Came as a larger group of ~7, and we ordered ~5 pizzas & 1 pasta. While the other pizzas were pretty good, I can mainly comment on my deep dish. My deep dish pizza was rather lackluster. The crust was good, however while I'm no deep-dish expert.....it's not supposed to be filled with a salad almost... to my knowledge.

Pros: huge list of fun and delicious cocktails, wood fired pizzas which you can watch get made, generous and unique toppings available, pizza is thin crust and not greasy, ambience is cosy and fun. Cons: we got seated by a high-traffic doorway leading to the kitchen and bathrooms and constantly had people swiping by us- not really a great spot to have a table TBH. Also, not a ton of variety to the menu so would really only recommend if you're looking for pizza and cocktails. Overall, a lively downtown restaurant perfect for a night on the town be it a date night or a friends' night out. Would come here again (requesting a different table) and would recommend.

Came here on the suggestion of a salesman from OnePlant & I gotta say he was spot on, this place has Amazing pizza. The Brooklyn is a must have if you're craving a New York Style slice while in the area, definitely going to return.

This is one of our top 2 Italian places in Kingston. We really love the salads and pastas, although the specialize in pizzas. A few noteworthy dishes over the past few times we've been here: - GET the fungi pizza. So creamy, so earthy, so good. - GET the orchiette pasta - especially if you like bitter things. I love the bitter green veg in this dish. - GET the caesar - nice and garlicky, with ample amounts of bacon. It was pretty salty though. - DODGE the green hummus - it was under seasoned, and didn't taste like much. Looking forward to coming back and trying the rest of their menu out!

This place has really good food and a cool vibe. Took it on a complete whim, and without any planning. Walked in pretty early, 5ish before a movie) and got seated immediately. Table bread came with local olive oil and vinegar, which was pretty good. The menu is split up into tapas, larger plates and pizzas, as well as a vegetarian/vegan section. We got a few tapas and they were delicious. Sweet potato hummus was alright, nothing to write home about. The tofu bao was great though. "Buttermilk" fried tofu with a slightly spicy ranch, pickles and lettuce on soft fluffy bao buns. Awesome. Arrancini was good, again just good, but something I always have to try. Wish it was hotter. Finally, the bruschetta was pretty good. Not the best I've ever had but not bad by any means. Overall, great vibes, good food and I will be returning to try the cocktails.

I LOVED the food here. It was super flavourful and delicious! I would definitely come back again. I also loved the presentation. Classy and affordable!

Pasta Genova - They make focaccia, pasta and sandwiches right here at the back of the store.

That's just the weirds stuff that I like... the FOCACCIA -- they're baking it right there! There's only two sandwiches. This is a GOOD THING... meat or veggie. Apart from amazing -- small detail: romaine, crispy, super fresh... the meats and veggie patty: great recipe. This all before mentioning their namesake dish... pasta... six feet away from the baking, a lady pulling noodles out of a pasta machine, which I'll have to experience next time.

Since moving to Toronto, I miss Pasta Genova deeply…read more They have some of the very best focaccia anywhere, which alone is enough to recommend them. But they also have nearly peerless homemade pastas (of which the smoked paprika linguine is my favourite, though they often only make it by request), spectacular prepared sauces, and regular specials on essentials that will get you things like premium olive oil or balsamic vinegar* at supermarket prices. * Genova is one of the few places I've regularly found a variety of pure, aged balsamic vinegar free from sulphites. AWESOME. So, here's some tips: 1) They ONLY TAKE CASH, no exceptions. I once witnessed a woman curse them out for this fact and declare she'd tell all her friends not to shop there; when she left, everyone in the tiny shop, myself included, burst out laughing, and one of the guys declared "we can barely keep up with the customers we have, we don't need her!". Very jovial, and they took her bitch-fest so perfectly in-stride they could give lessons on how to turn the other cheek. 2) If you need a quick lunch, pick up a focaccia sandwich -- they're about $4 if memory serves, with salami, lettuce, tomato, and mustard, and they're fantastic! If you want to suddenly realize you're hungry, walk down Wellington around 11:00am for the wafting glory of baking focaccia and just try to resist the pull. 3) When ordering pasta instead of ordering by weight, order by serving size. Say things like "I'm having a dinner party for six, four big eaters and two regular", and they'll give you an incredibly accurate amount of what you need, plus a little extra (because people WILL want seconds, believe me!). 4) Their homemade calabrese olives are out of this world good. They use a puree of oil-marinated chilis, oregano, fennel (I think), and oil, and very, very good sun cured olives... and damn, these things are so good I eat them until I hurt. 5) Ask what's on special, or if they have any leftovers. I've scored half servings of pasta, day old (but still delicious) focaccia, and nearly expired but still awesome cheese for cheap. Finally, I'll also mention that the staff here are fabulous -- very nice people who greet with a smile, always bid a good day, and work diligently to help provide you with exactly what you need to hit a homerun with whatever it is you're cooking. Only downside: Toronto Maple Leaf fans. Egads!

Normally I would never get this type of pizza as I love a red sauce, but this was recommended by one of my friend's friends so we tried it. And I'm so glad we did! This pizza is amazing and the flavours are prefectly balanced. Fast forward to this year, I was on a road trip with my husband and my dog and I just HAD to have this pizza again. We ordered the Nona Mela and the Citta pizza (the Citta has prosciutto and brie), and they were both delicious! The Nona Mela was especially good, and my husband agreed that it was a lot better than what he expected. We couldn't finish the two pizzas between us, so we brought the leftovers home and reheated it two days later. Somehow, the pizza was even better than the day of! We actually ordered an extra Nona Mela to bring home to one of my friends who was on the girls trip a few years ago, as she also has been thinking of this pizza. That's how good it is! The pizza is on the pricier side though, but very worth. We sat on the patio since we had a dog and the waiters/waitresses were very nice and gave my dog a water bowl.

Half of my family went in to grab our table while my dad and I spent some time searching for parking which probably took roughly 15 minutes. When we got in, there was already water on our table which was nice however after that moment it took 20 minutes for our server to come to our table. I have a lot higher expectations for this place as I have been a couple times and it is a higher end restaurant so I was kinda disappointed. Mind you our reso was at 8pm so we were pretty hungry at this point. The server didn't really say much or apologize for not coming by so it was overall a bit strange. Besides that the food was pretty good, I got the seafood linguine which tasted pretty fresh but I probably wouldn't order it again as there are other things on the menu I like better. My dad ordered the braised lamb shank and my mom and grandma shared the penne pomodoro. Overall the lamb was definitely the best dish out of them all. Not sure if I would come back here, if I was ever visiting Kingston again as there are just so many great restaurants to choose from and I was not satisfied with the service which I think is important especially for a high end place.
