The staff were quick, efficient, and very accommodating with requests. They offer a variety of decent quality options for breakfast. In addition to the typical breakfast food, they also serve dishes that are usually found at lunch and dinner, such as roast beef, prime rib, steaks, pizza, salads, Chinese cuisine, and seafood. Been going to this buffet since the place opened. Breakfast/brunch is terrific. Dinner? Not so much.... Love the fried shrimp and fried chicken. Carved prime rib is great. Sides, not so much. The salad bar is very good and the cocktail and seasoned shrimp are nice. Mussels are good, clams are hit or miss. A few things are a definite no....they typically offer grilled meat. Grilled steak is a standard. Yesterday grilled boneless pork chops too. I don't know if it's the quality of cuts or the manner of preparation but they are absolute shoe leather. It''s really a shame. Try the following experiment. Pick up a piece with the available tongs and try to shake it back and forth. They barely move - stiff as a board. You see them and say hey! But just about every time I've tried them, the chewing just never stops. As noted elsewhere, the Chinese side of the buffet is really not very good. It's inauthentic, more like that old canned stuff from La Choy than from what you've experienced from even a middling takeout joint. Do it right or not at all. Their dessert bar has really dropped off. It's kind of stale in its regular offerings - the bread pudding is absolute slop and never varies. Maybe try making it with some chocolate and stiffen the consistency up a bit So it's not like soup. Jazz up the gelato station - change up the flavors, offer some toppings - stop with the chintziness of it being the only station that is manned so you can only get a small single scoop in the only available one scoop paper (paper!!!!) cup. But what really got me was the reduction in the dessert bar selection. Clearly, they've stepped down the variety of offerings for the worse, and less expensive. Less cakes and brownies - the middle top shelf was completely covered in cheap cinnamon swirl pound cake. Lots of cheap little cupcakes of a quality that you'd make at home out of a cake mix box. Very few fruit pastries, no chocolate ones. Nrienies? Nope, Not much in the way of the nicer small varied layered offerings cut into squares - a few, and much fewer then in the past. What happened to your macaroons? Walked away saying that the buffet seems to be in decline quality wise and offering wise it's pretty much never changing and boring. My wife looked at me and said you know what the best part of the Buffet was tonight? We used our points so it was free. Borgata....its time to freshen things up and get the quality and variety up to where it used to be. You are charging $43 a head which should pay for better and more varied offerings and have long been the most profitable casino resort in AC. You can do this if you really want to. A must try buffet spot! We came here for brunch and was not disappointed. They have so many different types of breakfast & lunch foods, perfectly organized. There's simple breakfasts like bagels, French toast, salad on one side. The all American potatoes and meat breakfast in another section. Lunch and dessert in its own section as well. We were also shocked at how delicious all of the food was, especially for a buffet. The French toast was my favorite breakfast - not too sweet, fluffy with a slight crisp. Don't come late to Brunch at the Borgota AYCE Buffet. The later you arrive, the longer the line ... at least on a Sunday during March Madness. We showed up just before Noon, and still waited 20+ minutes on an amusement park style line, just outside the sprawling restaurant. However, we came for the gluttony; not for the ambiance. To set the scene, we are mostly outsized, serious & very experienced eaters. Opting mostly for protein, naturally I started with the carving station, where I arrived just in time to request a freshly sliced end cut. Making the rounds, I quickly added a helping of Chorizo Hash, a few Long Hot Peppers, a single fat breakfast sausage, a spoonful of street corn, topping it all off with a single Egg Benedict, and a breakfast biscuit without the accompanying sausage gravy. After slowly cleaning my overflowing dinner plate, I barely had room for dessert. The best I could manage was 3+ scoops of assorted Gelato, which was a tad disappointing, flavor & texture wise, following a recent trip to Italy. read more

Great buffet in AC. So far the best one we've had. We've been both for breakfast and dinner. So many options, different variety. Obviously lee in mind it's all carb loaded, high in salt buffet food but it's darn good so, beware for those with hypertension and diabetes. We will definitely be back, especially if it's a complimentary buffet. Absolutely worth it. Even if it were full price, the food is worth it. Definitely better than golden nugget's buffet. The variety and caliber of the food at Borgota Buffet make it a hidden gem in Atlantic City. The main drawback is that there are lengthy lineups to enter and to find a table. The floor plan enables serving a large number of people, and the spotless environment from the buffet to the ground makes you feel at home. We traveled there in a group of nine. Although we requested a table, the floor manager wanted to divide us into two booths. She said that the table-filled section is not in use. My temporary disability and broken tail bone are the causes of my request for a table. The donut cushion was also in my possession. I will find it really tough to move that, and I don't want to leave the group on my own. Stephanie Hamilton acted at that time and opened a table for ten people. She was a wonderful employee who made us feel welcome. Her friendly demeanor and excellent service were added bonuses. She showed appreciation for each client with a kind action. read more

I started off with getting eggs. There was a fresh egg station. I ordered scrambled eggs with onions and mushrooms. The eggs were a 3/5 . They were a lil runny in some areas but overall good. The standouts for me were: egg station, Brussels sprouts, lox and fixings, pasta, and the French toast was really good. Chorizo hash was tasty as well. They also had: chocolate pancakes, waffles, fried rice, fresh salads, pizza, and fresh fruit which I did not partake in. There was a variety of foods to please many a palate. They had multiple desserts. I had Panna cotta. I did not like it , it was very sweet. However the cheesecake was divine. To end the meal I had a passion fruit sorbet as a palate cleanser. Waited one hour to get into the buffet this past Thanksgiving day & it was so disappointing! Been coming to AC for over 30 years & have never complained about any of the buffets before especially Harrahs which was always great. Went to the Borgata buffet a year ago & we thought the food was quite good especially the fried chicken but that wasn't the case last week on the holiday. Most of the food looked almost burnt & overdone. Couldn't wait to have the prime rib which was terrible & even their fried chicken was strange that day. Turkey was just ok but sliced so thick, stuffing was like dried bread...thankfully there was gravy! Only dish I could say was quite good was the mashed candied sweet potatoes. One of my sons (30 yrs old) who is not a picky eater at all took a few bites & couldn't eat anymore. Waste of money but mostly sad because we waited all day for Thanksgiving dinner! A little bit of everything please! It's all about indulgence and all you can eat at this place. Fresh food the whole time. As buffets go, this one is pretty damn good. If you go for lunch, you have prime rib included. If you go for breakfast, you have prime rib include plus an omelette station. It's really not a good buffet, especially for Borgata standards and the price. Came here for dinner and for brunch just based on convenience, but it's essentially similar to a golden corral. Dinner had a variety of options. The prime rib from the carving station was tough, the Chinese food seemed like they were frozen entrees, and everything else I tried was mediocre at best. Dessert options were probably the best but even there the gelato was not good and the tiramisu was essentially some kind of whipped dessert. Brunch was not much better....mostly an assortment of overly greasy breakfast foods, fake eggs, and...leftover Chinese food from the previous night. 1st I want to comment that this buffet is the best in AC. Unfortunately, I was treated as a shoplifter! I was walked to the table by the host and took she took my reciept with her after escorting me to mine. 10 minutes later, she came to my table and she asked me if I payed. Calmly, I said yes I did. She said the reciept for the table isnt there. I then said I dont know what you did with it? She left and came back while I was eating and asked for my purchase reciept. I remained professional but embarrased at the same time. People began to look my way. She interupted my conversion while attempting to retrieve my reciept. She returned and apologized but was very insincere about it. Afterwards, I went to Borgata customer service area and I told them what happened. I even got someone who witness me pay for the entrance to vouch for me. Customer service apologized and applied a food voucher unto my card. I checked immediately and the voucher wasnt there. I asked the lady and customer service about it and she stated to give a few hours. The next day I called Borgatas customer service and they stated there was a food voucher nor any notes on that matter. Other than the good food, the experience overall was horrendous and really embarassing!!!! They made me feel as if I was a shoplifter and I felt discriminated against!!! So we were staying at Borgata and being platinum with MGM got a good price and could skip the line which was nice over a holiday weekend. The buffet itself was clean. The servers were all helpful. Seemed like there were plenty of staff working. They had a nice selection of different types of foods. We tried a little bit of everything and thought it was all pretty good. Nothing really outstanding but good for a buffet. I'm not so sure I would have rated it a 5 if I had paid full price and had to wait in line however. But, For a discount or even if it wasn't too crowded I'd give it a shot. read more
