I needed a roof leak repaired and maintenance done on my roof (fix broken tiles and seal roof exhaust pipes). I contacted Born 2 Roof and spoke to Cruz. Cruz was friendly and sounded professional. We made arrangements for Cruz to respond to my residence and give me an estimate. Cruz arrived on time, provided me with some of his business marketing materials, and gave me the estimate. Cruz indicated he would check his calendar and call me to schedule the work. He never called back. Ten days later, I sent a text message to Cruz to check in and see when the work could be scheduled. I did not receive a response. Since Cruz was professional on the day of the estimate, I had a telephone conversation with him. He apologized for the delay and for not calling me back. He then claimed he would check his work schedule and call me back. Needless to say, he never called back. I was hoping Born 2 Roof would be a great company, but sadly it was not for me and completely wasted my time. I guess the job was too small and not worth their time. Regarding the Business Owner's comment, clearly we did not have a signed contract because he never called back. We started the estimate process in early December, and now it's February. I reached out to Cruz from Born 2 Roof after finding his business on Yelp. I called him on a Friday morning because we needed a roof inspection the following Monday, on the Martin Luther King Jr. Holiday. I explained to Cruz that we were in escrow for a house, but didn't feel too good about the roof based on what the general inspection found. I called a few other roof inspection businesses, some were closed on Monday due to the holiday and some never got back to us. Despite some logistical issues (Cruz was was available to go first thing in the morning, but the sellers weren't available until later) Cruz made it work. He showed up and spent more time than he originally told us. He inspected the exterior, went inside the attic, took tons of pictures. His report was very thorough. His report indicated how severely damaged the roof was and that it needed to be replaced as soon as possible. Thanks to Cruz, we decided to walk away from a house that was going to need way more work than we originally expected.
