I tried a few boots on and while the designs were really cute, it either squeezed my toes too much or felt too big in the heel and I couldn't find one that had both enough room for my toes and still held my heel comfortably. I'd probably have to get custom boots to get comfortable boots, but that's even pricier! There's a lot of boots made of all sorts of genuine leather -- I personally don't know if I love that (I'm an animal lover!) but it's usually also better than "vegan leather" which just ends up contributing to the overwhelming amount of plastic contributing to our environment so eh! Up to you on how you feel about it, it overall looked pretty authentic and sturdy and a lot of the boots mentioned they were hand-made. The store is clean, smells like leather (which I like lol but not everyone may) and overall is organized well. Parking is a bit odd but when we went on a Sunday midday, it was easy to find parking. There's also a huge selection of jeans of varying colors as well as shirts and belts that all tie together well. If you're looking for a Western look, this is the place to shop! read more

Came here looking for some western wear for wifey, unfortunately we were unable to find her anything "sad face" most the women clothes were also made in China, they charge premium for some close that quite frankly is overpriced " such a sad state of affairs" The men's section seemed to have quite a bit more to offer, I was able to find a black leather belt made in America and a beautiful 250th America anniversary belt buckle for $200.85 The help was excellent. read more

A need for some work boots brought me here and what a large selection they have. I had my dad try on several boots to see which ones would be the best fit. We went with the usuals but they had so many options I had him try all of them and we ended up with 3 pairs that we would have never expected. Which was a nice find! We browsed the store and tried on several different boots and I was helped by a woman with blonde hair as she told me the best way to find the perfect fit of boot for me. She also brought me the boot remover so I could easily remove the boots. I found a couple I really liked the fit of. My sister also enjoyed browsing the many different boots. We briefly browsed the rest of the clothing items and got in line. Our cashier was very friendly and got me signed up for their rewards card. Seamless process to pay and we were on our way. This place is worth the drive up here. It was very busy but we still found a parking spot. A large variety of boots for both work and entertainment. I was reluctant to write this review, but after visiting this Boot Barn several times and having the exact same experience each visit, I felt it was worth sharing. Every time I've been in the store, there have been multiple employees standing behind the registers looking down at paperwork while customers wait to be acknowledged. Instead of greeting customers or offering to help, they continue what they're doing and completely ignore the people standing there. I've waited several minutes just to be checked out without so much as a "We'll be right with you." I understand that employees have other responsibilities, but acknowledging customers is basic customer service. A simple greeting or letting someone know they'll be helped shortly goes a long way. Unfortunately, this has happened on multiple visits, so it doesn't seem like an isolated incident. I like Boot Barn's products, but the consistently poor customer service at this location makes me think twice about coming back. I hope management addresses this because customers deserve to feel welcomed and valued. read more

Went into this store hoping to buy a hat and get is steamed to fit the head. Found out the girl who does the steaming is there on Thursdays from 10-2. Got there at 1 and we found out that they need to "get the steamer" hot and the process to get the steamer hot takes 45 mins? I guess the steamer wasn't ready to go for whatever reason. We were disappointed as we had a 2 pm appointment. The girl seemed to not really care and actually seemed relieved. Yeehaw....I got a cowgirl hat!!!! I wanted to get a cowgirl hat to go with my Tecovas boots I recently purchased, but didn't want to order one online so we decided to go to Boot Barn. I was skeptical at first with regard to going to this particular location due to some of the reviews about customer service. However, we really had a good experience. The store was busy the day we went, but I was able to find someone to help me right away. Her name was Jessica. She was super nice and very knowledgeable. She helped me find the appropriate size of Boot Trees for my boots, as well as explain the benefit of using them. Then, I asked if she would help me find a cowgirl hat! She explained about the different types of hat, finding the proper sizing, and the inner band around the hat. Jessica was very patient as I looked at the different types of hats, the price points I wanted to stay around, and explained to her what I was looking for. She really made the experience pleasant! I've been to several other boot barn locations with my husband to buy him new boots and update his wardrobe. This location was disappointing to say the least. They did not have a very big selection on boots and their staff was unfriendly and unwilling to help. Justin had a bad attitude with helping us pick out the boots and acted like we kicked his puppy when him asked to oil them. Saying "really ... ok fine" (didn't do it btw) while waiting for the boots we shopped around we picked out three pairs of jeans three shirts and two hoodies. When we asked a different much friendlier gentleman for help looking more of a particular style of sweater he got passive aggressively reprimanded. Justin came back just in time to get that commission though. When he brought us to the front he told us to put are things down and wait there to be helped, after a few minutes he very rudely told us to go to the back of the line all in front of a manager I might add who was to busy stroking his ego to correct him. I wish I caught the name of the young man who was the only one willing to help us in order to give him a special shout out for being the only nice person there. We will not be returning to this location.We would rather drive the extra miles to go to Fairfield to experience DECENT costumer service. P.S fix your leaky ceiling. read more

I bought a genuine caiman pair of western boots here in San Martin Boot Barn. I wore them for about half hour and then I realized the stitching had come undone. I took the boots back the next day and the folks at BB were so helpful. They didn't give me a hard time at all about exchanging them. Heidi was very nice and friendly and helped me pick out a new pair. Roy had helped me with my original purchase and he was also super helpful and professional. My first experience at boot barn was not good. The boots that I wanted were defected and looked worn. I asked one of the girls on the floor if there was another pair in the back and I was told no, but you can order a new pair at the register. I went upfront to order my boots and she said that I should get them within a week. When my boots arrived I noticed they were the same boots that were in the store. That was very disappointing even when I told her I didn't want those boots. So I went down to boot barn the next morning talk to a girl named Edith who help me with my situation. I've been here a few times. I love the selection of clothing and accessories. I love their selection of earrings. I am an earring freak. Great selection of hats, a bit overpriced for what you get. The high end hats are gorgeous and worth the money, if you're willing to shell out the $$$$ Great selection of boots ie: Dingo, Ariat, Tony Llamas, Dan Post, Corral, Shyanne. This Boot Barn is a pretty good size and has a wide variety of ranch/farm related clothing and shoes as well as some more showy belt buckles, etc. I stopped by Boot Barn to pick up a pair of work boots. They got the work boots broken out into sections that meet the various safety requirements for the boots you may need. The staff member that helped was able to point me in the right area that had the boots that I needed to buy. The process was pretty quick and painless for me. Came to this location in hopes of looking for boots & jeans but the store temperature is outrageous!!! This boot barn recently remodeled but it's even hotter than before. Humidity is so bad you feel suffocated & break a sweat. Some workers are helpful than others but they can't continue to work in these conditions. Love this store but the manager at this location was not helpful at all. When I called about a return with no receipt I was told it would need manager approval. Went in to return the brand new boots with tag still attached and never worn and she refused to return them. Ended up having to call customer service and wait 1-2 days for a copy of the receipt. We bought a Skyline hat as a gift and we got the wrong size so we came within the 30 days to exchange it to get the correct size. The old lady at the register said "did you shape it" we said no because we don't even know what she was implying. She called the manager to check the hat. ( we did not do anything to it or try it on, it was sitting under the Christmas tree for 2 weeks) The manager inspected the hat and said " it's ok return it" As the manager walks away I hear her say " you shaped it but we will still return it" I correct her again and told her it was a gift we gave and we got the wrong size. The boots are great, I drove from San Jose based on the selection I found online and for a pair that I really liked. The service however... TERRIBLE! The big tall lady working the fitting rooms super rude when we asked her if one was open she was like "all the doors are closed so there busy" not one person asked if we needed help, the lady with the black round hat working the register could care less talking to other employees, overall every single person I encountered (approx 5) seemed very un-happy. We ordered an item on the website and scheduled a pickup In the store. We arrived at the store after a 30min drive and were told that the item was not available and had "walked away." There was a similar more expensive item available for sale but we were not told by the staff that the item was available as a replacement for the item that was not available. I ordered a couple of items online for pick up in store. When I went in, I went to return one of them. The lady helping me was like sign for the return and you will get an emailed receipt in a few minutes. Since I drove an hour to the store, I walked around and looked to see if there was anything else I wanted to get since I was there. When I went to the car I looked at my email to see if I got the receipt and had not. I went back inside and talked to the same person, she than said she could not return it at the moment but told me to leave the item and that she would return it when she could. I drove in to go buy an outfit I normally spent quite a bit of money when I go into the Boot Barn but I needed to run to the restroom and I was told that i cannot use the restrooms there its onlybfor employees which is very disappointing especially when there's nothing in the area so I left disappointed had to drive 8 miles out to go use the restroom somewhere else I will not go back to this location I do have to say that other boot barn locations do have the restrooms open to use and I will do my shopping at the other locations. read more
