Went to watch one of the Brazilian games got there a little before the game started and they weren't yet crowded were able to sit right in front of the screen to see the game Beer super cold We ordered the steak entrée with Farro and eggs and yucca. We also had a chicken dish that came with a risotto rice The chicken was the best part of the entire meal. It was juicy and delicious. One thing I wanna pour out is the service route received our waiter was on top of it making sure the beer was cold and refilled, and that everybody at the table had water and was to our liking . Definitely a great place to try out a very casual place . I would say this is Brazilian casual so dress up a little bit lol Family friendly throughout the week they have live music they show the game. It is always a warming, welcoming experience at Boteco do Manolo. Best Brazilian food in USA and in Brasil... maybe too! The menu is a food bible. Don't skip the appetizer, pastéis, cod fish cake, pork skin. This is all together with cold beer and caipirinhas! We came to enjoy some delicious Brazilian food this Saturday early afternoon. We were seated right away. There are lots of tables and space in the restaurant. Our waitress took our drink orders and appetizers quickly. As they were brought to our table we ordered our main course. Food was served hot and fairly quickly. The picanha was absolutely delicious. 5 generous slices. We ordered family style which came with rice, beans, farofa, sautéed collard greens and French fries. Price for food was very reasonable. Now the drinks I found a bit over priced. My passion fruit juice was $8. And it was good but nothing out of this world. But the service is always amazing and food very flavorful. So we had a Brazilian uber driver take us to our hotel and we asked him where he would eat Brazilian food, and this was the recommendation. This place was the gem of our trip to Orlando. Vey close to the Disney parks and lots of other fun spots around it. They were playing the Soccer games and it was packed, but we barely waited for a table. Our waiter was amazing!!!! He catered to our every need. If you like spicy a must try is their chili oil. I wish they bottled and sold it, I was ready to buy it on the spot. Everything I ate was fantastic, but the shrimp empanadas blew me out of the water. Full bar and good for small or large parties. Huge portions so be ready for that. Highly recommend checking out Boteca do Manolo restaurant. Everything tastes homemade, service is speedy, the ambianceis filled with life and emotions from watching fútbol games in real time. Our server was Marcelle, delightful woman that has a smile that lights up the room. She answered all my questions and found the answer to one she didn't know. This American girl asked lots of questions. Posting more as I travel the menu with the smorgasbord family style foods. We started with Cod Fritters that made me wonder if it was actually crab. It was so finely flaked it was melt in the mouth good. I tried it with the lengendary hot suace malagueta that will give you a run for your money to gulp water down quickly. The next appetizer were pasteles made of ground beef, chicken and a third of shredded beef. Delectable because they have a surprise of melted cream cheese that melds the flavors of the meat and cheese into a memorable bite of goodness White rice and black beans. The staple of any true Latin meal. The right balance of salt and seasonings in the black beans that make you hungry for more. Vinagreti is the salsa that is the definition of fresh. Finely chopped tomatoes, green peppers, onions, chives and a splash of vinegar that provides acidity and ummpffff The Picanha (Top Sirloin) is tender and juicy as it appears to be sautéd in butter and a hint of sauce which makes this meat satiates your pallet. Even when it cools down it is like eating the best burger you had. Yucca, one of my favorite potato substitutes is sooooo yummy. Try it with the vinagreta for an extra amount of mouth watering flavor. Couve aka kale is finely sliced (like spaghetti) and sautéd with garlic and chives which makes a flavorful side dish that adds another layer of intensity that is not too strong. Wait for it. Will never eat here again! I came here four times times with my family and once with friends.Two times we had GLASS, tiny pieces of glass in our food! The food we ordered was picanha with feijão tropeiro & vinagrete the platter for the family. And every single time we ended up also getting Covid the following days after going here. I know it seems like a lot but this is why I'm writing this review. It's long overdue. This is ridiculous this place needs to be regularly inspected. The need air purifiers or something since so many foreigners go here, the locals get sick with whatever the tourists bring. The beer here on the tap tastes fake and makes you extremely bloated. This place is a disaster if you're going! I will never go again! Terrible service as well, food takes forever and when it arrives the taste of the meat is weird. There is just something extremely off with this place. It needs really good cleaning of all the silverware and plates which come dirty. And please put an air purifier in. Food is great but customer beware of break ins out on the parking lot. This looks like a bad area at the end of International drive and the parking lot around the back of the restaurante is unmonitored. My car was broken into and there were other cars with broken glasses as well. Judging by the SEVERAL signs "do not leave your belongings inside the car", taped on every wall inside the restaurant, this is a common problem that no one is really doing anything about. I feel that as a Brazilian I have to come forward and give this place the review it deserves. My man is Puerto Rican, and we have been to this place together at least 5 times already (and will keep coming back). The price justifies how much food you will get (which is a lot) and the quality... checks kiss. Everything is well seasoned! The drinks are 9/10 are on point! I don't know who the bartender was yesterday, but all the drinks he made were lowkey terrible but this is a rare occurrence! And the waiter and manager, God bless them, were kind enough to take it off our check. The place looks beautiful, and the bathroom is always clean. I wish I had more photos to share. I want to give a special s/o to a waiter, Danilo, every time we show up he comes over to greet us and always makes sure we're straight we the drinks just the way we like it. The servers are very enthusiastic and take time to explain the menu to you, place is well decorated tool. The sides were all great, especially the escondidinho and farofa de carne seca. When in Orlando, my friends and I try to find a Brazilian restaurant to eat at to satisfy our craving since we miss Brasil. We came to find this place after seeing people rave this place to be an authentic Brazilian restaurant with excellent food. Authenticity is right, owned by a Brazilian and pretty much every one that works in there speaks portuguese. So we tried their recommendation of Picanha Manolo Style, pretty much seared slices of picanha with sauteed onions. Beware of their portions, they are not individual plates, they are meant to be shared with 2-3 other people when you order the half portions; the full portions are for 4 to 6 people. But then again if you are hungry, no stopping you in getting a whole plate to yourself. We also ordered Pastel de Carne e Queijo as appetizers as well as Linguica Calabresa with Onions. Also another half portion of Bobo de Camarao (Shrimp stew Brazilian style with coconut milk). Overall the food portions are good but quality and taste wise was just ok. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great either. Picanha that supposed to be medium rare (that how any steak is meant to be eaten) it came almost well done, not good. Pastel dough was a bit too rough, so it wasn't as enjoyable to eat. The linguica calabresa was good, that took us back to Brasil. Bobo de camarao, that just had a weird taste to all of us, and pretty much we didn't like that dish at all. First And Last Time. The food was subpart, traditional mid-level Brazilian restaurant ambiance without any fuss. If you like Brazilian music, look somewhere else. Some items are ridiculously more expensive when you order the suggested "samplers". Frango a Passarinho appetizer* $30 *Zero flavors, small order even for appetizer size. fritters appetizer (6) $31. suggested by the waiter Codfish, the most expensive of the three types cost $3.50/unit. Pay $10 for the sampler that comes with less expensive items. Cheese empanadas were undercooked (cheese half melt). The three appetizers plus two caipirinhas, two beers, and a soda came out to $138. The day before we had lunch at Fogo De Chāo and paid about the same amount for unlimited meats, a bottle of wine, the same 2 caipirinhas, and soda, and an unlimited salad bar, in a white table cloth elegant setting instead of bare tables with paper napkins. Quite honestly the only reason this restaurant got ANY stars was the wait staff's attitude. Everyone in the restaurant was extremely friendly and helpful. My waiter grew up in Brazil and made recommendations based on his childhood preferences. Now the pineapple capharina was DELICIOUS!! Then I ordered the chicken and dried beef empanadas. When they came out I received cheese and beef empanadas. The server said it was the kitchen's fault. But he did put in an order for chicken empanadas as well (I ended up with NINE empanadas). He also advised me to try the house made pepper oil, which he assured me was flavorful but not really spicy. Instead it was like fire in a jar. I'm pretty sure my tongue will never be the same. He went on to recommend the picanha steak dish. He was very emphatic that I order it with white rice because it allows the flavor of the steak to shine through. However, what came out was a steak smothered in cheese and bacon served with "crazy rice" (similar to fried rice, which is explicitly what he told me not to order. But once it came he tried to convince me that I wanted this dish rather than replacing it. I ended up with a dish I did not like or want. This was a $50 waste of money. The food was amazing. Huge portions. What they call a half portion could probably feed 2-3 people. The dessert was a really pleasant surprise. Everything we had was better than we expected. I will not support a business with sneaky, conniving tactics. I came in with my husband, my 7yr old son & my dad. We ordered -a kids meal $13 & change -a (bolinho mix appetizer($35) -3 beers $9 each -& side of tomatoes for the kids meal (which they charged $9 !!!!!!!! & a apple juice for him $5 !! So basically $27 for a kids meal So no full meals for the adults just ONE shared appetizer . Bill came , $105 ! So I'm looking at the details towards the bottoms $10 for 3x3 cover , I'm like wtf is that? So I ask the waiter & she's like , oh we charge a COVER CHARGE because they have live music. Uhm excuse me? So you're telling me , these sneaky ass Brazilian people, (I'm Brazilian , so I know how these people operate) decided to just go ahead & NOT HAVE ANY KIND OF SIGN LETTING PEOPLE KNOW they charge a cover fee to basically just be inside a restaurant. Which I've never hurd of. Ok $10 is not a lot but it's the SCHEMING behavior that rubs be the wrong way. I believe that is Wrong! & they need to be honest and upfront with their customers.
