Although we didn't book ours as an event, they still gave us equally great service. Our server was Leslie and she really took care of us. She even found marquee letters to spell my husband's name! No one rushed us, they let us bring our own cake and even gave us plates & utensils. The drinks were good and the food was excellent for a bowling alley! I'm awful at bowling, but Bowlero was a fun place for date night. My boyfriend and I came on a Friday night so there was quite a bit of a wait. I'd definitely recommend making reservations online to avoid the wait, but it really wasn't that bad. The service was excellent and the vibes were great. You can have the bumpers on or off, but we kept them off. There's lots of bowling balls to choose from to make the experience better for players who might need a lighter or heavier ball. Bowlero is a bowling alley that, along with its sister companies Lucky Strike and AMF, has multiple locations across the country. This location in Tustin is located at The District on the second floor next to Planet Fitness. They have ample parking but during busy times and weekends you might be parking far from the plaza and walking over. There is also valet parking available. You can reserve lanes online where you can play by the hour but they don't have that same deal in person. They had a special where we pay for two games ($13/game) and the third game is 50% off. Including shoe rentals ($6.50/pair) it was $40/person. For two people it equated to $10 per person per game which is not bad. We arrived at 7:30pm without a reservation and waited about 45 minutes for a lane. You can order food and drinks from the screen at the lane which was convenient so you don't need to walk to the bar. I liked that the bowling balls had different sized holes for the different weights; I don't know if that's always been a thing but it was nice for those with different sized hands. I also liked that we could enable and disable the bumpers electronically and also on a per person basis. What I wasn't a fan of was that the pins were on strings and sometimes they hit other pins making it look like you hit them but they didn't count. When we were here there were a lot of birthday parties and events. There was also an arcade, a sports bar with TVs, and free WiFi. The arcade card costs $2 and all games are 3-10 credits to play. They're open late night and get busy so I'd recommend reserving lanes online. If not, you can use the arcade or bar to pass the time. read more

This site is located by Tustin Legacy inside Park Place Plaza -- just a quick note that visiting Sunday a good portion of the parking lot is fenced off for farmer markets and vendors. The bowling venue is located on the 2nd floor next to a fitness gym. The inside lounge have a nice vibe with upbeat music and a bar do make it feel more like a mini-party than just a game of bowling. It's a fun place to chill and hang out with friends and family. The staff ((shout‑out to Amy and Jay (I think)), were friendly and helpful to our group who got more than our fair shares of stuck gutter balls. The ambiance was chill but the experience was less than up to par. We noticed the bowling pins are now attached to strings which makes the fall more controlled . We were rolling the ball straight down the middle and what would normally be strikes were not even sometimes when there was two left and a pin will hit the other pen. It still wouldn't lock over when it normally would, I will definitely be going back to fountain bowl after this experience here. I did appreciate that they had a tech system for the weight since the weight was 45 minutes to an hour and our lane was called exactly 45 minutes after check-in. The employees were also very helpful. And one person in our party war size 15 in men's and they actually had his shoe size and we were very surprised about that because a lot of places don't usually carry his shoe size so I will say as far as shoes experience is concerned they are very accommodating. read more

OK, to start, I am a person that bowls 2-3 times a week. So I'm going to be critical but fair and honest. We were here recently with a group on a Friday Night at peek hours-place was packed. Service/staff: 4 *'s People working there were genuinely nice and helpful. We did have a group, so we prolly got extra attention. But overall the bar/waitstaff did a great job. The vibe in the place is fun and upbeat. Service and attitudes were great. Food: 3*'s Food was acceptable, fries were good, pizza was so-so, wings were pretty bad. Many bowling alleys have very good food. I would say theirs is below average. Facilities: 2*'s It's very cramped. I am not even sure the lanes are regulation width. There is little room between you and the lane next to you and people often have to step into your lane to hit a 6/10 pin. Machines work well and all, but the string pins just make it weird-I knew coming in they were string pins though. I wish they would come up with a better solution, normally I would never go to an alley with them. Cleanliness: 0-Zilch Sorry -not sorry, this place is filthy. It's one thing to run a filthy restaurant, but it's also a very important part of bowling. You literally could not slide on the lane approach because the floor was so sticky-covered with gunk. This is actually dangerous, and several people in our group that are regular bowlers almost fell including myself. When you can't slide, all of your weight goes to your knee and your knee expects to move forward. Really good way for someone to blow out their knee. If the floor on what is supposed to be the cleanest part of a bowling alley is that dirty, it makes me wonder what the kitchen looks like. Summary: There's things management can and can't do here. They can't change the horrible string pins, and they can't make the building wider. But they could improve the food. They also, NEED to clean the approaches and oil the lanes. The lane conditions were horrible, completely unacceptable-my bowling shoes were coated with black gunk by the end of the night as were my wife's-hers looked like she ran through a forest. @Management: lane approaches need to be mopped and cleaned once or twice daily with a dry mop and then a wet mop with actual lane cleaner (yes it exists). There's no way these lanes had been cleaned properly in the last week. The rental shoes also should be cleaned. Came here around 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon. Coming at this time is perfect since they open at 11am and it's not too crowded. Our first lane was not registering when we bowled, which was annoying but the staff was nice enough to switch us to another lane. This was lane number 5. They sent someone to fix lane 5 while we were on lane 6; with that being said we didn't feel comfortable throwing a ball down our lane while someone was fixing the lane (at the end where the pins are). I understanding needing to fix the lane, however you'd think if they're doing this kinda of procedure they would move everyone far from that lane. Waited 20-30 min for the guy to be done. Then we order a beer on the iPad at the lane. 30ish min passed and we still never got our beer. Went to the bar and they had the order, however the bartender (Tyler i think his name was) was in the "bathroom". Nuhuh not for half an hour dude. We held a special birthday party here one weekend for my better half. We were a group of 12 (11 adults and 1 child). Madison Martino helped me evaluate packages and we ended up simply booking 2 lanes. I was able to pay for the lanes/shoe rental and with a discount code, it seemed pretty reasonable. Don't get me wrong, it was expensive, but Bowlero isn't just a bowling alley, it's a whole experience. Why is it a whole experience? Maybe it's the technology where you can simply select bumpers for certain players and the bumpers will turn on and turn off when it's the correct person's turn. Maybe it's the vibey music that plays in the background or the giant screens that play music videos and movies (we had that animated Spiderman movie playing during our time). Maybe it's the full service that's available direct to your lane or the full bar with exciting drinks. Or maybe it's the cool game room set in the back to add another element of play/fun. Whatever it is, this isn't your typical bowling alley. Some notes on our party: ***Cute set up: At the back of the lanes, the staff set up a lighted sign that said my better half's name, along with water, cups etc. We also used this space to hold the birthday dessert we brought, gifts and later our beer tower that we ordered. ***Tax: Bowlero offered another package that included food but that package had tax. We saved a lot of money just buying the lanes and we still had access to their party platter food. Great modern bowling alley in The District shopping area at Tustin Legacy. It is located on the second floor on the opposite side of the AMC theater (next to Planet Fitness). I recommend parking at the Petco or Whole Foods lot and then walking over. I purchased their annual summer pass for around $40, where you can bowl for as many days as you want (2 games + shoes). It is such a great deal! They also have a "premium summer pass" which includes arcade credits and can be used at any location (the standard pass can only be used at one location). Bowlero takes lane reservations but I do not recommend it unless you are planning a party or big event because the reservation prices are very very expensive. I never had to wait too long for a lane here. What's frustrating is I noticed prices for bowling are not clearly displayed anywhere at the counter (and not on the website either), which is a shame because I believe prices are pretty affordable. Based on other reviews I believe they are around $10/game plus around $6 for shoe rentals? With the summer pass you only need to go two times to get your moneys worth. I booked my son's 10th birthday here, and it was the best decision. It was SO easy to book online. The website makes it so easy, so user friendly (as that's not my forte most of the time). Prices, dates, times, food choices, arcade cards--all crystal clear. I chose the package that included the cookie cake, so I literally arrived to my son's party as if I were the guest. You don't have to bring anything unless you WANT to bring your own cake and balloons, etc. For me, I figured it already looks cool in there, so no need for extras. Why bring a cake when they provide the dessert? Also, they have the coolest candle-sparkler!!! The young boys got a huge kick out of that! I did purchase extra arcade cards, but they didn't have time to do them anyway. It's fine, though, because I'll use them when we go bowling next time. They provide a $5 gift certificate as a party favor, so they can bowl again next time. They even have your child's name up in lights! Sooo cute!!! The food was your typical chicken tenders, fries, cheese pizza. The fruit was the best! So sweet! They refill whatever you want throughout the party. The boys just really wanted to play. They didn't eat a lot, not as much as I thought they would. Our time was from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. 6 players fit in one lane, but we had 7 boys, so we had two lanes which was perfect! Organized a fun adult birthday here with the help of Michaela (our event coordinator) and Ariana (our server). Total cost was $383.24 for two hours of bowling (including shoe rentals) for six adults, three entrees, and two premium drink tickets each. When we arrived, there was a very cute station set up behind our lane for food with a "Happy Birthday" sign. The food came out about 15 minutes after our event started. We also brought a cake, which Ariana stored for us and brought out (at our request) about 30 minutes before our event ended. She even brought us a sparkler candle to put on the cake! The food was massive in quantity and surprisingly good in quality -- obviously not the best wings or pizza we'd ever had, but better than we expected for bowling alley food. Ariana was so friendly and efficient, kept our tables clean, and took our drink orders promptly. Even when the rest of the bowling alley filled up and she had more lanes to take care of, she kept our event going super smoothly. I'll note that the more experienced bowlers on the team had a little trouble adjusting at first because the "balls were oily" so they couldn't get the spin right (whatever that means), in case that means anything to you real bowlers out there. For garbage bowlers like me who are just there for a good time, I couldn't tell the difference between these lanes/balls and any others. It was great fun! Would come again. read more
