I was in Tucson this weekend for a wedding that I knew wasn't formal...more on the informal side....but I still had nothing to wear and I always like to look my best. My cousin was holding the Chupah for the wedding, so she wanted to wear something extremely flattering as well, since everybody would see her. She shops at Clique all the time and we both needed dresses...so lets start the fun! The clothing in the store was not overly priced and everything that they had was flattering to a girl/woman's body. I could have walked away with the whole store...but then I remembered that I was very poor...:) Also, I have to say that for somebody who can NEVER find anything on a sales rack...I picked up 2 shirts and an adorable skirt. I can't wait to go to Tucson again so I can go shopping! (Oh, and to the amazing dive bars that they have...but that is another story for another time)

The laundry room stunk to high heaven because of a dead rat (he found it) and there were signs of rats (rat poop) in the kitchen cabinets. When he pointed these things out to her, she said she would have workmen to come to fix things, but it never happened. Finally my son told her he could not stay there and he needed to end the lease because the place was not habitable. She agreed he could end the lease on June 30 and she would give him his security deposit back. He left the place In the same condition it was found (we documented this). For a few weeks she texted back-and-forth that she would be returning the security deposit as soon as she could, always giving another excuse (she needed to speak to her bookkeeper or figure out how much would be deducted for June utilities, etc.). Then she just ghosted him. She no longer returns emails, texts or answers her phone for either of us. We are now in the process of taking her to small claims court. Alexis, I will take down this review as soon as you make good on your promises to my son. I am retired and I have plenty of time to pursue this. You will be better off just making good on your commitment. Be better!

My hair stylist suggested Waba or a place like Sally's, so I opted for the latter because I've been before. While the quality seemed nice, Sally's lacked the selection I needed because my hair is difficult to match. Off I went to Waba, which is owned by the same people who own Lee's on 22nd. Holy guacamole! This place is the Wal-Mart of Weave (in a good way). Tons of colors, lengths and styles. Synthetic to real human hair to feathers, you name it, they have it. The employees helped me in all my clueless-ness and found a very close match to my hair color. Since the ones that matched weren't clip-in ready, they are going to make them for me and I can pick them up on Monday (I went in on a Saturday afternoon and they are closed on Sundays, so I am pleased with the turnaround). They even measured my head so that they will fit perfectly! The price was reasonable too (about $100 for 14-inch human hair clip-in extensions). I highly recommend this place for everyone from expert to beginner. The quality, price and knowledgeable staff are unbeweavably awesome (sorry, I can't resist a good/bad pun!).

I walked in and told the first sales person I saw that I needed some clothes to wear for walking around Paris for two weeks. What followed has never, ever, in any other store, been my experience. Yes, a sales clerk kept close tabs on me and offered to put the first couple of things I picked up in a dressing room. I was happy to let her do that. Three hours--that's not a typo--later, I left with numerous items of clothing: long pants, t-shirts that beat any t-shirts I had bought elsewhere, a couple of other things--and a sales slip with a total that showed a little under $600. I almost gasped! But my wardrobe was sadly depleted, I was older with a body that was changing, I needed the clothes, and (thankfully) we could afford the haul. I was pleased with the quality of the clothes; mostly, I was exhausted! I had planned to drive clear across town to a different shopping mall. But I was about to pass the Crossroads Festival strip mall, saw the Eileen's name, and decided, "This time, I'm going in there!" I was so glad I had!
