First off let me say this place gave me this nostalgic feeling and took me back to the younger days. As you walk in you're surrounded by a wide range of video games plenty to choose from like Air hockey, House of the Dead, Mario Kart and other cool games. Outside you have water bumper boats, go karts, mini golf and even rides which was unexpected. Boomers was a bummer! I waited to post a review in hopes of speaking with someone in corporate but it's been a week and no one has contacted me back. We arrived at Boomers in Irvine at 1pm on a Monday. I purchased 3 all day passes online. I checked in at the front, they gave us our bands and we got to select our golf gear. After our round of golf we stopped to snack and hydrate and then headed to bumper cars. No one was at the location so we pressed the red button. There was a handful of people waiting. After about 10 min I walked up to two employees standing by the golf return center that later identified themselves as Managers. I informed them that we were waiting and there was no one manning any of the activities outside other than the race cars. He laughed at me and said that someone would be down there shortly, I informed him we had already been waiting for a while to which he replied he just heard someone was going down from the walkie. We had to press the red button and wait at every activity since no one was at any of the stations. Lastly, I went to use the restroom by the golf course at 7pm and even though there was a sign that stated "restrooms are to remain unlocked during business hours" they were locked. As a person with a medical disability I made a choice to go to the restroom I deemed closer only to have to double back to the one all the way on the other side of the park. I can honestly say that I feel ripped off. It was undoubtedly a waste of money and I personally do not recommend. read more

They said they aren't sure and I asked if there is a way to find out and they just answered with "uhh not sure, have a good one" and hanged up. Who is Boomers hiring.? Wow Boomers, you have the worst customer service. I was trying to call Front Desk, Reservations, anyone that would pick up because no one picked up all day. Until Reservations did at end of day. They transferred me to a "number" which happened to be the same option I was calling all day. I called back to tell her and she transferred me again, cutting me off. I called back again and she stopped picking up altogether. So Reservations over 50 ppl lady, I hope you are happy with yourself. My kid lost something yesterday and you wouldn't even help to connect me to lost and found. You are heartless. read more

Big location with many activities to do with the family. They have a decent size mini golf section, water bumper boats, baseball range, fun rides, and good food choices. I recommend coming on week days because it gets too crazy on weekend. The only reason I'm giving this a 3 star review is because of the laser tag experience. My 2 boys informed me that workers were angry and yelling at them, and they said they only went for 2 minutes and equipments were not working properly. As you are reading this review, I'm sure you are thinking my boys probably was misbehaving, but they are well mannered. We had the best experience today while visiting the park for a family's birthday party. Deon was extremely kind and outgoing. It is clear he takes pride in his work and was extremely accommodating for attractions so our family could have the best time together. Had an amazing time at a very well respected and managed team over at boomers this past weekend. Every request that I had made to the staff was fulfilled. To finding a game that I wanted to watch on one of the TVs, to getting a Band-Aid for a cut that my kid had received, to the go kart staff finding a bracelet that had fallen off and they retrieved it for me. It was all plus more, 100% recommend. Oh and did I mention the full bar that they have for the adults?! 5 stars from my experience. read more

This staff is over worked and in turn creates hostility and a lack of customer service. We paid for unlimited attractions only to wait in line for 30 min hoping a worker would come to operate the ride. The workers could care less and would just walk by. The girl at the front check in (Deja) was incredibly rude and cold. I can understand the workers outside being frustrated but not someone sitting in the ac. What a shame, the managers were very polite and apologetic but something needs to change here or just close your doors. read more

Parking was very narrow and crowded for cars that were not compact...Building was a large space...not terribly busy due to Labor Day ..disappointed that some main attractions were CLOSED....attendants were not at rides ..we had to go FIND ONE....to get us on the ride...bating cages were not working properly..we paid for 25 pitches ..and only one 5...I went back and they reloaded the card and that time we got 1 pitch...the attendant told us the machines were very OLD...we did go on go-carts, played mini golf, laser tag, bumper boats and crazy upside down ride ...food was ridiculous expensive ..so we left and went somewhere else..being out of state ..I had higher expectations for Southern California ...We were 3 adults and 2 teenagers...we enjoyed the mini golf the most ...all attendants seemed "checjed out" except for attendant passing out golf balls and bats for batting cages ..they smiled and made me feel welcomed ..I don't think I will be back... read more

This place is a rip off, Spent over $200 on this machine specifically just to see if it was possible to try and win one of these stuffed animals and it wasn't. I'm a 27 year old adult with a group of adults who all tried to win a toy and if we can't even win at these games I don't think it's possible for a child too which just isn't fair. After notifying multiple staff members who also noticed management, They all were of no help and also said that they didn't even have the keys to the machines in order to try and make it a little easier which I also believe is absolutely ridiculous. Game cards are also super expensive, some games including this one are almost 5$ each play.... CRAZY Food was also disgusting and inconsistent, Our patty got multiple orders of macaroni and cheese and they all came out with different consistencies.... Won't send coming here again, There's a lot of places that have games that are easier for the children. Dave and busters AND round 1 have easier claw machines, Better games and more helpful staff. read more

Hey deleting the 1 star reviews won't fix your broken arcade machines or your incompetent customer service from your lazy management. For those reading the reviews beware, when you win a jackpot or tickets from the arcade machine, while the machine is counting the tickets won, if you or anyone else swipes their game card before the tickets are done counting, it will not give you the total tickets won. So for example let's say you won a jackpot of 1000 tickets, and while it's in the processing of counting at 24 out of 1000, and you swipe to play again, you'll only get 24 tickets and not the full 1000 you won. This is false advertisement and a scam. People pay real money to play your arcade machines, similar to how people in Vegas pay real money for the casino slot machines. The best part is when you complain about this to the staff or management, even with a video of your win, they will lie to you saying the cameras are broken, the system has no way to input the tickets you won, and they can only refund 1 game play than to compensate what you paid to win. Just imagine buying a lottery ticket for a $1 and you won $1000 but they just give you the dollar back. That's fraud. In fact their internal system does allow them to compensate what you won within seconds. All they have to do is input your game card information and manually input the tickets won. But the staff and management rather be lazy and incompetent and argue with you than to resolve the issue. This is how you lose customers by raising your admission prices and not fixing your broken arcade machines, and giving incompetent customer service. Train your staff and management better. There's better places to play mini golf and gokart like Camelot, and arcade machines at RoundOne and Dave and Buster. read more

Boomers is a fun place to take the kids / teens ! I wish the adults would let the kids enjoy the rides. It's very disappointing when kids have to wait over 20 minutes to get on a ride but the reason they have to wait so long is because grown men are constantly cutting the line. I wish the ride attendants would do a better job monitoring the line to prevent this from happening! The Boomer's manager was great when I brought up the issue but it's just frustrating situation to be in. read more

We have been going since the remodel and everything is clean and the staff have been friendly. I wanted to mention that Deon went above and beyond to ensure my son and my family had a good time. He was very patient and caring when my younger son used the go kart. He even saw us walking by later and asked how we were doing. Spend $40 on go carts, waited 20 minutes at the go cart line, no one showed up, employees walked by and stared at us got a refund and left.

Great for family kids and couples. It's a fun getaway with a lot of fun activities. Recommend coming here for birthday parties.

I wished I would have saved my money. I paid 27.99 for 4 people (including a 5 year old and 2 year old). This was the twilight ticket price for all attractions 2 hours before closing. We rode three rides. The rest of the rides were closed and the others, no employees were there to run them. Even after pushing a button near the ride for assistance. Mini golf was just okay. Not sure what I was expecting. The arcade was $10 for 50 tickets. The games start from 5 tickets a play. So we got about 5 plays in. Most of the employees looked like they didn't want to be there. Very underwhelming experience. Wished I could get back the $121.96 I wasted. read more

Birthday planning for kids can be stressful and expensive. I was looking around for a place that was affordable yet fun for kids and Boomers was the perfect match for what I was looking for! I purchased the Gold package and planning was stress free - the staff reached out to me via email and called me a few days before the event to confirm the details. The pizza (which was actually good) was more than enough for the kids and I had ordered 2 more plus salads and drinks for the adults and had left overs. You have the party room for 90 mins which is enough time to eat pizza and have cake (bring your own) and if you wanted to, open presents. The rooms are big and have plenty of chairs and tables for food and presents. They included drinks, cups, plates, napkins, utensils and even a lighter. The staff will bring the food to you and even help cut the cake! The arcade was what you expected; a mix of racing, physical, shooters, crane games but the points (you get 100) ran out pretty quickly. The 4 hours of unlimited attractions however was where the value was; we really liked that there was a mix of go-karts, mini golf, batting cages, actual carnival like rides and bumper boats. There's a lot to do and the waits weren't long either. The most popular attraction were the go-karts but that was to be expected. The kids loved everything and the adults were impressed at the amount of experiences being offered. A huge shout out to Yassmin who was our party server/host - she was extremely attentive and helpful. Also, the General Manager named Sean came by to introduce himself and asked how things were going and we appreciated that - he was very welcoming. read more

The facility itself is fine--a typical kid-oriented arcade. However, the games are a total rip-off. They charge a kid over $5 each time to try to win a small stuffed animal (that is probably worth $2). The machines feel rigged and thus the child hardly ever wins. As a result, you lose $50 in about 5 minutes and your kid goes home unhappy. They need to let a kid win more often to make it a reasonable experience. read more

Out first Covid-19 attempt at a non beach outdoor entertainment place. We really wanted to do something for Ian's birthday during these crazy times. Every year we have taken him to a different place (Chronologically: Long Beach aquarium, Santa Ana Zoo, Irvine Regional Park, Billy Bee's, Incredible John's, Disney World, Legoland & Knott's/Medieval Times). This year we took him to the beach, but the Mrs. felt it was not enough. So, she researched and we took the chance of going to miniature golf at Boomers. Good call. Everything open at Boomers currently is outdoor. A lady took our temperature and inquired about our general well being prior to admitting us into the property (See Picture). We walked to the outdoor counter and purchased a round of golf for Ian and I. *Note* We were not comfortable yet to have Ian do go carting. It was very tempting until we saw a gentleman bend over and manually unstrap the seat belts of the kids on the cart. His mask was definitely not wholly covering his exhaling. (-1) Golf was fun. We spent a good 60 Minute playing, and having a blast. Patrons were practicing social distancing, and wearing PPE. So, it felt safe. We will definitely be back in the future. read more
