Seated straight away for dinner even though no booking.
3 to our group, we had the sirloin, fish and chips and the slow cooked lamb shoulder.
Sirloin - must have been cured as it was absolutely delicious and the texture was perfect. Cooked perfectly - medium rare.
Fish and chips - King George Whiting - also lovely and the chips were nice and crispy.
Slow cooked lamb shoulder was beautiful - cooked long enough that you could pull it apart with a fork, but still kept it's shape well and was lovely and moist, so tasty.
We had 2 sides - snow pea, mint and Parmesan salad as well as the crispy fried Brussel sprouts, shallots and ginger - both really nice and a good complement to the mains.
We also had just one alcoholic drink (espresso martini - the nicest one I've ever tasted too), and then just sparkling and tap water.
Total bill just under $150.
I was totally satisfied - had enough to eat - would have loved more because it all tasted so good but I would have been overfull if I had. The 2 blokes I was with did want more food (and had a bit more at home later). We could have had entrees as well but it would have blown the budget we had.
Atmosphere good, place was packed so it was a bit noisy but that's to be expected. Service good, everyone friendly and attentive, can't really fault anything.
Will definitely come back again - probably with the girlfriends - as there's a few other things on the menu I'd really like to try! read more
