Veal with prosciutto, cheese and asparagus

Absolutely outstanding. Our server, Megan, was exceptional and our meal was delicious. We will definitely be coming back and recommend Casa to our friends

This is our favourite downtown Italian restaurant. I order the Gnocchi in gorgonzola sauce. However, I have ordered this for years and when we went here a month ago, the waiter told me they had changed my dish! Now it has a pistachio pesto on top, but he assured me I would love it. I ordered it, but I did not like the pesto. It took away from the velvety rich gorgonzola cream sauce. Luckily, it was not mixed into the pasta (it was just a big dollop on top), so I ate around it. I wish these long-standing local restaurants would stop changing "favorite" menu items. They are favorites for a reason. Now I'll just have to ask for it without the pesto. Not the end of the world. My husband always orders steak and says it's incredible. We will keep returning, hoping they don't make too many other changes.

This place seems to be a prof favorite, as you frequently see them eating here as you walk by and they readily recommend the place. It's good, but in the last few years, better options have saturated the scene. Took my family here when we went down for convocation. Yes, one of our profs was there, eventually surrounded by no less than seven families. Got a mojito to drink and started with the Melanzane alla Parmigiana (eggplant). It was tasty with a nice crispness. For mains, we all got pasta dishes - Bolognese, Scallopatti, Spaghetti con Polpette, and Frutti de Mare. Everything was good, but maybe would have expected more out of a place like this.

I came here for my mothers retirement party. I was not feeling very adventerous and just had a chicken ceaser salad. We were a party of about 15 or so and everyone seemed pleased with their meals. I did find the menu a tad pricey for the dishes that are offered. But a very classy atmosphere

Chicken mozzarella with potatoes cake and carrots... Lovely!

This is a very good restaurant. We took pasta and chicken, plus a cocktail to start, and it was one of the best we have eaten since a long time. Service was perfect, everybody was smiling and very attentioned, asking us several times if everything was ok. The place is nice and there is sufficient space between the tables. I would definitively recommend this restaurant, and would come here again without any hesitation.

The lamb panini, side caesar and the special panini.

Best chairs in town. Next time you go to Casa, don't sit on the booth side, sit in a chair.

The bresola was sliced so thin with a delicious honey and truffle flavour, I couldn't get enough.

When my wife and I were going to be making a random stop in Belleville for a couple nights, I did…read moremy thing and looked up what to do and eat while in town. I'm from an even smaller town, so I'm used to short lists for those things, but I was glad when I randomly came across The Lark. It wasn't on one of the review sites or a travel blog, but just simply perusing the downtown landscape on Google Maps. Their space on Bridge Street is airy and spacious, but the small footprint keeps things intimate, with a stunning bar that beckons to slake your thirst. Although the restaurant's name isn't on-the-nose Italian, the menu is very much so. With a handful each of primi, secondi and dolci, chances are that you won't suffer from choice paralysis while ordering, but what they have is nonetheless quite enticing. Burrata is always an easy choice, especially at a restaurant like The Lark where you know you're going to get good quality cheese and accoutrements. They didn't disappoint! The milky, semi-solid cheese paired well with tender hunks of sweet butternut squash and the crisp savouriness of fried sage. Pomegranate seeds and hazelnuts brought some sweetness and crunch, while house-made sourdough was good enough to be eaten on its own. For my main, I went with the beef cheek pappardelle. The succulent shreds of cheek took the place of ground beef in the rich Bolognese, and my taste buds were all the better for it. The fresh pappardelle was luxuriously tender, with its delicate folds sopping up all that delicious sauce. Rounded out with parm and basil, it shows that you don't have to recreate the wheel to make an excellent dish. My wife's brown butter gnocchi was no slouch either, with a decadent cream sauce, and nice hint of char to the lovely and light pasta pillows. Not to be beaten, the apple cobbler was absolutely amazing. Definitely sized for two, but no judgment if you solo it, every part was fall dessert perfection. Service was wonderfully knowledgeable on the food and drink side, as well as friendly and easygoing. I was getting strong owner-vibes, but I'm too lazy to do the amount of Googling required for a confirm. The Lark is getting done dirty by the algorithm on the major review sites and if they won't loudly announce their possession of the title as "best restaurant in Belleville", I sure will.

I've gone back again since my first time visiting to try a few more things. The Beef Cheek Pappardelle was my overall favourite, but the Beef short rib was a close second. It's a cute little spot in downtown Belleville with a nice ambience. There's lots of street parking available nearby or there's a big lot that's very walkable. Service was great, we even got the bartenders choice for the drinks and it was really well done. If you're ever in the Belleville area and are looking for a spot to have dinner, this is definitely the place.

Half of my family went in to grab our table while my dad and I spent some time searching for parking which probably took roughly 15 minutes. When we got in, there was already water on our table which was nice however after that moment it took 20 minutes for our server to come to our table. I have a lot higher expectations for this place as I have been a couple times and it is a higher end restaurant so I was kinda disappointed. Mind you our reso was at 8pm so we were pretty hungry at this point. The server didn't really say much or apologize for not coming by so it was overall a bit strange. Besides that the food was pretty good, I got the seafood linguine which tasted pretty fresh but I probably wouldn't order it again as there are other things on the menu I like better. My dad ordered the braised lamb shank and my mom and grandma shared the penne pomodoro. Overall the lamb was definitely the best dish out of them all. Not sure if I would come back here, if I was ever visiting Kingston again as there are just so many great restaurants to choose from and I was not satisfied with the service which I think is important especially for a high end place.
