Been to Boro Brine for both the tasting menu and à la carte and it's definitely worth the hype. They switch up the tasting menu so it's worth a second tasting visit and the pricing is very fair for the meal. Do note that they are limited in the days that host the tasting so book early (I believe it's a 6 and 830 on Th-Sat). À la Carte is also very worth it, we got the focaccia, tuna carpaccio, asparagus, steamers and branzino. It was fantastic! The wait staff is so friendly and helpful with recommendations. We've been a couple of weeks ones and can't wait to go back!

This wasn't just dinner it was an experience. Sitting at the bar was a great way to enjoy our cousin holiday get together. The fish filet was bomb. The staff goes above and beyond. And the rest of the courses hit high marks. Love the Filipino flare to the dishes.

TL;DR/Favorite dishes- Tuna Carpaccio, Spanish Mackerel, Pot Pie, Sticky Date Cake Located in South Williamsburg, this excellent newer seafood-focused restaurant features two changing menus, a current $95 tasting menu, and an à la carte menu. This place ages and dries a lot of their meats and fish, and you can taste the quality throughout their menu. The lighting inside is a tad dark, but it seems like it would be a nice date spot. The place has a nice drink menu, as expected for the chef's pedigree, and I went with one of their cocktails. This was the $18 Salt & Grain, a rum-based drink with rye whiskey, white miso, sesame, and banana. This was both unique and excellent, with flavors including some sweetness, smokiness, and earthiness from the miso. Another person enjoyed a $22 Tomato Martini with gin, or her choice, vodka. The first bites to arrive were two orders of Focaccia for $9, with stracciatella, anchovies, and tomato-garlic confit. The focaccia had a nice crust, and the mix worked very well, with the slightly salty anchovies complementing the rich cheese and the confit adding just enough aromatics. This was a delicious opening bite, and I can imagine it working well on the tasting menu also, as an initial course. The second and third courses, those being the two raw fish dishes, arrived simultaneously. Our preference of the two, and one of our favorite dishes of the night, was the Tuna Carpaccio for $31, with pork belly, tonnato, and tomato ponzu. The very thick pieces of tuna were meaty and went surprisingly well with the fatty pieces of pork on the bottom. There was also a mildly creamy citrus sauce that helped balance the dish. This was excellent. Also good was the $29 Spanish Mackerel. This came with blood orange, chicory, and toasted walnut, with the blood orange both in slices and also used as a lightly sour sauce on the bottom. The dish came with 5 large pieces of mackerel, which were not nearly as fishy as I expected, and I would recommend it as a lighter appetizer. Next were two of the main dishes. First was their signature dish, a Pot Pie for $43, with lobster, Kurobuta sausage, and clam. The crust on the outside was very flaky and buttery. Then inside was a filling with plenty of sausage, some clams, and a bit of lobster. I wish there were a bit more lobster for the price, but the pie's flavor was excellent, with some mild spices. There was also the $25 Fish Fillet, listed as their take on a filet-o-fish. Description aside, this consisted of fried skate, Comte cheese, and white kimchi. The piece of skate was very large, dwarfing the bread, and had a nice, thin crust with plenty of tender fish inside. I have never been the biggest fan of Comte, but it worked well enough here. The bit of crunch from the kimchi was nice, but I wish the pickle were a bit stronger, as it was a bit rich. If you want a filling and reasonably priced main, I would recommend this one. The last of the savory dishes was the Branzino for $69 with crab fat chermoula, roti, and perilla. The fish was presented butterflied, with the bones removed, outside the head and tail, of course. There were a bunch of greens on top, including the aforementioned perilla and some watermelon radish. This came with four gigantic pieces of buttery roti. While the fish was cooked wonderfully, I found the chermoula to be not nearly as sour as usual, so the dish became a bit rich. It was still tasty, but I would recommend that at least three people share it. We ended with two orders of their only current dessert, which is the same as on the tasting menu. This was the Sticky Date Cake for $23 with mascarpone gelato and toffee. Aside from the description, I believe the toffee sauce also contained Mr. Black coffee liquor. Anyway, this arrived with two large portions, which makes more sense based on the price. The cake was moist and not overly sweet, with a texture similar to a bundt cake but with a slightly crisper exterior. This was excellent, and it paired nicely with the ice cream. Not many complaints here, aside from maybe the prices of certain dishes. I'll be back soon enough for their tasting menu before it becomes prohibitively expensive. Would recommend heavily before there is too much buzz, and it will be deservedly difficult to get into.

The tasting menu counter experience at Boro Brine is fantastic! Reminscent of the early days of Brooklyn Fare before they had a michelin star and got ridiculously fancy and expensive. I want to come back and try some of the a la carte dishes, because the filet-o-fish and the lobster chowder pie look amazing. I wish there were mini versions of them in the tasting menu!

Every course was so good that I kept thinking "okay this is my favorite"... and then the next one came out. This new seafood-centric bar totally blew me away...I can even say this is the most memorable dining experience I've had in NYC so far. I chose their $98 7-course seafood centric tasting menu curated by Chef Mark Nobello, who explains each dish as it's served. A lot of the ideas come from his times at several filipino, korean and japanese restaurants. All the meat and seafood are dry-aged (ranging from 2 to 45 days), which adds so much umami. Watching the dishes all come to life at the chef's counter was UNREAL!! The service was very welcoming and attentive. The whole dinner was well paced and took a little bit over two hours. 1. Wagyu was 45-day dry-aged and the presentation alone put me in awe, while the flavor was rich but still really elegant. 2. Amberjack was served in a monaka shell with seaweed rice and black truffle, the amberjack was meaty and fresh. 3. Hokkaido Scallop was a filipino-inspired appetizer. The scallop was delicately wrapped in cucumber and topped with ikura. Super clean, light, and elegant. 4. Kinmedai was buttery, tender fillet with crispy golden skin and the creamy sauce mixed with busan crab was heavenly. 5. Dry aged duck was cooked perfectly and served with three sauces. I tried them all in one bite: the eel sauce got a bit salty after a few bites, but the cauliflower puree and quince jam balanced it out nicely. 6. Sticky Date Cake was super moist and sweet, and the mascarpone gelato helped cut through the toffee richness. Very indulgent, very dangerous. 7. Black tea ginger granita with lychee sorbet was a palate cleanser after all that sweetness. Light, refreshing, and exactly what I needed at the end after a rich dessert.

10/10 would absolutely recommend! What is there not to love about Boro Brine?? Went there to celebrate a bday and Boro Brine didn't disappoint. Located in Williamsburg, it was fairly easy to get to and had a chill vibe. When we walked in, we were immediately greeted by the hostess with a smile. She had us confirm if we had any food allergies and then walked us to our seat. We lucked out and were able to sit in the back where its an open concept and you get to see the chefs cooking/making our plates. Our waiter was so pleasant and helpful as we decided which dishes to order. I wanted to attend on the date of the tasting plates but thats only Thurs-Sun. The energy in the restaurant was so upbeat and vibey.. Definitely a place to go on a date.. We ordered several dishes: the Focaccia, Tuna Carpaccio, Wagyu Tartare, Pot pie and Branzino. Everything was so delicious! The Focaccia was so buttery and fresh and with the spread, amazing. The Tuna Carpaccio was fatty and melted in your mouth and paired with pork belly. The Wagyu hit ever note.. The flavor, the texture, the combination! The Pot pie had lobster, clams and sausage.. Can't explain how delicious that was. And the Branzino was so flakey, fresh and seasoned well, paired with a roti. Because it was a bday celebration, they brought us a Lychee sorbet that was the best sorbet i've ever had in my life. In addition to that we ordered a donut that was paired with Ginger ice cream.. Lets just say, i loved that too! I would go back to Boro brine over and over again.

Note: This review is actually for my early Nov 2025 dinner at Boro Brine, but they didn't have a Yelp listing back then. ............................................................................................................................ I'm generally an optimistic, glass-half-full, kind of reviewer. Four stars are easy to earn with me. But I'm also a raging perfectionist, so five stars are much rarer. In fact, I can usually count on one hand the number of restaurants that get a full five stars from me in any given year. And if you think that's a feat, imagine being the brain agonizing over those stars. It's painful! Boro Brine is--quite possible--the easiest five-star decision I've ever made. There was no agony here. Just an easy, straightforward, utterly perfect experience--from the pitch perfect service, to the darkly romantic ambience, to the utterly delicious food. We got: - King Salmon with apple lovage, chili cheong, anise hyssop: I love me some fatty Canadian King Salmon (hometown holla!), and I love even more when chefs DON'T rely on citrus to crudo it up. The combo of apple and chili was a gorgeous flavor that made my tongue think naughty thoughts. - Tuna Carpaccio with pork belly, tonnato, chutoro: Similarly with this carpaccio--another welcome break from zesty citrus. I don't think I've ever had a crudo/carpaccio that was paired with cooked meat underneath....but it works! And now I must demand that paper-thin, perfectly seared pork belly play bottom to all finely cut fish. - Pot Pie with lobster, kurobuta sausages, fine herbs: Arguably Boro's most popular dish and certainly its most photographed. The puff pastry (which they make in-house) was perfectly laminated, and the marriage of sausages with lobster was one that should grace bridal magazine covers. But I do have to complain that there wasn't enough lobster. For $41, they definitely could've given more. - Steamers: Probably overlooked or rejected because of the "smoked eel broth" listed in its ingredients--THIS is the dish you shouldn't sleep on. With its rich yet light broth, perfectly crisp duck confit (yes, duck confit in a mollusk stew) and giant butter beans, this dish is winter comfort personified. I would brave any snowstorm if it meant I could go home to a cauldron of this stew. Le yum! We treated ourselves to dessert too (which they also make in-house). In this case, that meant a perfectly fried and sugared donut filled with fresh persimmon jam accompanied by a dish of house-made ginger ice-cream. Simple, delectably autumn flavors. Le deuxieme yum! Oh, we also sipped the spring-like Grovey and the lovely Special Herbs, the latter of which carries a hint of one of my favorite herbs, hoja santa. Mmmmm, holy mintiness.... Anyway, come to Boro Brine before the dreaded sheep--I mean, influencers--expose it to the masses and getting a table becomes impossible.

Visited this latest shrine to seafood during that week between Christmas and New Year's where you lose your sense of time, and had the restaurant completely to ourselves. I think that likely safeguarded us against some of the snafus that other reviewers have experienced with delayed seating times and too much time to wait between dishes. We had the full attention of our server and chef, as we sat at the chef's table. Our group of 4 tried a whole lot of the menu, but some standouts include the lobster pot pie and branzino. The branzino had so much flavor, was stuffed with a shrimp cake, and was very filling as it was served with a side of roti. The herbs on top cut through some of the richness and added a nice freshness to the dish, so don't skip it. The lobster pot pie was a bit difficult to share between four people but I loved this seafood take on a traditional pot pie. All the greens on top also added a vegetal freshness to an otherwise heavy dish. The filet o fish I found okay but a bit forgettable, and the sardines that came with the focaccia were too of the sea for me, and I followed a pescatarian diet for fourteen years. still, sardines can be quite fishy and is somewhat of an acquired taste. The amberjack and tuna crudos were great, fresh and full of flavor. I encounter this at a lot of restaurants where you're meant to share all the small plates with a group but my main piece of feedback is that aside from the branzino, a majority of the dishes had such awkward portions that it made it difficult to share among four people. They graciously cut the filet o fish and lobster pot pie into fours when we asked, but it still only allowed us each a little bite, which feels hardly worth it for the prices they're charging. Still, I'm glad I went because I do love seafood.

I've never heard of this place but my husband had it bookmarked. We were in the area and didn't have reservations. We got lucky and the host was able to sit us at the bar. The menu is small but has some interesting items. We decided on the foccacia with strachiatella, confiture garlic and anchovies, tuna carpaccio with pork belly, yellowtail crude, fish sandwich and steamers (only because the lobster pot pie was sold out). Everything but the steamers were delicious. We found the steamers too salty, which is shame because everything else was so great. We were shocked at how good the fish sandwich was. I also enjoyed the pork belly with the tuna. Save room for the sticky toffee cake for dessert. We also enjoyed the cocktails and wine. I need to come back for the tomato-tini that everyone was ordering. Service was also attentive and friendly. They've only been open for 3 months, so I can't wait to see how they grow in the future. We'll definitely be back for the tasting menu.

So I emailed Boro Brine in a bit of a panic the day before my friend's birthday to book a table of 6. Erica called me within 30 minutes to book me in and was so helpful the entire time! So grateful to her and the team for accommodating our large party on such short-notice. Every dish was amazing - we ordered every one of the appetizers and small dishes and literally have 0 notes on any of them. Loved the drinks and the various types of martini too. Ambiance is perfect for a date night. The chefs area had tons of couples!

Had a lovely dinner here on a snowy Sunday evening. My favorite dishes were the fish fillet sandwich and the pot pie. The fish fillet sandwich was the most flavorful dish we had that evening. The sourness of the kimchi really went well with the creamy tar tar sauce. The pot pie was just such a comforting dish, and the crust was super flaky. It came out piping hot! I would pass on the tuna carpaccio (also didn't need to add the caviar) next time, and would maybe get the focaccia again (the sauce is good) We tried both the donut with persimmon filling w/cinnamon ice cream and the toffee cake w/vanilla ice cream for dessert. Definitely liked the toffee cake more! It was super moist (but also pricey at $21!) Service was friendly and attentive. Theres a front space where there are some tables and then in the back there is omakase style seating. There's also one restroom further in the back.

What a delicious seafood meal! I didn't realize the pre-fixe tasting menu was only offered on certain days of the week but I was glad to have tried a bunch of things from their a la carte. For a party of 2, they recommended 4-5 dishes. Started off with the amberjack which was very fresh and paired nicely with their mushroom dashi and a hint of sweetness from persimmons. For the middle plates, I was really impressed with the fish fillet! The skate fish was fried thoroughly and retained the tenderness/juiciness of the fish meat. The cheese and kimchi added nice flavors, and the buttered bun was soft and chewy. The steamers featured large clams with an addicting buttery and savory sauce that I wish I had some bread to soak it up with. I liked the addition of confit duck because it added some texture and another type of umami to the mix. The pot pie was also very solid. While my partner felt like it was slightly too salty, I felt like it was well seasoned. I personally would have liked a little bit more pepper but I also loved how the Japanese sausage conferred a bit of sweetness that balanced out the lobster and the crisp. We also tried their dry aged branzino that came with a good amount of crab fat curry. The mix of roti, perilla leaves, other herbs, curry, and fish was very tasty. While the crab fat flavors weren't as prominent imo, I liked how bold the curry was. Our roti unfortunately wasn't as crispy/toasty as some of the others. Do not skip dessert! The sticky date cake with marscapone ice cream was delicious!! The marscapone ice cream itself was very creamy and cheesy, which complemented the warm cake doused with a toffee sauce. For drinks: the amethyst veil was a solid highball that featured strong elderflower and floral flavors, with a prominent bitterness from the elderflower. The twilight dawn was my favorite because of its appropriately sweet peach and orange profile. Staff were nice and friendly! Pacing of food was fine. The kitchen concept is quite interesting. It almost feels like omakase with an open kitchen for the raw dishes and sweets, and then an area to the side/back for all the other hot dishes. Intimate vibes but not too fancy or upscale. I enjoyed every dish and look forward to coming back!

Such an amazing tasting experience, the service here is fantastic and the food is so so good. The chef allowed us to add the fish fillet to the tasting which made the experience that much better!

The atmosphere was lively and full; the place was packed, but it still felt organized rather than chaotic. The bar looked well stocked, and the overall ambience worked well for a pre-train, Times Square-adjacent stop. Food was solid, with a few standouts. The salmon tartare with sesame crackers was excellent; clean, fresh, and well balanced. Jeanine recommended the shrimp avocado sliders, and that was the right call; they were outstanding. Happy hour oysters were fresh and well balanced. Littleneck clams were good, though slightly less compelling than the oysters. The fish tacos were good but not particularly memorable. Fried calamari was well executed, though the accompanying sauce could have used a little more flavor. The hot sauce, assuming it is made in house, was excellent and added a much better punch to the seafood. Drinks from the happy hour menu, including the Pink Flamingo and margarita, were good and consistent. I would come back to try more from the main menu. All guests at the table have to order either buffet or Prix Fix menu. My order of Rockefeller oysters, and clams were simply the best I ever tasted. The way they were prepared is the only way I want to taste them. The next dishes they brought out were fried shrimp, sizzling shrimp scampi. Soft shell crab was cooked to perfection. My garlic butter Nova Scotia Lobster was divine. Cooked, and served to perfection! Next the sizzling sea bass was brought to the table! O-M-G! Within a second after arriving to our table still sizzling. Jose came to personally debone the fish (never had that done before) and he added the Thai chili sauce. At this point, my body was in a foodie coma! After a brief clean up of our table. I left our dining room, and went to the ladies room. When you walk in the ladies room, between the floral scent, and decor you are in awe of the details, the bathroom was dreamy. Back at the table our two servers set up a Picasso style dessert with hand drawn chocolate with the ice cream and a delicious cheesecake. Thank you for the birthday wishes, and celebration for my friend. José out did his self with his talented art skills. Special thanks to the Manager Sam for stopping by every table to see if everything was to our satisfaction. It was beyond our satisfaction. Tip: Make reservations even if your a party of two. Be sure all guests arrive at the same time. Tip#2: The upstairs level is perfect for large gatherings, corporate events, holiday events, bridal, baby showers, bar/bat mitvah's, and industry events.

I had an amazing experience at Crab House Times Square! Honestly the most luxurious AYCE dining…read moreexperience I've ever had. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance is beautiful. LOVE the rococo inspiration. The opulent decor made me feel like I'm dining in a palace. Most of the tables are set up in private rooms too so you can have your own space for your feast. The all-you-can-eat menu is made fresh to order, not sitting out like a typical buffet, which makes a huge difference in quality. I loved the seafood selection: lobster, crab, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, octopus, fish, calamari ... you name it. What really stood out to me was how much variety there is. Even the steak, fried rice, noodles, lamb, and veggies were delicious. The service was super attentive and quick with bringing out dishes. The price is definitely a splurge, but worth it for the experience and high qualit. It's not just a meal, it's a whole vibe. I would absolutely come back and recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable, over-the-top dining experience in Times Square!
