My own personal cowboy and I have been to quite a few Westen stores and several Boot Barns and this one is my second favorite! This store had a large selection of just about everything you could possibly want. I'm not into the Western wear like my Cowboy (As the song goes , he was into Country when Country wasn't cool ) but I do like alot of what they carry. I found a gorgeous pair of boots that I really want for Christmas and are on my list! I don't own a hat but there was one beauty that I fell in love with. Heck, this joint had loads of hats for men and women and the accessories. You bet I found a few blouses too and my guy was happy with his finds. The only drawback was we weren't asked once if we needed help Sure, we'll be back . I have loads to purchase for my one and only Cowboy and I hope I get a bit more attention while stocking up for him and his Christmas Wish list. 3 stars for large selection 2 stars for customer service. read more

This Boot Barn location is the worst. My spouse and I went there, because I wanted to get my straw hat shaped and we waited about 15 mins before we decided to leave. The sales representative Mike comes over and said he doesn't shape straw hats and mentioned to another girl that she would be needed. My spouse and I stood there for some time and yet no one came over or indicated that someone would be over to help us; so we left. Bad energy, unwelcoming and poor customer service. We went to the location on Oracle here in Tucson and received a much better experience. Love my hat and in the future we will take the trip from Vail to drive out to the Oracle location. read more

Ordered two pairs of newborn shoes. One became back ordered for a solid month, and when they sent me the email stating my order was ready for pick-up, I showed up and they only have one pair. Either way, the lady who helped me DELIVERED the shoes a few hours later to my job after finding them. I appreciated the effort to make it right, and not cause me to be further inconvenienced. I Love Boot Barn! I've NEVER worn this type of clothing before and only started when working at the barn my fiancé owns. Upon arrival of my first experience there at Boot Barn, we were greeted by Carlos! Let me first tell you...the guy is a Customer Service Genius! So sweet, knowledgeable about products, helped me with Hat fittings,boots, jeans, I prefer the mens shirts to Womens and he makes me feel great about those choices. What I can say about Carlos and what I have to say about Boot Barn are two different things...going there in the summer is awful. They do not supply their employees or customers air conditioning and that big building is supposed to get cooled off with fans??? This is Arizona, Boot Barn. Do better! These people are working their asses off to make you more money, to make them more money and honestly the only reason we come back is for the customer service we receive from Carlos who only works on Thursday's now, but we go because he is the epitome of that place for us. Customer service at it's best! Been dying for a pair of cowboy boots forever but happen to be a little cheap so I found an amazing Groupon deal and my dream boots were mine. Trouble was I couldn't get 'em on! I went to Boot Barn and was greeted by Deanna. I told her my dilemma and that the boots were NOT from Boot Barn. She took me to the back of the store where she steamed and stretched my boots several times until they were perfect. She even showed me the old trick of putting a plastic bag over my foot to help slip the boot on. Just to be sure Deanna had me put the boots on one last time to make sure they were OK. When I struggled getting in to one of them, Deanna offered to keep them and stretch them for several hours and let me pick them up the next day. I didn't even buy these boots at Boot Barn! Deanna is so in tune to her customers' needs and is so incredibly helpful. I ended up purchasing some cedar boot trees, boot hooks and a boot jack. Who knew you didn't just simply slip a cowboy boot on and off?! While she worked on my boots i perused the store and not only do they have an amazing and huge selection of boots but they have clothing, hats and all kinds of fun stuff. I came into this store to have my cowboy boots either fitted or fit with shoe horns of some kind. Not knowing exactly how the process worked, a wonderful sales person named Val came to my rescue. Val took the time to have me put on my boots and told me that she could do a stretch on the boots to expand the width just a bit. When she came back, I tried on the boots and they were PERFECT. Being very knowledgeable and helpful, I asked Val about boot horns or "boot trees". She showed me the different kinds and explained the difference between "pointy toes and square toed". What a difference I had from not knowing and having a wonderful education about boots. When I got to the register Val was there to ring up my order. I wanted to give Val a tip but it was frowned upon so I purchased a couple of really nice ring sets and that made everyone's day. I made a purchase online that unfortunately didn't work out on the sizing and the amount of effort these ladies are going through to find a store that has my size is truly what customer service should be about. I went in to buy my first pair of boots with no clue what I was looking for. I had been to the other boot barn, but no one had helped me. As soon as I came in a lady named Madison greeted me and asked if I needed help finding anything. She immediately found me a pair of boots that fit like a glove, they are so comfortable. Pretty good selection of boots, though no white ones. They had an after Christmas sale, so there were lots of discounted boots, sale averaged 75-120$ boots. I like going g into boot barn but I go to the one on. Oracle. There is two women in there that are not very customer frienderly. I stated it to the elderly one she got very indignant. I Explained to her I'm spendinfg my money, "you should be more hospitable to your curtomers" I see them when I say them there is a young one with long eyelashes who can be just as rude. I've seen them be so rude to Mexican people that Can't speak very good English. Why I know is like I say it's close for my husband and I but if I have to go across town I will or better yet. I went into this location to buy some boots for my trip home to Colorado for Christmas on 12/12/2010 in the late afternoon, and could not believe how unhelpful these people were. For one, I am not a cowboy, but I do love cowboy boots. After waiting around for several minutes, and watching the staff look over at me, unwilling to help me, I decided to leave and found the exact same boots on Zappos.com for $20.00-$30.00 cheaper, plus free overnight shipping. $546.00 later, I was happy to support Zappos.com and will NEVER shop at Boot Barn again. read more

After all I heard about the Boot Barn, I felt forced to go to their show room. The store was stocked with about 30% boots, 40% clothing and complements, and 30% aggravation. Here is a store named "BOOTS BARN", not " Boots, pants, belts, hats, and shirts Barn" You NEED to accomplish the INITIAL BOOT SALE, before you worry about supplemental crap nobody who came to get boots is interested in. Your boot stock was lacking in more ways than one. ALL the lace-up had speed hooks, which anybody whose worn boots for 15 MINUTES knows open speed hooks snag and tangle on other laces, other boots, trash and debris and generally are a POOR IDEA for boots. But the management for BOOT BARN doesn't know this? EVERY PAIR of lace-ups had speed hooks. STOCK the boots you advertise. Get it? Got it? GOOD. Because after a 140 mile round-trip for nothing, you've lost this customer for good, And I hope you DON'T like it, because maybe if you don't like it, maybe you'll change it for the next poor sap who gets sucked in by all the Boot Barn hype. read more

Do yourself a favor, try the boots on there and buy them online. I bought a pair of toddler boots for $42 and change, gave them as a gift. I decided to go to boot barn.com and they were $24. It seems these stores are owned by individuals who believe a 100% mark up is appropriate ( how do they sleep at night?) I even once tried some boots on and went to amazon and bought them $70 cheaper. Surprisingly rude customer service. As soon as my husband and I walked into the store, the sales associate approached us in a very abrasive manner. Seriously, like he wanted to fight us. He stood right in our path as if trying to block us from passing by him. It was so awkward. He asks us if we were looking for anything and we told him we wanted to check out the clearance rack, since it was after Christmas. The sales associate starts barking sales at us instead of just directing us to the rack then with a snide condescending attitude after he finishes with the sales, says "you probably didn't catch that, anyway"... We ignored the rude interaction and continued to look around. My husband found some jeans he wanted to try on, the fitting rooms were locked, so we attempted to find an associate to unlock them for us. It appeared that only two people were working that night. The initial abrasive guy and then another person. BOTH Socializing, wouldn't acknowledge us or offer to unlock the fitting room for us, when it was more then obvious we wanted to try a pair of pants on. Needless to say we just put the clothes down and left. We've shopped there before and haven't received such nasty service. We'll probably shop there again, because we do like western wear, just unfortunate to have to deal with poor customer service. read more
