Came in here looking for a particular boot I had seen online. I walked in & all the cashiers looked over as I walked in & just turned to what they were doing. Not one greeting. So, I continued to the boot racks to see if I could find what I was looking for. I saw an associate walking past me but completely ignored me. So I followed behind her & asked for help. She then walked me over to the boot. One looked torn from the side & she then said maybe she could look in the back & see what he finds. About 7 minutes later she comes back & tells me Turlock has 3 in stock maybe I should go there. Which Turlock was the complete opposite. Loved their service & store! I will never come back to the Modesto boot barn. read more

The store itself had a very good selection and was kept fairly organized. Found what I was looking for, although the workers up front made it noticeable that I was interrupting their conversation. But I believe the manager helped me and was very attentive to customers. read more

Does anybody work here??? I was in the work boot area for almost 1hr trying on boots and looking for my size and nobody in the area. Nobody asked me for assistance or anything?? Only person I seen was the cashier and I went to them and asked for a size and they called on the intercom for assistance in the work boot area and I'm still here having enough time to write them a review and yet no help or assistance!!! It took a while to get someone to help me but once I did the guy, Justen, was very helpful. Ultimately they had to order me a boot from another store to get my size. At one point in the process I had to deal with the manager, a woman with short blonde hair. One of the rudest people I've ever dealt with. I got my first pair of boots here and it was so easy to find my size and style without opening boxes. They are all right there for you. I did not need any help because of how available the boots were, but the lady upfront was very sweet. I wish I knew her name....Stacy maybe??? She was great and really funny. We've shopped here a few times and we had no problem. But today going in, we drove 30 minutes away to buy some work boots. And they didn't have a size we needed out. So we asked for assistance and she went back to check for a minute and said there was nothing left. Then we told her to check at another location. Come to find out they did have the size we need available at this location. She just didn't take the time to look the first time. I guess not selling some expensive boots to make sales weren't worth the 5 minutes or even less to check. read more

Sure, the items are nice...but the service I received was not. Started off with Boot Barn online. Ordered boots that were too large, brought them to Boot Barn and they weren't able to return it without a receipt and they couldn't look it up for me. Called the customer service twice, left messages and also emailed. Never heard back...so I called again. They are going to mail to me a shipping label so that I can return the boots for a refund. It should arrive in a few days. Good expensive products...service needs improvement. read more

I stopped by the Boot Barn in Modesto this morning. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they seemed to have updated their inventory from the first time I had been there 3 years ago. I was greeted by the cashiers when I walked in. I went straight to the boots, having an idea of what I was there for. Ariana greeted me and spent quite a bit of time with me finding the right boots, even helping me make some fit adjustments and then helping me find some accessories. If I had to say anything for constructive criticism, I'd wish they had more styles of fashion type boots to choose from. Other then that, the staff was incredibly attentive and helpful, the store was clean and items were easy to find and well organized. Really couldn't ask for more in a shopping experience. read more

Went to the Boot Barn at plaza park way in modesto, ca. After spending 1:30 hours at the mall. We decided to go to boot barn because we didn't find carhartt brand. Big mistake because my husband felt so uncomfortable and was in disbelief that the cashier would call a code 13 on us. After only being in there for less than 30 seconds, two employees came towards us asking " If everything was okay here." My husband had the intention of buying a jacket worth $250 for these cold winter. But ended up leaving with something he didn't like because we felt unwelcome. Very disgraceful that we had to go through that during these wonderful times of the year. I purchased a $210 dollar pair of work boots there... the heel started to tear off 31 days after purchasing. didn't really think anything of it the first day it was small. next day at work the crack tripled in size so I decided to take them in for an exchange. First off they lied to me saying they had to call there manager because there wasn't on on site then later admitted the manager was in the back and refused to speak with me through this entire situation. 2. I had to argue for a hour just to get them to offer me a manufactures warranty 3. these Justin's boots they sold me for $210 were the china made knock offs, they were stamped "made in chine" just didn't notice tell later my fault trusted the sales man when I was purchasing. 4. they left there poor sales girl out there to deal with what is now a pissed off customer knowing she has no authority to fix the situation in anyway. I'm pretty sure that was the idea. Sense it was a day and a half past the 30 they couldn't exchange or help me in anyway other then send it to corporate which I was giving a 3 week wait. Then if they decided it was a manufactures fault they would then send it to the company, extra 6 to 8 weeks.... which means my month old boots will now be gone for 2 months.after all that and the paperwork they then tried to get me to buy another set since mine were gone..... I would never buy boots or support this company again. never the sales lady was nice and tried to help but has no power to help. the manager that could have kept me as a customer ruined any chance of that. Its funny a lot of these businesses hate online shoppers and speak out about keeping your money local. then you go in to a store and receive this treatment. a good online shoe store would have set me up with and exchange and express shipped it to me. guess the jokes on me decided to buy local and got robed. read more

I purchased a pair of Ariat "Unbridled Roper" boots in early March 2016. By the end of May 2016 the sole had completely fallen apart. I took them into the store today and explained that after digging 1 hole, the sole had fallen apart. All the store would offer me was a 20% off coupon for another pair of boots. The manager would not even come out of her office to speak to me. What a waste of time and money. Unfortunately Boot Barn has lost me and my families business, although it is obvious they do not care. Shop elsewhere! read more

I have bought boots from here before and had excellent customer service. So I decided to go back and bring a friend this time. The service was horrible, people were getting helped left and right around us but no one would help us. They would just walk by and help other people. We were so upset we left and decided to go to tractor supply. If you need boots and want good service boot Barn in Modesto is NOT the way to go!!!! read more

Customer service is the worse! Came in to return a pair of boots I had just purchased the same day, the lady didn't even took my receipt even though I handed it to her she just ignored me, (the blonde older lady with short hair) was being really rude and no one help me find the pair of boots I needed! (They employees were just standing around gossiping and not even doing there job) Over all worse customer service. None of those girls have customer skills! read more
