Found this amazing little coffee bar in downtown Lancaster. The interior makes you feel like you just walked into a little boutique in Paris. Not only can you get coffee and bakery items, you can explore the local flare Boss Chic partners with. From jewelry to candles and clothes to stickers, there's a little bit of something for everyone. Daniel, the manager is very friendly and makes a mean latte. You can take your cute mason jar coffees to the showroom area or sit on the chaise lounge. Boss Chic even has a cool little area for those who want selfies. The very minor negatives we found were: 1. The sprinkles were a little too crunchy 2. The latte was a bit heavy 3. I've been here a few times and always enjoyed myself, I have even posted on my social media to get them more business, and today I was highly disappointed! I ordered 2 of their Lover's matcha drink (which was disgusting by the way) and I could not believe that for 2 small drinks i paid $19 and change. That is completely outrageous. In addition I was a little taken back by the fact that their whole business is around their indoor aesthetic, so while I waited for my drink to be made i was walking around looking at the items they sell. The girl making the drinks was taking while so i decided to browse while I waited. I was the only customer in there, and when I was in their boutique, a woman came to me and rudely told me I could not be in the boutique because they were setting up for a private event. If you don't want anyone in your store then put up a sign, or don't open at all. I presume i'm paying a high price of drink because you also have to pay for your location in which I don't get to enjoy because of your event. It was annoying because i wasn't bothering anyone and was just looking to pass time by while I waited for my drink. Definitely not the experience I was expecting today. read more

Loved this place! Visiting Lancaster for a soccer game and I had to stop here for my morning coffee. The aesthetics of this place is so cute! Loved the swing in the front of the House. The inside is just gorgeous. The service was very friendly and my ice coffee delicious! I love that they sell gift items and clothes. There's also plenty of inside sitting. I love this coffee shop it's the cutest pink house in the Antelope Valley , not only do they serve delicious drinks but they also have several woman owned small business. Quality and taste of their products is top tier and well worth every penny. If I could give this place -100 stars, I would. There's so many things wrong with the way this business is ran, so i'll just get right into it. 1) The Sanrio merch that they sell in the boutique can literally be found at Five Below, Temu, and AliExpress. It's absurd that they charge $25 on a hello kitty notebook when you can buy the EXACT same one at Five Below for $5. 2) Their drinks are overpriced and mid. $9 for a SMALL iced latte that tastes like trash is unacceptable. 3) Don't even get me started on the pastries that they sell..... lol. They're selling COSTCO muffins and charging $4 for each one. No thanks. I'll go to Costco and buy a pack of 6 for the same price. As for their other pastries, they sometimes sell pastries from Porto's, but expect them to cost $6 or more. Yikes. 4) They're inconsistent, lack transparency, lack customer service skills, lack professionalism, lack common courtesy, and lack communication skills. Enough said. 5) Their hours suck. Yelp says they close at 9pm, but that's not true because when I tried to come in at 4pm one day, they were closed. How annoying. 6) If you ever do decide to buy merch from their boutique, I suggest waiting it out until they have their sales on their live. They offer 25% off + no taxes on the same item you would've bought in person (for full price) the day before. Save yourself some money. Also! Make sure to pay for/pick up the item within 24 hours of the live sale otherwise the discount doesn't apply anymore and it's back to being full price. They don't tell you that though, so I will. 7) In all honesty, Boss Chic Coffee Bar & Boutique is a huge disappointment to the AV. They've built their foundation on this idea of "women empowerment" and being a "boss girl", yet they take advantage of women (and children) by price gouging their store merch, ripping them off with crappy drinks, and hosting group events where the fee to participate is $50 per person. I thought I finally had a public safe space to embrace my girlhood, but now i'm left feeling disappointed, taken advantage of, and stupid for trying to support a women owned, latina owned, small business coffee shop. 8) They don't take accountability for their faults and won't take any form of corrective action to satisfy a customer. Just FYI. 9) Save your money, avoid this business, and try other local coffee shops (with WAY better drinks!) like Trio Coffee House or Sagebrush Cafe. 10) Update: Leaving hateful comments on my review does nothing except make this business look worse. Personally wasn't my favorite spot, tbh. It's great if you're the type of person who likes Sanrio, Sonny Angels, Labubus, Disney, etc. It has a very cute vibe to it, with most of the decorations being pastel pinks and purples. However, it is also very overconsumption core if that makes sense? I didn't mind the maximalist approach they were going for, but a lot of the stuff that was decorating the cafe portion and the shop portion of this place was merchandise. Again, if you like any of the franchises I've stated above, this would be perfect for you, but I'm just not a huge fan of the expensive mass-produced trinkets. The drinks themselves were interesting, and my sister and I actually had differing opinions about them. I thought that A Night in Paris was nicely sweetened once you've mixed up the syrup, but my sister believed it to be quite unsweetened, which I suppose is due to the bitterness of the coffee overpowering it. At least the service that we got was great, and though it took a few minutes for our coffee to be done, the barista was apologetic about it and very polite. read more

If you're looking for event decent coffee this is not the spot. They charge as much as specialty coffee spots on LA but the coffee was worse than gas station coffee. Just tasted like water sugar. Lovely little coffee shop near the boulevard in Lancaster. It was so cute inside! The woman working there was so friendly. Our drinks were good. The items in the boutique were interesting and cute. I would definitely recommend this place if you're looking for a fun place to hang out for a little while. The only reason I'd give it 4 and not 5 stars is that they didn't have many food options. It would be nice if they had something more homemade- maybe even from a local bakery near by- for sale here. Other than that it's a very lovely place with good service and yummy drinks! read more

Cute local coffee shop less than a block off the BLVD. I ordered the Night in Paris latte (iced) which was absolutely delicious and pretty with the heart sprinkles. The barista was really friendly and took care when making my drink rather than rushing through. The only reason I couldn't give 5 stars was the drink was really expensive so this will be a special treat and not an every day drink. read more

I've never been to a spot in the AV quite as cool as this coffee shop. The interior is decorated from floor to ceiling with all kinds of flowery pink aesthetic stuff, and there's a lot of Sanrio/Hello Kitty too. They have multiple cute little side areas to take aesthetic Instagram pictures with your friends. I really like how the menu has your basic lattes but also creative drinks too. I ordered a large Night in Paris, which was an iced latte with vanilla and rose flavoring and milk foam on top. Personally I didn't taste the rose flavor, but rose is a pretty subtle flavor compared to strong espresso. I also follow them on Instagram and they post about new drinks/events frequently! Additional points for having tea drinks too for the non-coffee drinkers. Lastly - yeah, I paid almost ten bucks for my large beverage. Starbucks is about the same price nowadays, but I don't hear people complaining about that. I'd rather put my money into a local business than a mediocre giant like Starbucks. Rating: 9/10. The vibes were great, I got some Sanrio gifts for my friends from the boutique, it was cool. I'm really glad we have a place like this in the AV! read more

I was able to make it in after observing the correct hours on the door. The coffee is good, I enjoy Dutch bros and the cold brew is about as good as that place. The service was fantastic. The barista gave me a quick run down of the place and showed me where the menus and specials were. The business also had a very nice aesthetic and while the decor is not to my taste personally I will come back with my wife and daughter for them to look around and try out some baked goods or a nice drink. read more

Once you get past all the cute stuff, and realise the way this business is actually run it's super disappointing. For starters the drinks are hit or miss. Be prepared to spend over $8 on a nasty drink you likely will not like. The drinks may look cute and good on Instagram but they don't taste that way. Not sure if it's the baristas or lack of quality in ingredients. The boutique.. I recommend only really buying directly from the local vendors that sell things here because it's likely that majority of those items are handmade. The knock off Sanrio stuff is really tempting to buy, but you're better off looking for it on Temu, Five Below, or Tj Maxx etc lol. Any true Sanrio fan knows you can find all these items at these stores for a fraction of the price. They buy a lot of their inventory at these stores and charge 3-5 times the original price. You leave feeling like you got ripped off with the intention of wanting to support a small business. The crazy thing is their "deals" are so inconsistent. One day you'll go in thinking the entire store (due to the way they "advertise" on instagram) is discounted only to find 2 racks of ugly shirts are on sale. Then the next day they'll have a live sale on Instagram, when you paid full price at the store for the SAME merchandise. They don't seem to do any type of partial refunds. If you've read this far, you're better off driving out of town to an actual Sanrio store, and to a different local coffee shop for good coffee. Profiting off of people in this economy by price gouging the prices of cheap items is not a sincere way to run a business. They should at least try to not make it so obvious. Transparency about the random different sales everyday on the items should be a thing. Super unprofessional, clearly they don't know what they're doing and will have to learn the hard way. *If you choose to be vocal about your experience here & leave an honest yet poor review be prepared to get harassed by people that are trying to defend the cafe. I've already had 2 people leave me some rude comments, I don't understand why people are taking this as a personal attack. I was just sharing my personal experience, it's called freedom of speech. That's what Yelp is for. At the end of the day how you feel about a business is your own experience. Some of those people left 5 star reviews right after harassing me. Seems like they're either friends with the owners or fake reviews. This is crazy, do better. Take it as feedback, improve and move on. read more

I guess the third time really is a charm! I'm leaving 5 stars because I don't like to leave negative reviews for small businesses, unless they really deserve it, which takes a lot. That said, I have struggled with this business, mainly because of the inconsistency of their hours, I had been here two previous times during their website listed hours and there was no one here. The first time someone showed up about 15 minutes past their opening time, which I understand can obviously happen, the issue with that experience was more that the person working was in no way apologetic or even encouraging for me to stay. I got a very definite feeling that she was happy that I didn't stay, not a great showing for a new business. Which brings us to my third times a charm experience today, they were open and the girl working was very sweet and welcoming! It's super cute inside and was the perfect place for me to have a cup of tea while waiting for an appointment up the street. I had the Lavender Lady hot tea, it had a very nice mellow flavor and was perfect for the cold day. The only thing that could have made it better would be a cute little tea cup to drink it in, maybe even with a tea pot to accompany it....tea loses its charm when served in a paper cup. I would have loved a better variety of cakes/pastries, but I understand that they have to stock according to their sales, no sense in wasting product. It took awhile for me to be able to experience this sweet little pink house, I'm very happy that I got the opportunity, I plan on coming back. read more

I guess im not the typical customer for a "cute" coffee shop. It seems to be a place for women to hang out in. Completly covered in pink and crowded with lots of cute and famine decor. The music was too loud for a coffee shop and some sort of new tecno pop. No patio seating. Coffee was good. read more

I stopped in for my 1st visit. No one was there besides one employee. It was nice and cool inside on a hot summer's day. The employee there smiled. I told her it was my 1st visit. She didn't acknowledge that. I'm not trying to seem important but hey it's my 1st time visiting this place, any recommendations? Anyways, after the awkward pause. I ordered a latte and a cookie. I was told some obscure price. Like $15. I asked, "how much is the latte?" She said it's because you ordered the cookie. I said the cookie is $3. She paused and caught her error. She read my new total, which was accurate. I didn't like that I couldn't see what price I was being charged nor was I asked to sign anything or given the option for a receipt. The latte was bomb tho! I've been coming to this cute coffee shop ever since it opened. I get the night in Paris every time, it's my favorite. Recently, however, they hired a new girl that is not up keeping the same customer service as the others. She's rude, uninterested in giving you a good experience, on the phone with a friend talking very loudly, yells at me to go get my drink, and forgets the sprinkles on the night in Paris :( I've seen her on Thursday and Friday mornings. My favorite barista is the guy. He is always so pleasant and friendly and makes sure you have a good experience at the shop. I've also met the daughter of the owner and she's great! I'm sorry to give the shop one less of a star bc I really do like and love the coffee it's so good and I crave it all the time. But I'm displeased with their recent hiring choice. read more

Highly disappointed. Have been waiting to try this place for so long. Finally went and was loving the boutique before ordering my coffee. Finally went to order drinks. Picked up a coloring book for my daughter. As I'm ordering my drinks, I was asked if I would like 2%, oat or almond milk. Naturally, I chose 2% thinking the other options were extra. After ordering 4 drinks, I see my total is almost $50. What the hell? When I asked the girl what I was being charged for, she just said oh well the milk is extra. Excuse me? Why would milk be extra in a latte?? She then says oh you chose 2%. Yes, because there were only 3 options given. So not only was I being overcharged, I was being ripped off by the girl not mentioning that all the choices she gave me would cost more. When I asked what the drink normally comes with, she said "oh, whole milk." What kind of dishonest person does that crap?? On top of this, I removed the overpriced coloring book. Amazingly, my total was now $23. Be cautious coming here. They'll charge you for things without telling you. read more

They do lovely cappuccinos and pastries/muffins and have really lovely things for sale. You just need to see for yourself - I know I'm going to come back and bring a couple of friends for tea.
