Great vibes, makes sense why it's most student's favorite bar in Boone. There's upstairs with the stage and downstairs with pool tables, and the porch outside for different vibes and the food is good. Service and bartenders are nice and attentive. Willing to make you whatever comes to mind to try if you have a request and accommodate.

Burrito salad - awesome! Loved the cilantro rice...only downside is I thought the dressing had too much lime Steak Fajita quesadilla - decent but caution: too much grease!

Though I'm not much of a bar person, Boone Saloon is my kind of place. This is a chill bar with plenty of space to spread out, relax, hang out, and have a conversation with friends. There are two levels with plenty of seating, making it great for groups. Best of all, there's an arcade downstairs with pool tables, pinball, Skee-Ball, and old school arcade games. A server at Lost Province Brewing Co down the street, where we stopped for happy hour drinks and appetizers, actually recommended this place to us, so this was our next stop. We ended up staying for a while (no other stops required). Two levels = two bars, both outfitted with TVs. The main level (street level) has a jukebox and stage where live music is played. If you decide to queue up some songs on the jukebox, just know that the staff can skip over any song they don't like. One of my friends requested Escape by Rupert Holmes (The Piña Colada Song) and about 20-30 seconds in, it was skipped over for the next song. Along with the bar and games, the lower level has loveseats and other living room and lounge-like furniture. When we visited, there were four pinball machines, Golden Tee Golf, a racing game, retro 80s arcade cabinets, fighting games like Street Fighter II: Champion Edition and Mortal Kombat 4, shooting games, and a four-player co-op game (Captain America and The Avengers). All in all, it was a nice mix of games and all of the machines were in working order. All games, except for Captain America, cost 25 cents per play. Captain America cost 50 cents. There's a change machine if you need quarters. The Saloon has a decent-looking food menu offering Mexican food, traditional pub grub (e.g. fish and chips, wings, fries), soups, salads, different varieties of mac and cheese, burgers, and several kinds of sandwiches. The prices are reasonable as most dishes are under $10 each. The drinks are reasonably priced as well with most single servings of draft and canned/bottled beer only $2-5 each. They had over a dozen beers on tap and over 20 packaged. They also had over a half-dozen wines by the glass ($7) and bottle ($24). My friends ordered a lot of drinks including pitchers. I didn't drink, but instead ordered a Barritts Bermuda Ginger Beer for $4 + tax. It was yummy. The staff and other patrons were nice.

Good beer selection and ambiance. BLT and wings were on point. Probably the best bar in Boone.

Saturday 9pm, got served immediately. Drinks accurate and strong. Played pool, listened to local band and enjoyed the atmosphere.

overall shit service. Bartenders were rude and literally three the coasters and receipt at us. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else.

This restaurant has by far the best selection of beer in the area. We enjoy eating there just as much as we enjoy delicious beer.

Our family dined at Coyote Kitchen for a late lunch after visiting Hawksnest. I had researched Yelp…read moreprior, and based on the positive reviews and extensive menu I was excited for our family to give it a try. We were greeted promptly and were able to snag a table. I was surprised to see such a large crowd dining that time of day (2:30). But despite the busy flow of customers, service was wonderful, eager to answer questions, and very attentive. We started with the yuca fries. The absolute BEST I have ever had! Fresh, warm, well seasoned, and large portion. Our family of 5 ordered the Sedona bowl, Black & Blue burger, burrito, one of the boats, and the quesadilla, plus sweet fries and regular fries. We all thoroughly enjoyed our entrees! And loved all the fresh salsa options! Prices were also very reasonable! When we are in the area again, we will definitely return to Coyote Kitchen!

This place was a disappointment! We saw plenty of good reviews and were tempted by the extensive…read moremenu so we decided to give it a try. Our waitress was nice and friendly but definitely struggling and the food itself was very mediocre. We arrived around 5pm on a Saturday and sat outside as a group of 7. We started with waters and then a couple trays of chips and salsa. We opted for the house fire roasted and pico options. The chips were a good portion but each one came with maybe one ounce of each sauce...for the 7 of us. We asked for extras and so she brought out one of each... I ordered a chicken vegetable soup which the menu stated was served with a cornbread muffin. When the soup came there was no cornbread so I asked for that and upon her return she said it would be an extra $2.50 even though I literally pointed to the menu to show her that was not written anywhere lol The soup was okay, probably Would've been better with the muffin but I wasn't going to argue over it anymore. For my entree I got two southwest chicken tacos. And those were disappointing as well. Packed with a lot but just did not deliver on flavor, and the poblano cremosa salsa I got was pretty bland too. Overall sentiment from other friends was similar- they ordered bowls, burritos etc but found a lot was left to be desired with their dishes. Come payment time, I opted to use cash since the menu stated 3% surcharge for credit. When I gave her a $20, she returned my tab (after processing the others who put a card in) and I explained I had left cash, to which she asked "oh do you want me to give you a 10 and two 5s?" And I explained, No I just want to pay with cash, I only need the change. And then she gave me the wrong amount of change. So all around this spot was definitely a let down. @azfitfoodfun

It might have just been the holiday rush, but I always figure "busy means good," so my expectations were high--and The Local didn't disappoint. We started with the nachos; they were delicious, though I do wish they came with a bit more meat. For mains, the burger was outstanding--probably one of the best we've had in the entire area. We also ordered the Brazilian steak, which was cooked perfectly and came with great plantains. The quinoa with tofu was good, too, though it was a little dry and would have been perfect with a sauce. The service really stood out. Our waitress was incredibly attentive and refilled my water at least four times without me asking. Great ambiance and an all-around good experience. Definitely worth the wait!

Bar tender provided menus, and checked back on us after a few minutes to take order. They've got a good menu with pizza, sandwiches, burgers, and a good variety of entrees (seafood, steak, chicken, pasta), basically, they've got something for everyone. Not being too hungry, but knowing we needed something, we decided to just split an order of the pulled pork nachos. The food came out fairly quickly, looked and tasted great. They did not skimp on toppings. Staff was friendly, food was good, only complaint is it was very dark inside, and surprisingly loud in the restaurant, I can't imagine being there with live music, I assume it would be impossible to have a conversation.
