rodney, and horrible things happen and you have read this, then it's no one's fault but yours.

His quote was competitive and also was flexible in scheduling! Rodney is very knowledgeable and passionate about hot tub maintenance and cleaning which you can tell in his enthusiasm for creating the best experience. Rodney communicated some additional work that needed to be done to get rid of the calcification. He quickly was able to come up with a solution and was very thorough. I will definitely be using his services again!

BEWARE! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The good: Gavin was a very hands on contractor during the build,…read morealthough it took longer than it should have as they were juggling several jobs at once. The bad: My decking, retaining wall and coping began to bow and crack almost immediately. Pieces of it fall into the pool daily. It looks terrible. It's embarrassing and I am going to have to get it fixed to be functional. The ugly: Nathan, the owner, and Taylor, the CEO, both said they would resolve this and fix it. They stalled and stalled and claimed they were turning it over to their insurance to handle it, and no one ever did. Now I have turned it over to an attorney.

After dealing with Kris for a pool project on my own home, I knew he and Native Waterscapes would be the first and only recommendation to other potential clients seeking pools. The bidding process was honest, transparent, and it was easy to see I was dealing with experienced professionals. Quality work takes time. Everything in Austin takes extra time due to permits. This team is managed our time expectations, weather slowdowns, and Covid related materials slowdowns with excellent communication and complete professionalism. 10/10 Can't think of enough good things to say about the experience and couldn't be happier with how the pool turned out.

I cannot express how wonderful this company is. It is a family-owned company and their attention to…read moredetail is second to none. We had a pool built in our backyard that is breathtaking. The crew was the fastest crew I've ever seen, they got done so quick and we're so professional and the quality was out of this world. We could not be more happy with our pool. They even updated are pool deck with a coat of paint which makes it look outstanding. Again we cannot recommend this company enough I had 12 contractors come out and this is the only company that did not sell us extra stuff, the price was beyond reasonable, and the quality of work was the best.

Whatever stone they used for the coping WAS NOT what I was suppose to get. Pool is two years old and stone with just washing away. I ended up getting some very cheap form of limestone which is not suppose to be used for pools/water. I've had other pool companies come out to look and give me quotes, only to agree that I got ripped off. Upon talking with Backyard Lagoons about how we resolve this. He immediately back peddled and put the blame on me and said it's my problem. The other pool builders and masons I've had out, said there is no way pool coping is suppose to do that, especially after 1-2 years. I personally know 2 other customers who are having major issues with their BRAND NEW pools , that are having trouble getting fixed due to poor craftsmanship. I've asked the owner to come out and look for himself at the stone before pushing blame on me. He did not come out. He was not around when stone was delivered to make sure it was correct. Haven't heard from him since.
