The move itself went great. the two gentleman were great, they did my fiance's shortly before. however the billing?!....bait and switch. such b.s. My fiance moved 3 weeks prior to me. She had two full bedroom sets, and a full living room (two sofas) and about 10 - 12 boxes. and two tvs. two guys did the entire move in 4.5 hours, they charged her a total of $789 with additional charges included (fuel surcharge $30). She moved 14 miles from between the two locations. My move entirely different. 1 bedroom set, 1 couch, two end tables and several boxes. and computer monitors (not boxed). my move was under 4 miles....they charged me $955 (fuel charge $45). They arrived at 8am and completed the moved and pulled away at 11am. Total job completed in 3 hours. I called and complained. They came up with all sorts of answers....they are based in moonachie and were closer to my fiance's apt. Really?! i was told i was paying for my property to be moved, not the distance from their facility (which is 20 mins from Waldwick, NJ. Secondly, the person on the phone said i can't compare them to Ridgewood movers (who did my job last year for under $600; all the same furniture plus tv's and paintings) as they are bigger then them and they are just a small company (mind you they've been in business for over 70 years and over 40k moves recorded (on their website). seriously?! how does that compute....my job was smaller in size and less time consuming....and my job was more expensive?! Give me a break....I will never again use booth movers nor will i recommend them to ANYONE. Highway robbery at its finest!!! read more

Booth movers are great! Sam and Walter helped my sister move yesterday and they were very efficient! Very polite, friendly and showed respect! Thank you guys read more

I was skeptical about using a moving company because of all the horror stories people have, such as overpriced items and broken items. However, these people were impeccable in this process. The process was flawless from the beginning to the end. The crew did more than my original quote. I only quoted 10 items (furniture) and no boxes. But at the end of the day, they carry boxes, toys, clothes, etc at no additional cost, and under the minimum duration of 6 hours. BTW, they take everything apart (without any guidance) and put it back together in the designated location. There's probably a magic wand hidden somewhere. read more

This was the 4th time in 30 years this mover handled our move- so good that I just always use them, professional reliable and knowledgeable. Emish and his crew took my 5 Bedroom 3 floor home in 2 stages, we moved our outside/pool furniture, garage and basement contents, it took almost 2 trucks! Then the next week they packed the house, which went into storage for almost 3 months. I can honestly say the guy did a great job! read more

We've used Booth for four separate moves, and we're so happy to have found them years ago. Being a repeat customer says it all...each move, and particularly our most recent, has gone so well, especially from the moment Edwin opened the truck door. We were REALLY happy to see him as the crew chief, as he's done a wonderful job two previous times we've had the pleasure of working with him. His crew was awesome, and they were all so careful with our stuff, very efficient, and super friendly. From the outset, when getting pricing information to communicating the details of arrival, Booth is top-notch and always clear about cost/price details and they're honest and care about the customer. I would highly recommend Booth for what is always a chaotic time, to help alleviate as much stress as possible. read more

Second time I've used this company. They are always dependable, extremely respectful, and careful with my belongings. I could not recommend this company enough. Great communication from start to finish. Everyone in the offices I spoke to and communicated with via email we're outstanding. I moved from Northern New Jersey to Greensboro, NC with Booth Movers last week and am extremely pleased. The salesman George D'Andrea made the process easy for me and explained the process. He answer all the questions I had. Edwin and his moving team were pleasant and professional. They handled all my items with care, were on time and very efficient. Moving is very difficult but Booth Movers helped make it go smoothly! read more

We booked a move with Booth for late April, two weeks before the move, during prime moving season. A person answered when I called, took down my info, and I got a follow up call to schedule an estimate later that day. From the moment we called to the day the movers unloaded the last item from their truck, everything just went so smoothly. The movers who helped us that day were Harvey, Josbin and Jorge. They were friendly, helpful, and super efficient. From start to finish, they were courteous, professional, and overall, just nice guys. I've moved a lot in my young adult years, and never have I had such a worry-free move. We heartily recommend Booth, and if you're lucky, you might get to work with Harvey, Josbin & Jorge. read more

Professional & courteous service from first inquiry until the last piece of furniture was put into place. Ricky, Oscar & Vaughn were professional, organized and very personable. They made the process so much easier for me. Also kudos to Doug who gave me the estimate & answered all of my questions. Every Booth employee who answered the phone was pleasant and eager to answer my questions. Thank you so much. I will definitely refer you to my friends and colleagues! read more

This was my second time moving with Booth movers as a REALTOR I cant say enough about how great they were. This time I had Lenny & Oscar and they were just as wonderful as the guys I had the first time around and knew exactly how to put my daybed back together. Dana in the office is also very helpful & pleasant. I will always recommend them to m y clients! read more

I utilized Booth for my long distance move. They provided me a clear estimate. All other companies I contacted had me "guess" on the number of boxes etc I needed. Booth actually came to my home to see exactly what I had. This allowed them to give me a 100% accurate quote. I was afraid of hidden costs but Booth was upfront and laid it all out for me. Their movers were on time and allowed me to move stress free. read more

Booth Movers did a fantastic job on my move (July 18, 2020). They did the original estimate by facetime (due to Covid) which went really well. The quote was accurate, they were in touch with me the week of the move (I never had to reach out to them to confirm anything, they were always on it), the guys showed up on time and were professional. The move went well without any issues (moving can be so stressful, but they put my mind at ease from the beginning). read more

Booth Movers ! Moving from apartment to apartment, in NYC coop environs, with busy elevators, long corridors, curbs and steps, was only possible with the great help and GREAT attitudes of WILL, VAUGHAN, JOSE and DANIEL of Booth Movers. Edwin, Anthony and the rest of our Booth crew moved two baby grand pianos and the rest of our furniture and lots of other stuff. They were polite, respectful, efficient, strong and skilled. They did not complain at all even when we asked to rearrange a few things near the end of the day. This was the best moving experience I've had. Moving day is always a tough day but Booth made it a very good day. I have nothing but great things to say about this experience, the quality of the work and the very nice people who made the day go so well. Thanks!!! HE read more

We moved over a year ago, and after 15 emails to Doug, have not gotten any resolution to the problem. Booth Movers displayed a total lack of communication, professionalism and safety. We moved during the pre-vaccine height of the pandemic. Booth sent us their COVID-19 protocol but did not follow it We repeatedly had to ask movers to put masks on during the stressful move. Booth lost our mattress then came back with two small, dirty mattresses and asked us which was ours. We said neither and they tried to convince us that we were wrong and one was our mattress. After we slept on the couch the night of our move, they delivered our nearly new mattress which was now dirty and stained. Although they misplaced shelves from a cabinet (similar to the mattress) they told us to look harder as if it were our fault. The shelves were delivered a few days later without an apology. Booth lost the key to our storage unit whose contents they were to deliver. They dropped and threw boxes of our belongings such that the plastic containers broke and their contents spilled across the driveway. Booth delivered a move that was neither safe nor competent. Do not hire Booth Movers! read more

don't use these movers!! their crew rifled through my drrsser & wardrobe boxes stealing most of my high end designer clothing during move!! they refuse to accept responsibly or confirm the theft by denying me from watching their camera footage to prove i was robbed of $200k worth of collectible designer and i amassed over a career in the luxury fashion industry. further proof, i overheard a customer call that a woman was missing her bbq from a recent movie, and the coarse response from the crew lead was to finish unpacking..but no one packs a bbq. these people are dishonest corrupt thieves!! and atop everything else, they over billed me and refuses to refund me. their loss claim process is a joke.. their insurance agent isn't responding to my inquiries about my reimbursement for my precious belongings. avoid this business..they are beyond crooked, greedy, corrupt company read more

My experience with Booth Mover was amazing. The crew was very professional and on time with the project. It was a quite a big move of an office that took 2 and the half days. Of course there was a hiccup as all human nature, but the crew and the owner Adam took a great care of us along the way and helped us find the best resolution at the time. I will recommend this company to anyone in this area without a hesitation. read more

I recently used Booth Movers to help me move from Midtown NYC to Northern NJ. POSITIVES: George (who came out to my apartment and put together a quote) was fantastic. He was kind, timely, and thorough. His quote ended up being eerily accurate as well, which was something I appreciated. Christine was also great - she answered all of my questions and was genuinely pleasant. As far as the actual moving process, my movers were also kind and pleasant. NEGATIVES: personally, I felt that the movers took a long time to load things in the truck. I will note that my service elevator was frequently used that day, and I DID have a lot of stuff, but I was told by my porter that the movers were just hanging by the truck after each load. Regardless, that's understandable and fine if breaks were needed. What I felt more concerned about was that the movers left the truck door hanging open (yes, with all my stuff in it) while they were upstairs. I was told by George initially that one person would always be in the car to make sure my things were safe. Sadly, this wasn't the case. The last negative is that unfortunately, my movers left an entire closet full of clothes behind. When I got home after my move completed, I was shocked to discover that my clothes were still hanging there. So, after spending additional $$ to rent a car and move my clothes/hangers to NJ today, I'm a little irritated. Not sure if I'd use them again. read more

DO NOT GO WITH THIS COMPANY. They lost skis, shower gifts/wedding gifts, etc. and the manager/owner told me that I should be thankful what was lost was not a heirloom and the items were at least replaceable. AND I was not reimbursed AND they never went back through their records and contacted the other movers that were packed in with ours to see if they got our items...what kind of company does that??? If they at least contacted the other people we may have our stuff right now. Terrible terrible company and business. If you don't want items lost, do not got with them. read more

From the very first email requesting a quote, to the delivery guys unloading in my new apartment, the entire process was an A+. Being this was my first long distance/interstate move (NJ to SC), I had a million questions and concerns. They were informative and helpful every step of the way. Pricing was reasonable. The two guys arrived on time to pick up my stuff and from the moment they pulled into my parking lot, and left, was a total of two hours. Delivery down to SC only took three days (granted I moved end of January which is the slower season, but still!) Unloading took a little over an hour. They have it down to a science, they are so organized. Nothing was broken or missing upon delivery. I am a happy customer and would highly recommend Booth! read more

Booth Movers were professional and reliable. I used them to pack and unpack an entire house. It was efficient and the movers were extremely hard workers. Will was my contact on the job and was a true professional. Reasonable money also. I highly recommend. read more

THIEVES: This started poorly and ended poorly. I chose this company based off the good reviews and was sorely disappointed. I spoke with George and told him a day I wanted to move, after confirming with him weeks before he said it was all booked a few days prior to my move so I had tor reschedule my flight a day earlier. Three men showed up who were supposed to have more than enough boxes, at the end they were too few and I had to go to home depot to pick up three more. The guy packing the glassware on the stove leaned against the pilot light and started a small fire which he put out in my sink and left for me to clean up. No damage to the apartment but still, thanks for leaving burnt packing paper in my sink..... I sent a few emails about the status of my shipment and was promised updates that I didn't receive until my wife had to personally call from a different number. Some of my items that they helped pack at the end of the day were my TV, PlayStation, Wii among other items. They also packed a bag containing my sunglasses, watches, and pocket knives........ This was February 24th, my belongings arrived yesterday March 11 (A long wait). Most of the bags have been opened as they were savvy enough to leave all bags I had stored in boxes unzipped and opened. The PlayStation was removed from its original packing, the associated games are missing from the PlayStation and Wii as well as my watches, and knives. They left plugs in the TV that are now broken inside that will have to be replaced. They broke my wife's jewelry nightstand and her portable steamer. We are missing a shelf to our bookcase. I have yet to go through everything else so I am sure the list will grow. I am filing claims with the company as well as the BBB and will see how this is handled and follow up. TLDR: They stole and broke my belongings and it took a long time. It probably takes a while to go through all your bags to find what they want. read more

We have moved 5 times in the last seven years. Most were long distance, with some of the biggest and best known movers in the US. We thought we had some of the best service before giving Booth a try. BOY, we were we wrong! Had a walk through to determine pricing, etc. The agent was amazing and really worked with us to keep us calm, focused and reassured that Booth was the right choice for our move. Got a confirmation call 3 days prior to our move that everything was set. Day of the move, the movers got there right on time. Two trucks. Six guys with Tommy at the helm. The move out went so quickly and flawlessly that it was as though they hooked up a huge vacuum to the back and front doors and just sucked everything out. We had a TON of stuff and it was wrapped and packed into the trucks in three hours flat. Move in was not going to be an easy job and we fully expected that we may have to lose some of our large pieces of furniture because the house was old and really small and not built for large dressers, beds, etc. But before we knew it, the dresser was hand (no straps) hoisted up to the second floor and through a window to the upstairs bedroom where it now resides. Not a scratch. Windows and doors all reinstalled perfectly. As a matter of fact, not a scratch on anything! Nothing broken and out fine art pieces were perfectly crated and moved with the utmost care. Once the move was complete, Tommy noticed that our cars will still packed with stuff and even offered to unpack our cars. I didn't have the heart to let them because of how hard they'd worked all day to get us settled. All in all this was the single best move of our lives. The guys were so upbeat it made what is normally a stressful, trying experience a day filled with lots of laughter. I cannot recommend Booth strongly enough. If I ever need to move again, I would pay extra just to have them do the move. You can't go wrong with Booth. They are unequivocally the BEST movers EVER! THANK YOU Booth!!!!! read more

Booth Movers - Moving day!!!! - Movers Near Me - Moonachie, New Jersey

Reliable, on-time, and on budget best describe Booth. They sent a seasoned team of movers earlier than expected which allowed for better use of daylight time. Both Jose and Will with over 30 years combined experience worked quickly and carefully to move my belongings on time. The estimate was spot on. I would use them a third time if the opportunity arose. read more

The move wasn't bad but they broke my basketball hoop. I Reached out and they were going to send an insurance adjuster, but then Covid happened. I have now reached out a few times since things have started to open up and they have not returned my messages. I'm disgusted at the way they have handled it and would never recommend them due to the way they have treated me since the move. read more

From start to finish Booth Movers was amazing. I first spoke with Doug, who was extremely knowledgeable about the area I was moving to, as well as the NJ moving industry in general. After some quick questions, we did a very efficient virtual walkthrough of our apartment and received a quote immediately following that. I was able to book and confirm a reservation that same day. Our three movers were very professional and had such great positive attitudes. They helped me feel less stressed during a hectic time. I cannot praise Ric, Vaughn, and Komo enough. I will definitely be using Booth again in the future and will recommend them to family and friends. read more

Great service! I felt very confident hiring Booth Movers for my recent move (2nd floor, one bedroom apartment to a ranch house). The owner came out and gave us an estimate - it was spot on what we paid. They confirmed in advance, answered every question I had and were extremely prompt. Everything arrived in tact for the most part and the crew worked quickly. Above all else, the crew that was sent to move us (Harvey, Joe and Evan) was very personable, professional and expeditious. We enjoyed the experience working with both the crew and the management but I can't give enough positive feedback for the guys that showed up... They did an excellent job - the move was super smooth. I would definitely recommend Booth Movers to friends and family. While the cost was substantial, it was less than what many movers had quoted us. It was money well spent. We moved about a year before this from DC to NJ and did it ourselves with a uhaul. While the truck rental and materials cost about half of the price of hiring a moving service, Booth Movers certainly provided a superb level of service and value. read more

I contacted Booth Movers for my last move. Scheduled an appointment with Doug to give an estimation. He took the time to take note of the furniture and explaining the whole process. Having worked with other movers in the past, with mixed results .. I cannot recommend them more! read more

Shout out to Esteling and Diego for a great move. These to guys know what they are doing!

Don't trust anything they tell you. I confirmed with them that I wanted the low deductible insurance but when our belongings arrived damaged, scratched and broken they claimed we didn't have the low deductible insurance. I compare their service to the service offered by Jim Jones. read more

I have used Booth for several moves over the past 10 years or so and each one has gone smoothly without any hassles. My latest move was a delivery of household items that were in storage for a few months to my new townhouse. The move went quickly and efficiently. I had two very large and heavy sofas and a large desk that all would have to go up or down a floor. By removing a few doors, the team placed all of the items exactly where they needed to go. Very efficient and painless process with Booth. read more

I am editing my review to reflect how hard the guys worked and how appreciative I was of their effort. Unfortunately there was damage to half of my dishes despite being wrapped in bubble wrap and foam and packed in a glass saver box and GLASS FRAGILE was written all over the box. They also didn't show up as expected. When you are in luxury buildings, the elevators can only be used during the reserved time. I though they understood that especially after I made it clear what the reservation times were. It was more stressful the day of the move than it should have been. read more

I went with this company based off of their yelp reviews and boy did they live up to them! Ray,Chris & Zach were amazing. If anyone is going to be moving, request them. They work as a team and do everything professionally and efficiently. My husband has a broken back so a moving company was a MUST. I will never use another company in the future. I was quoted a certain amount while booking the move and the balance was cheaper than what I thought, another win! The guys took apart any furniture that needed to be broken down and reassembled when we got to the new home. They were really good sports about me trying to decide where things were going to be placed, since I changed my mind a bunch of times. Again, very professional and worth every penny.
