LONG REVIEW AHEAD! We took our daughter to Great Wolf Lodge for her 4th birthday, and it ended up being the perfect little getaway. We stayed one night, arriving Saturday morning and leaving Sunday around noon, and honestly, that was just the right amount of time. A quick tip before you book. I called instead of booking online so I could make sure every available discount was applied. If you're an educator (like me), military (active, retired, or veteran), first responder, nurse, medical provider, government employee, or fall under the Howling Heroes program, there's a discount. The savings were significant. Also, add the Wolf Pass when you book. It's cheaper than waiting until check-in, and we definitely got our money's worth. Now, check-in... whew. It felt like we were checking bags at the airport. Be prepared for a line. The water park opens at 10:00 a.m., but rooms officially aren't ready until 4:00 p.m. You can utilize the park while you wait for your room! We checked in around noon and got lucky. Our room was ready around 1:30, which was a pleasant surprise. I skipped the birthday package because, for us, it wasn't worth the cost. Instead, I ordered decorations from Amazon and decorated our room and the front door while my husband kept our daughter busy at the water park. Seeing her face when she walked in made it 100% worth it. The best way I can describe Great Wolf Lodge is this: it's like a mini Vegas for kids. There is always something happening. Download the app before you go because it makes planning your day much easier. Some activities were better than others. We weren't impressed with Meet the Pack or Story Time. It honestly gave low-budget Chuck E. Cheese character energy. We went once and that was enough. The water park, though? That's where the fun is. Our daughter spent most of her time in the kiddie area, where she could safely explore with us close by. The wave pool was another favorite. Every time you heard the howl, everyone knew the waves were about to start, and the excitement never got old. We also spent time at the outdoor pool, which was just as enjoyable. The Wolf Pass kept us busy. We played mini golf and bowling together, and we made sure to check off just about everything included. One thing to know about the Build-A-Bear experience. The pass covers only the bear. If your child wants clothes, accessories, or even the little carrying box, those are extra. The box alone was $2. We packed our own drinks and snacks, which saved us a little money. For dinner, we ordered the large Honey Pepperoni pizza, and it was actually really good. Before heading home Sunday morning, we grabbed Dunkin' Donuts downstairs, which made for an easy breakfast before the drive back. Overall, this was such a fun birthday trip. Our daughter had an absolute blast, and so did we. We'll definitely be back. One overnight stay was enough to do a lot without feeling rushed, and we left with a very happy four-year-old, which is all that really mattered.

Okay, this is the most interesting review for me yet because I am a once 1 star reviewer to a now 4 of this spot! Previously, I had attended during an unfortunate time when the kiddy pool was being closed down to be shocked multiple times. Back to back. Incidents that shut the pool down for hours at a time and then caused my health to also be affected thereafter.... I came back for this visit since my kids' Cub Scout group was celebrating their year end achievements and it was a great opportunity to join our community and give it another shot for the kids. They also were older and not on the baby pool. Well, I'm so glad I did. Despite the renovations going on, things seemed more organized and clean. The check- in process was much more streamlined and efficient and our rooms were ready and clean (no carpets!! Yay clean room!) with a view that wasn't great since the climbing area was literally right outside, but the kids loved it! Everyone still gets their free wolf ears too. The restaurant breakfast buffet had staff around to mind all the little and big hands reaching for food and we had a "breakfast taco bar" the family really enjoyed. The pool is full of flavors for all age levels and adventurers but a treat for me was seeing the outside pool area- there were loungers in the water, shaded regular seats, cabanas and no echos. It was like a resort! Inside is louder and humid while outside is full sun but open. Something for everyone. Lots of fun free and paid activities so be sure to check the schedule. We took part in story time (free) and yoga (free). I also appreciated the midweek crowd level even for a summer. I recommend you give it a try to see if it's a fit for your family! Okay thanks bye

What a fun experience. We went on the thanksgiving break. It was perfectly warm inside. The kids had a blast. For me it was a bit humid sitting indoors. There were long lines and it was expected . We stayed in the lodge and got 6 tickets free. The rooms were fine but needed a lift badly . The mattress were old and not comfortable. There were lots of activities happening in the hotel like dance , stories etc etc. a paradise for kids. Would definitely go back , but wish they upgrade the rooms.

It was a great indoor water park for family. We had a great time and adventures for the kids. The water park has so many options , slides, wave , kiddies pool, fountains lazy river , tube slides. There were lots of life saver staff and has fast food inside. Towels were available all the time. We got cabana and has free bottled water. Rooms are available if you want to stay for few days . Activities at night for the kids also. We had a great time

Great wolf lodge is a kid friendly indoor water park plus hotel. From check in they have kiosks and helpful employees as well as traditional counters. Design of hotel and water park is for kids to as old as junior high in my opinion. Adults will have fun with larger slides and tunnels. Parking is $5 per hour and $35 per day. Storage locker is $12, $15, and $17 depending on sizes. Food is extra. They look yummy. Basically it's a good weekend or weekday getaway with family if you get a deal. The package means you get two days of water park and one night for everyone and may have extra park tickets for friends. I have fun, kids will love wave pool, anything with water. Giant slides. You will feel safe as they have presence of workers / life guard at every pool. They are well trained and very friendly and professional. The hotel room is clean, they have arcade, mini bowling, and other kids friendly activities. Good experience and fun memories for all.

Exceptional service from sales department and servers at the cabana had great service. We come here yearly to stay in the resort and enjoy the waterpark. I'm happy to see all the renovations being completed and some still in the works of completing. The cabanas have been updated since the last time we rented one more modern and new touches to the outdoor pool and they add a hot tub outside area. The rooms have been renovated as well no more of that wild pattern and no more carpet... It great place there's many activities to do here outdoor adventure park, bowling alley, laser tag, food vendors (Dunkin donuts, there's a pizza co. , ice cream parlor etc.) , water park indoor & outdoor. Overall it's a good place to bring your family and friends.

I booked online and used Applepay to pay for the room, which turned out to be a big mistake that cost me 40 minutes in line. Use a credit card to book your room, so you can use their quick check in line. Either way, make sure you take the exact card you use to book for checking in. Before you go, buy the discounted dining deal. You can only buy it in advance, and the food and drinks are pretty pricey, so you will spend $$$. I also suggest attaching your credit card to your wristband for convenience. We really enjoyed the pizza place onsite. We checked in on a Sunday and it was a bit crowded, but we managed to do it all in three hours. The kids loved the bunk bed, and my only complaint about our room is that the tub faucet leaked. The next day, we packed a bag with a change of clothes that we fit into a small locker for $12, and went back into the waterpark for a couple more hours. I recommend packing travel toiletries for a quick shower before leaving. They have plenty of showers, changing rooms, and a swimsuit dryer, but no toiletries in the waterpark bathrooms. Waterpark towels are provided and must be checked out and in or you'll be charged, so don't lose them. There's a water bottle refill station in the waterpark near the bathrooms. We didn't try many of the activities offered except for the arcade that offered packages starting at $35. Lastly, be sure to pay for parking before you leave. That was also $35. All in all, we got a deal on the room but spent more on food, drinks, games, and parking combined. My kids are 5 and 10, and they were able to go on just about everything that was open. One day was plenty of time if you don't plan on doing all of the activities.

The water park is a nice place to visit, but be prepared for huge crowds year-round. The water park appears to be well-maintained, and employees are ready to assist you should you need assistance and/ or simply have a question. I don't know how clean the water is in the pool area as I personally saw a 8-10 year boy peeing in the pool and people around simply laughing about it, YUCK!! The way I see it, if one boy urinated in front of others , how many others do it without anyone noticing? For this reason and the super large crowds, I think I'll continue to use the water-hose in my backyard when I feel like getting wet on a hot day and simply stay away from large public pools.

This was hands down the most amazing place my family and I have ever been. We went for a three-day birthday trip and there wasn't a single dull moment. Arcade, indoor water park, laser tag, ropes course, magic wand quest, summer activities plus plenty of food options - buffet, restaurant, Dunkin', pizza, ice cream - and all that. Everything is right there, so you honestly never need to leave. It's super family-friendly and the staff is exceptionally kind. We got birthday pins, constant birthday wishes, and even a song and cake at the buffet. The room itself was decent, not fancy, but comfortable. We had a queen bed and a fun little kids' cabin bunk area. The hotel kept things warm because of the indoor water park, but the room had AC. Valet was convenient, and the whole place is massive with tons to explore. It is a bit pricey, but for us, absolutely worth it. If you've got kids and want an stress-free all-in-one getaway, I highly recommend it.

I paid via Apple Pay, and they don't have tap to pay on the self checkin kiosks. If they told me earlier I would have just use credit card when I book my reservation. Whole family spent 90 mins at this line -

Update they never apologized or made anything right and after seeing countless reviews I found out Jackie Lopez even called the cops on a 4 year old child she's mentally unstable. There are countless horrible reviews here come at your own risks. The quality, customer service and everything in general has gone down the toilet here. I also took my son to a different hotel and we had a blast. So thankfully everything worked out but this place is horrible

My family and I experienced Great Wolf Lodge the first time. We stayed for the night. Check in was at 4pm and that's the time we got there. I had some trouble with checking in, your ID and credit card you use to pay must matched so please keep that in mind. Thankfully the worker helped me and we were good to go because we drove 4 hours away! Our room was clean and there's a lot of renovations going on in this location. I recommend bringing the kids even if it's for the day, the park is open from 10am-8pm. So many amenities like golf, laser tag, bowling, arcade and of course the indoor waterpark for all ages. I'd say the food there is pretty expensive so I advise leaving to get food elsewhere you can bring it inside your rooms but not in the park! I'll be back again!

Stayed here as a property option offered through Time Share- Hilton Grand Vacation. There is self check-in for regular guests, I opted to go to the front desk since I had questions regarding our stay and parking. Alex and Jorge assisted me and provided great customer service by answering every question I had, even guided me through the prepaying my parking. We booked a Family Suite, it was spacious for my family of 3 although it could accommodate up to 6 people. Although there was a mini ref for our drinks and food, wish there was a microwave in our own room. There was a "community" microwave by the ice and vending machines, however, it needs to be cleaned for the next person and there were no paper towels for one to wipe splatters/spills. The sink and bath fixtures were loose, but was doable. I am glad that GWL allows guests to still enjoy the waterpark the day of checkout, even lets guest to stay parked in the garage up to 10pm, the day of checkout. It's also great that there an Anaheim Regional Transit (ART) Bus stop just outside the hotel, that would take us to the Disneyland Parks and Downtown Disney. The waterpark is great for kids, tweens, teens and young adults. Can get overly crowded. Lots of food options, entertainment is mostly for the kids.

Great Wolf Lodge Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Great Wolf Lodge

Is the water cold in this time?

No they keep the area at a consistent temperature year round. It's really nice

    How much are the rooms?

I know this isn't very helpful, but nightly rates vary depending on day(s) of the week, time of year, and type of room. Best to call them for that type of info if you know when you're going & what you need

Does GWL still have bed bugs?

No not at all! Very clean!

    Are strollers allowed inside?

Hi no not inside the water park

    How many slices in pizza?

    There's 12

    Can you bring snacks?

    Yes you can

Do they have pool chaise lounges? We plan on buying day passes and wanted to see if they have them to relax

    Yes they have some outdoors.

Is there a shuttle to Disneyland?

Yes but you dont want to do that. Great wolf is a vacation on its own. We did 3 days disney and 2 great wolf. Trying to do both on same day is awaste of $

Can I just for water park and not stay at the room?

    Yes! They sell day passes

Is there a shuttle that will take you to Disney Parks?

Yes! The art bus will. But honestly theres too much to do at great wolf.you cant do it on a park day. We did 3 days at the park and 2 at great wolf. It is so much fun

Do you think an almost 3 year old and almost 2 year old will have enough things to do at the water park only?

Hi! Inside the water park there's a little kids area, plus a wave pool with a shallow part ((you'd have to go in with), a small lazy river, and an outdoor pool that's fun (when it's hot). If you don't mind going in with them, there's plenty to do.…

If we buy a day pass what time can we go to the water park? What are the hours?

I saw two options. One from opening to close and one from 4pm to closing.

Can I go through check in line alone are does my family have to be there at check in?

Yes you can check in alone. They have a huge lounge where kids can play and don't have to wait in line with you.

Are there microwaves in the room?

No. But there's two microwaves, vending machines next to the ice machines.

Is there a gym/fitness center at the great wolf Anaheim location?

Yes it's on the 2nd floor

Can we bring our kids their own life jackets and towels?

Yes. When it's busy they run out of life jackets and the only ones left are for babies. Also with towels when is busy they run out and make you wait. So if you can do it !!!

    The water is cold?

No! They keep the water at 84 degrees year round. I'm fact, (pro tip) on 8/4 every year they have a special sale on rooms to commemorate the water temperature.

Can different people use the wristbands the second day (checkout day) than the first day (checkin day)?

From our experience, the staff was pretty relaxed about the wristbands. We even cut them off after the first day, and just asked for new ones the second day, so we didn't have to sleep with them on. I think you can just ask the front desk for them.

Do they charge for parking and can you leave and come back if you do pay for parking without having to pay again?

Yes they charge $22 per night for self parking of 1 car with in and out privileges. It gets automatically charged to your room but make sure to bring in your parking ticket when you check in.

If we use the water park after check out is there a private place to shower before we leave?

We were just there yesterday and we used the restrooms behind the wave pool. They have showers there that have curtains on them as well as curtained changing areas.

We just finished up our swim lessons and we are very pleased. We started off with group sessions…read morethen transitioned to private lessons once my son was comfortable. The teachers we had were all great but my son really had a blast with Mr.Carter. He was punctual, had great energy and you could tell he cared about his students. We will definitely be coming back for more lessons soon!

What exactly am I paying for?…read more Seriously. I purchased a membership for lap swimming, but the reality is that members are constantly competing for access to THREE lanes. Not an entire pool. Three lanes. And apparently the expectation is that up to FOUR adults can share a single lane. Four. There was a day when a third person joined my lane and that was RIDICULOUS. Four people sharing one lap lane is not a quality swimming experience. It's overcrowding disguised as a membership benefit. Then there are the limited hours. Which I was initially fine with until everything else. There are the swim lessons and you will be removed from a lane if the instructor needs the lane you are already in. Then there is the jacuzzi, which seems to spend more time closed than open. I swim three times a week and I honestly can't remember the last time it was available. At this point, why advertise it as an amenity at all? And today I find... the facility is closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday for a swim meet. The only notice given was a piece of paper taped to the door. A piece of paper. In 2026. Members provide phone numbers and email addresses when signing up. Why collect that information if you're not going to communicate closures that eliminate nearly half a week's worth of access? No email. No text. No notification. Just drive over and find out when you get there. The most frustrating part is that none of these issues exist by themselves. It's the combination of all of them. Limited hours. Limited lanes. Overcrowded lanes. Frequent jacuzzi closures. Priority given elsewhere. Unexpected facility closures. Poor communication. Yet the membership price suggests you're paying for a premium aquatic facility. You're not. For less money, I can join a gym with a lap pool, a functioning jacuzzi, longer operating hours, fitness equipment, and significantly better availability. City of La Mirada wants to charge premium membership fees while delivering a consistently limited experience. The entire operation feels incredibly cheap. Cheap communication. Cheap availability. Cheap member accommodations. But somehow not cheap membership prices. If members are expected to share three overcrowded lanes, lose access for entire weekends, receive no meaningful communication, and watch amenities remain closed for weeks at a time, then management needs to answer a very simple question: What exactly are we paying for?

Did…read moremy two-year-old end up in the ER with a virus-related ear infection on New Year's Eve, two days after our visit? He sure did! But little kids pick up viruses everywhere, especially in winter, and going to an indoor water park in December was our decision. And for the most part, it was a good one. We went to Great Wolf Lodge for an overnight and hit Bear Track Landing two days in a row. The water park was on the basement level, accessible through a shop selling things like swim gear and emergency snacks. We got wristbands for park entry when we checked into the lodge, and kept them on for our entire stay. Entering Bear Track Landing felt kind of like walking into a giant mouth, warm and thoroughly humid. There was a very wet bathroom and apparently a locker room somewhere on the property, with lockers available for rent. We changed in the bathrooms on day one, before our room became available, and things were definitely nicer when we were able to get ready and stash our stuff in our room. We were able to claim chairs to keep our things, not that we ever sat in them. We saw parents of older children relaxing with drinks and reading material. That was not our experience. The water park was huge, with several distinct areas. My kids are two and four, and neither of them can swim, so I spent most of my time in the Cub Paw Pool. This was a shallow activity pool with big water tables and small slides, two feet deep on the deep end. Both of my boys loved this area. Leo B. (4) went on the slow, curving slide several dozen times. His brother Wade B. (2 and aptly named) mostly stuck to the shallow end, where there was a slide so small I think I could touch both ends at once. There were a lot of toddlers in the Cub Paw Pool, and plenty of signage indicating that diaper-dependent guests must wear protective swimwear. Honor system, for obvious reasons, but the water felt clean enough and was definitely hyper-chlorinated. We also checked out the wave pool, the lazy river, and Fort Mackenzie, the four-story play structure at the center of the park. Wade hated the wave pool, though to be fair, we got knocked down by the outer waves, which are apparently stronger than the ones deeper into the pool. He was freaked out by the lazy river, too, which I otherwise found enjoyable, with a swift, rather industrious current. Leo ended up liking it and going around for several laps on an inner tube, with me and my husband taking turns holding Wade on the perimeter. Wade was initially into Fort Mackenzie, but slipped and fell early and lost interest in exploring. Leo found a little slide there he liked and went on it over and over with his dad. They also spent quite a lot of time in a big kid pool, Leo clinging to Daddy and otherwise not doing much. None of us tried out the bigger slides. My husband and I spent at least half of our time at Bear Track Landing in different parts of the park, each of us attending to one of our children. There were life jackets on hand and lifeguards on duty, but this was not an environment where we could take our eyes off our kids for even a few seconds. We went with our friends and their two sons, and while we all overlapped, we were usually separated into parent-child pairs. If this sounds stressful and not that enjoyable for the grown-ups, that's because it totally was. Also, despite the initial warmth, I did get quite cold after some time inside. Despite all this, and the ER visit, I'm giving Bear Track Landing the full five stars. We knew what we were signing up for when we booked two days at an indoor water park, and our kids had an absolute blast. The place felt as safe and clean as possible, with tons of entertainment even for non-swimming children. We plan to go back, and the boys should be bigger and less helpless with every visit. One day we will be the parents sitting and reading books, inspiring envy while our children run wild.

Parking is free, and there are plenty of spaces when their isn't other events or services going on at the same location. My first visit was for a family kid's birthday party, and we were all pleasantly surprised. The party itself was organized well and had its own area inside one of the buildings. We had our own area decorated (you can bring your own decorations, too), and the food was fantastic for amusement park food. We had pizza, turkey sandwiches, chicken tenders, soda, and punch. We had about an hour for lunch before being released to enjoy the rest of the park. Many of the staff were kind during the party and throughout the park and made the experience that much nicer. The variety of rides here will please most young kids and adults. There are a couple of roller coasters, a carousel, a train that circles once around the park, and many more rides. I'm surprised how much they fit into the park space. There is also an arcade and a petting zoo. For food in the park, you have the standard burgers, pizza, tenders, pretzels, churros, ICEE, ice cream, and more. The prices aren't too bad either. Plenty of snacks and merch to purchase, too. There are also plenty of places to sit and relax, with shaded areas. Especially needed during a warm SoCal day. It was the first time for many guests in our party, and everyone enjoyed the experience. Many of the kids want to go back and have their birthday parties here next year, too.

It's a fun time, less crowded than Disneyland, much simpler than Disneyland, and a lot of fun! I've got three kids under the age of 12, and there's a lot for them to do in Camp Snoopy. There are some solid deals on food and drinks too, and while the meals are nothing to write home about for the most part, some other places have some really good portion sizes. Half-chicken meal at the Boardwalk is a good deal. Parking is a bit steep. I'm surprised that it was $40 even in the general parking lot. But the walk to the park is short, so I like the convenience (ahem, Disneyland). Is it as immersive as Disneyland? No. Is the app good? Not really. (lol for example it said the log ride wait was 15 minutes but actually it took an HOUR). Is the storytelling and music as good as Disney? Heck no. But it's a LOT of fun, the roller coasters slap (esp. Ghost Rider) and it's hecka cheaper, especially if you buy an annual pass. As I mentioned before, Camp Snoopy is brilliant for kids under the age of 10, and my 11-year-old still has some fun on the rides there. Highlights include the spinning swing rides, Sally's Big Swing, and the Snoopy Roller Coaster. The Wild West Ambience is on point. Bandits still rob your train mid-ride, and the live banjo music at the barbecue joint in Old Town was a nice touch! All in all, a solid good time. Went on a Monday in mid-August and the lines weren't too bad (except that log ride lol)

This was my first time staying at one of the three Disney hotels and while there are sooooo many…read morepositives there were a couple small annoyances that I think are worth mentioning as well. First the positive, the hotel itself has such a fun feel to it. The staff is really welcoming and you see little details of Pixar through every turn. The coffee shop was perfect for my mornings as I tend to get up before the rest of the family and love a nice coffee to warm me up. The convenience of walking to Downtown Disney was great! We loved spending our spare moments wondering around and I found so many more food options in this area. Food at hotel restaurant was kind of "meh" so having DD so close really helped. We also loved the monorail stop being so close but it seemed to often be closed which kind of made that perk not as accessible. Also loved how we could cut through the California Grand Hotel to get to California Adventure Park. -Now let's talk about the elevators which, in my opinion, weren't that bad at all! I had read so many reviews that I was legitimately scared! If used correctly the system works great. You simply push the button of the floor you want and wait by the elevator it tells you. Then hop on and enjoy the ride. The issue comes when people get tired of waiting so the continuously push their floor. This cause other elevators to also be programmed to that floor which can cause a lot of unwanted and pointless stops. I can see another flaw being if you have a wheelchair or stroller and are trying to go down to the lobby. If the elevator has too many people on it you will not be able to fit and would then have to wait and try your like again. -Ok, on your the small annoyances. The first one is the pool. While the side was great and the splash pad is nice for younger kids, the actual pool is just so small! Very surprising in sure a large and higher end hotel. Another thing is they don't offer poolside service. Not a big deal but would be a nice touch. Second is the rooms only have a shower so no bath tubs. For me this wasn't a big deal but I can see this being hard for families with young kids. Lastly, there is no room service at this hotel. After a long day at Disney we were enjoying a relaxing time I. The hotel and room service would have been really amazing. Again, I was surprised with a hotel that is a bit more higher end not offering any room service. -Overall I'd say this was a good place to stay. I would book again when they have a good deal going (we were able to stay for $1600 after tax and fees for 4 nights). I don't think I'd pay their normal rates as the small annoyances just don't make things worth that high price tag. Bonus Pro Tip- The small balconies over by the stairwells are a great place to catch the Disneyland fire show. So if you don't want to o go down to the pool deck just walk down your hallway and enjoy the show.

After reading a few reviews, I have a similar experience to share. The hotel itself is beautiful…read more It is new and well-maintained. The staff were consistently friendly and made sure we had everything we needed. The walk to downtown Disney was easy as was getting through security. We enjoyed the hotel pool and my young daughter had fun on the water slide. Breakfast at Great Maple was delicious and by far one of the best meals at the hotel our entire trip. The parts that I didn't love and took away from a 4 or 5-star experience: 1. There is no room service. This surprised me as the other two Disney hotels both include this service. As a parent to a young child, early morning room service before park shenanigans has been so supportive and easeful. Given the prices, I'd expect more. I did expect more. This was disappointing. This alone is why I wouldn't come back. 2. The cafe in the hotel does open at 6AM for those who are early birds and get to park at opening. It was nice to be able to get hot water for tea or grab a latte. They have some pre-made food selections and snacks and of course, glutinous pastries. For families like ours who have food restrictions such as gluten, there wasn't much option. The pre-made frittatas were pretty awful. Would not recommend. And besides that, there aren't any protein forward/warm food options. Again, super disappointing. It's 2026. It's LA. Cmon. 3. They don't offer any drinking water/bottles in the room. Minor detail, I know. But I recall the other hotels do. So if you wanted drinking water, you had to go down to the fitness room to fill up or pay $3.80 for a small Dasani via the vending machine. Mind you, in order to use the in-room coffee/tea machine... you need drinking water to fill it up. Multi-billionaire dollar company. Complimentary water shouldn't break the bank. I feel salty about this one. 4. The elevators. Great concept. Friendly staff. Slow AF during busier hours. Literally allot extra time to get to the lobby. I personally won't go back. But it's the cheaper hotel of the three and now I get why. If you live on pastries and tap water, you Gucci.
