So, I ate at several Boston Pizza locations and I was always satisfied with the service and food. This location in Kingston ON was just terrible. Some manager came and brought the menu and took our drink order. Never ever got any water over the 2 hour dinner ordeal which should've been 45 minutes. After 30 minutes a server asked us if we had ordered drinks yet and we said yes but nobody brought us anything or took our food order. 5 minutes later the server came with the double drink order. Another 15 minutes later someone finally took our food order. 10 minutes later we were told that they did not have the sauce we ordered. We ordered another sauce for the wings. We finally got our meals and I can say with confidence those were the worst wings I ever had and I travelled the world for 25 years. Biggest disappointing dinner. Really sad. I felt bad for the server since the issues were clearly management issues. I'm not sure if I ever go to another Boston Pizza again, that is how bad that experience was. The food was nicely prepared as usual for a Boston pizza. But the standout on this visit was the great service I received from my server Jessi. She was attentive and great at recommendations. Late night meal. One of the few places other than fast food joints open until 2am around Kingston. Ordered the Smoky Mountain Spaghetti and Meatballs ($20.99). Was pretty disappointed overall. The plate is huge and there's a ton in terms of pasta but only 2 meatballs. The meatballs I actually enjoyed and they were seasoned nicely. The pasta and sauce was not good. There wasn't enough sauce so it tasted a bit bland and the actual spaghetti was dry. Would've been 1 star if the meatballs weren't decent. We were at BP for dinner. The only reason we didn't complain was that servers and manager were super nice. Food was terrible. Caesar salad tasted watered down, croutons stale. My significant other and I attended on 9/26. It was not very busy at all and a good amount of servers to cover. We asked to sit at the bar. The bartender, a short/thin blonde girl, was friendly but had quite the mouth. I am assuming it was one of the managers, a male in a jersey also behind the bar, they had extremely classless language and attitudes. It took about 8-10 minutes for us to even place a drink order even with asking for a drink menu.. we sat at the bar? , and again it was not busy in my personal opinion. She was just slow in general. The food was okay, she did not serve our food. She made us a total of 4 drinks, one was a double vodka OJ and a classic marg. The double was not nearly as strong as the margarita. Again, her attitude was just extremely poor and she has zero class. I understand maybe venting and shit-talking in private but right in front of customers, and ontop of being slow is irritating. Focus on your customer service rather. The food was okay? We asked for the spinach dip for an appetizer and it came out with our pizza, also irritating. We paid $94-ish altogether without tip. We decided not to leave a tip for the negative service experience. Then, after paying, this girl had the audacity to snarkily say- "Was there something wrong with the service?", which my boyfriend responded with, "No, it was fine". I had zero patience to converse as that comment kind of sent me over the edge. Please, for the sake of everyone, don't be entitled to a tip AND happy a terrible attitude/service. I ordered "Salmon Power Bowl" for takeout from this Boston Pizza on Oct 2 while driving from Montreal to Toronto. I was a little surprised to find out that the rice and quinoa was completely raw and uncooked! So strange that someone thought this was how to serve rice.. I contacted the restaurant and gave them the opportunity to resolve the situation by refunding me but they were unable or unwilling to do so. All the General Manager Ford Duff offered was a $25 coupon only valid in Kingston, expiring within 2 months. I live 270km west of Kingston and haven't been back since. read more

A whole bunch of Americans coming from a devastatingly disappointing night of MMA fights walk into a bar...and it's the Boston Pizza across from the Courtyard Marriott. The bar staff is clearly not used to people looking to shut this place down but they were definitely good sports about the large group coming in at 11:30 on a Friday night. We ordered a whole bunch of drinks (including some fishbowls of vodka for the girls who had fought earlier that night) as well as a bunch of food. Everyone enjoyed their food and I didn't hear a single complaint about anything. From an American perspective the prices weren't bad, though I don't know how that translates to a Canadian perspective. But if you're coming over with US money, you'll be pleased. There weren't a ton of vegan options per se by they were totally willing to work with me and I ended up with an amazingly tasty vegan pizza with balsamic on it. Made me sooooo happy. So if you're staying at the Courtyard Marriott, this is a solid option even if you're getting in a little later. read more

A friend of min worked there. The store recently had a change of ownership. Leading to many people being fired, grilled by management. Spoken to as scum from the owners. Since taking over, hours and staff have been cut, people have been brought in to make part time hours. With the rest coming under the table. Hostesses get a small tip out because management dips in into the staff money. It's not a good environment to work, and will not support Boston Pizza until a change is made. Treat people better. Don't tell them they'll be paid 25 an hour on a job posting and the give them minimum wage. Don't threaten peoples jobs, with the idea that you can just bring someone else in for cheaper. (we know how this is being done). I will make other posts on different sites so word gets out about this poorly managed company. The owners own both BP's in town. read more

Boston Pizza serves up very decent pizza. No, it's not a wood-fired oven place: this is a chain restaurant that doesn't specialize in just pizza, but it's an excellent thin crust with good toppings. They have a good selection of beers - some on tap and even some craft beer. They have everything from salads to pastas and sandwiches. Service was good at lunch, better at dinner - as this location is near in the same parking lot as a Marriott Courtyard. Look, this should be a 3.5 star review; it'd be 4 if they hadn't dawdled a little at lunch (food was still very good then too, though). I'd take Boston Pizza over an Applebee's, TGI Friday's, or the like every time. Give Boston Pizza a try - especially this one - and you won't regret it. Recommended. read more

We were deiving back from Montreal and we had to stop to grab something fast to eat to keep going. My toddler had the spaguettis which she ate completely!! We shared a salad and a thin crust pizza, of which both were excellent! The salad had pumpkin seeds, cranberries, goat cheese, bacon, kale and was delicious! The pizza was great too! Our waiter, Ubayda Aatel, was super attentive and was running from one table to the other serving us extremely well! Food came out pretty fast and smooth. This was the worst meal my family and I have ever had. Their "nachos" were potato chips, (not nacho chips, but potato chips) with old bits of steak and sloppy toppings. The salsa was awful too. My son's burgers were burnt, dried out pucks. My wife's pasta was a mushy mess. Gross. Never will I ever eat in another Boston Pizza again. I don't understand the bad reviews on chain restaurants... this is a Boston Pizza, you know what to expect when you walk through the door. This location is the same as every other location. The bar will be full of business travelers because its in the Marriott parking lot. Its pretty much the only place to go when I stay at the Courtyard Marriott. Last time I was there, a drunk couple had a loud argument at the bar, it was entertaining. Also, the guy beside me tried really hard to look like he was doing work so everyone knew he was on business and not just dining alone.... way to go buddy, everyone fell for it. Cheers. read more

I've never much cared for Boston Pizza but it was right beside the hotel and we were with our daughter's hockey team. I ordered the Big Dipper and (crispy) fries. The sandwich in the picture looked delicious with meet and cheese spilling over the sides! What I got was disappointing and certainly nothing like the picture (nothing spilling over the sides). Taste was average, beef was fatty and the au jus was practically tasteless. Fries were soggy. My wife had some kind of ravioli and wasn't too happy with that either. Service was ok, considering how busy it was (We had to keep asking for a refill). Our friend ordered appetizers to share and they were also average. I haven't been to a BP for many years, and now I remember why... Not sure how this chain keeps going. read more

Had my 74th Birthday on Sunday, it was not very busy and still waited for a hour before food came. The French fries were cold, the steak on a bun was so tough 3 of us could not eat it and returned it to the kitchen. We then waited an other 1/2 hr. to get another item. They brought out the French fries first about 10 min. before the entrée. The rest of the party had already ate there entrée and then got there French fries.
