Despite this we were still greeted warmly, were given a table and had amazing service. This place has some very fine food on offer at very reasonable prices. To give you some understanding our OVERALL bill almost matched the price of one pasta dish at a nearby restaurant. Sometimes you want a nice meal at a good price. The food came out quickly and hot. I don't normally comment on the smell of the meal but the French Onion Soup was absolutely captivating. Once this meal grabbed your attention you couldn't deprive yourself. The restaurant and its surrounds were dainty and relaxing, and with outdoor seating you're given the opportunity to really soak in the peace. Noise level is a minimal. Would love to come back here to try one (or several) of their pastries and a coffee.

On our arrival we were warmly welcomed and quickly attended to. We sat inside where it was warm, dry (raining out), and it smelt absolutely lovely. We were soon served Pumpkin soup with creme fresh and pancetta, which as full of flavour and great first course starter. This was followed by their duck foie gras that was very generous in size and looked and tasted amazing. Third course to follow was seared scallops on a bed of cauliflower puree. This was the dish of the night! It was plate-licking-worthy! Cooked to perfection. Next course, 4th on the list, was duck breast. Perfectly cooked, succulent and flavoursome. Lastly was the dessert and this was the only let down, primarily because it was a cold dish. Given the season is winter, it would have been nice to have a warm dessert. This could have been easily achieved had they heated through the bread and butter pudding and heated the creme anglaise. The dessert itself was large and tasted nice, but it just wasn't the perfect end to the four courses ahead of it. We ordered a lovely French bottle of wine and on settling the bill was served really lovely handmade petite fours - little chocolate and pistachio bites. Very nice. The wait staff were all lovely, attentive and French natives. In all, we thoroughly enjoy our dinner here and look forward to returning.

Unwritten is supposed to be a book cafe shop, but it's just a regular cafe, with smooth lattes, delicious pastries and a range of meal options, with a bookshelf filled with books to borrow and read on the spot. They have a cute but small terrace on the front that can get very hot on a sunny day. The staff is super friendly and now that I'm there often enough, they don't even give me a table number anymore! There are a couple of big tables for groups, a few couches and bat stools with a view, so wether your own your own or with a bunch of friends and their little humans, there will be a seat for you. If can get busy just before school starts (during the week) or a bit after 9:30 on the weekends. Don't forget to take a coffee card to get a free coffee for every 9 or 10. It's a great excuse to pay your friend's coffees ;)

Great local place for coffee, home made cakes and slices, wicked French Toast. Good Juices,…read moremilkshakes and smoothies, and great staff. Comfy seating and lounges makes it a lovely spot for a coffee and a chill out. One word of caution, if you order a smoothie, be sure to tell them you want it with yogurt, not ice cream, as they may not ask you, and the ice cream version is a bit sickly. Just been back for a Saturday brunch, and the place was jumping! Fantastic Eggs Benedict.

Eggs Benedict was really good, could have used more hollandaise, but still very nice. Prices are quite high though, and the noise levels are very high (i.e. bad accoustics)

Previously I had written a review for The Big Tree House Cafe in Dundas, and is was fantastic…read more Several months after writing that review, my wife and I went back there and it wasn't quite as fantastic - you see, my favourite dish there was not the same , and we suspected that the place had changed hands- we were right! They really did try to fix the problem but wouldn't admit that they changed the cooking method. I cannot fault them as they really wanted us to be happy but the damage was done. When you have a winning dish that everybody loves, and you change it, only problems will follow. The reason I am telling you this is because Dining @ Co is where the last owner went, to a bigger location, and the same skill he used to make The Treehouse a fantastic place for coffee and food . Dining@ Co. feels like it is a bit out of the way but the locals and people that know, will tell you it is worth looking for. Top service with a smile, incredible Campos coffee prepared by skilled staff( I always want to take another coffee with me when I leave) , freshly prepared meals presented with skill and care, and yummy looking goodies in the display case. I went there today for the first time , but my wife has been there a few times and said it was as good as their previous location. We both just had something simple - Bacon and Egg Rolls and a coffee- it was divine-generous with bacon and oozy eggs with rocket on warm soft focaccia bread- what more could you want. And the coffee did not disappoint . Strong not bitter, creamy and not too hot, and yes I wanted a second one but held back. I just want to say, if you have ever been to a crappy cafe where the coffee is just okay, the staff act like they would rather be somewhere else, the food passes but you wish it was a cut above your expectations, Try this place, it will show you that there are places like this that care and can give you a wonderful experience for not too much money- they really know what they are doing. We went back another day and had another nice meal. I tried the Eggs Benedict with Smoked salmon, and my wife had the Ricotta Pancakes. Both dishes were generous and presented well- please give it a go
