Thought I'd post a more recent review as today was the first time coming to this park. The previous most recent review was over a year ago when I researched this park so I was unsure if the splash pad was working at all this summer, and when I called there was no answer. The park and splash pad were OPEN. We came around 1p. There were plenty of tables with benches for parents to sit and watch the kids play. There are also two large playgrounds and 3 pickleball courts. There is security in the splash pad area. Fun spot. Definitely recommend if you have young children who love the water. read more

The splash pad area is gated inside the blue fence. It opens from noon to 5 and water shuts off 15 minutes prior. There's a restroom in the same area. All the kids were barefoot but if you're afraid of stepping in things or slipping, I would recommend water shoes. No food or drinks allowed. No to pets. Plenty of street parking. It's seasonal and open starting Memorial weekend to Labor Day. There are 5 picnic benches and 7 park benches. 4 of those benches will be in the wet zone. There were two staff on duty. Make sure when you change your little ones, to do so in the restroom for safety reasons. read more

It is almost like going to a free water park with paid staff supervising the kids. Parents must be nearby, but this is such a fun play area to visit when it is hot out. There are lots of tables and benches to sit. No food or drinks are allowed. Parking is free and readily available. There are also tennis courts and a playground adjacent to the enclosed splash pad area. Lots of shaded and covered areas to enjoy lunch as well. Bathrooms are clean. It is open end of June to beginning September. read more

After reading all the great reviews about this park, I decided to come try it for myself (& my kids). There's Something satisfying & soothing hearing the splash sounds of water with a faint POP, POP, POP sound of pickle balls in the background. Mix that in with a child laughing and adults cheering every now and then when they score a point just makes it a perfect combo of life and nature. There is seating with shade for parents. That's where I chose to hang out at and read my favorite gossip magazine. There's a sense of peace knowing the kids are safe due to the gated area where the splash pad is. I felt like I didn't have to worry much and had a very soothing and relaxing time while the kids burned off some energy in the summer. read more

Fun splash pad ! Outside the splash pad where the park is, is kind of dirty. The grounds aren't that maintained & I saw a lot of trash on the ground. There also was a bum sleeping in the area so just be aware. The splash pad is fenced which is nice it keeps the kids contained. Inside the splash pad is PLENTY of seating (benches & tables). There are also bathrooms located in the splash pad. Food & beverages aren't allowed inside the area. The water is cold so if your child is little its best to go on a hotter day. The area is supervised with employees who will make calls when there is rough play. The hours are somewhat annoying how it closes at 5. For free it's a great option if you live in OC & want to cool off. read more

Such a nice, FREE activity to take your kids to. I've been here as a little girl, and over the years have updated the fountain designs since then. There are restrooms, however no food or drinks (water okay) is allowed inside. This splash pad is definitely a highlight in the community of Westminster parks and rec :) read more

Large and fun area for kids of all sizes. Does get busy so keep an eye on your smaller kids to help them have fun too. There are 2 ladies that sit and monitor activity and it is fenced in. Old-ish looking but I've noticed most of the local splash pads are pretty faded- likely from chlorinated water more than age. Enriching is in working order. read more

Cool area for kids to play and splash around. Just make sure you come @ least an hour early because they turn off the water 15-20min before closing time even though it says until 5pm but no more like 4:40pm I guess the staff wanted to leave early. read more

My son had a lot of fun! We went on 06/30/24, I wish there was one in a better neighborhood/ area, I saw a lot of bums, the outside park was dirty, I wonder how often it gets cleaned, but over all for it being free we had fun, another thing, I wish they kept the gate closed, so kids don't run out. read more

Came here today for some fun water spray, made reservations 2 weeks in advance since it's free to come but reservations required. 2 hour increments and there's shaded picnic tables for parents to sit & watch. A good way for kids to kill some time on a weekend. Water is cold. Don't drink it. They open at exactly 12:30pm on Sunday, since it's the 1st reservation slot. read more

Great community splash park for the kids to play and be healthy. The men and women restrooms are inside the splash pad. There are lots of metal benches for people/parents to sit. There are 5 picnic table benches to sit. However there is no food or drinks allowed in the splash pad. Great thing is the parking lot is right next to the entrance. You can bring snacks, food and drinks and keep them in the car. Next to the splash pad is a big playground, tennis court, basketball court, hand ball court, green field, baseball field, and a few bbq pits. read more

When we arrived there were two city workers bouncing people because there was a reserved private party using the splash pad. AND they added that when they opened to the public YOU NEED A RESERVATION. Obscenely exclusive, the outside of the gated splash pad was littered with kids in swim clothes, perfectly dry except for their tears. Awful. read more

Came here on a Saturday around 4 p.m. and boy was it super crowded! We found parking down the street not too far as it was taken all up around the park. The water park was staffed by one person during the water operation (that I noticed)...there were more staff when it closed for cleaning. Honestly, I feel the experience would've been better if the put a cap on how many people are let in. After we played in the water, we walked over to the dry playground side. There was two ice cream trucks, a corn lady and one push cart ice-cream lady. The park was TRASHED with TRASH! The trash bins were all full, over-flowing with garbage. It was very sad to see how people treated this park. I would go back if it were cleaner. I hate to ruin the hustle of the vendors selling at the park, but maybe the city should ban them or something. read more

I really enjoyed it, also parking is so nice that you can take a little break and walk to your car for whatever you need since there's no food or drinks allowed inside. Yes, lock that gate! Private party seems like a great way to hang in this place, but the full time city employees probably keep it great all the time- they are keeping guard over the behavior of the visitors. My nephew had his birthday here and the kids loved it, from 3 year olds to 16 year olds... Restroom attached for those last minute bladders... Four tables for the cakes and food... Shade under all the umbrellas attached to the tables- Overall great spot! read more

Truly one of the best kept parents' secrets in Orange County ...for FREE! Imagine a small, gated area with colorful, cartoon-y fountain devices like the ones you may have seen at Legoland or Soak City. Things that spurt, squirt and pour water continuously and randomly. Little kids can run through the sprays or stand to get soaked, and even aim a few well-placed water shots at their friends. Hours of operation: May 28th through Sept 4th on Weekends 12 pm to 5 pm. June 20 through Sept 5th Weekdays: 12 pm to 5 pm. Now that my kids are are 9 and 12 they are a bit too old for this wonderful place. It's really for toddlers and kids up to about age 7, although you do see older kids from time to time...have the kids come in swimsuits and bring a few towels. There is at least one parks staff on hand to supervise although parents are expected to be present and responsible for their own kids. Be aware that this place can be rented out for parties. What an awesome birthday celebration that would make for a little kid! read more

I love this place. I brought my 6-year-old daughter and my son who is 8 months old who is sleeping at that time. They have so much water compared to other splash pad. They have chairs and benches inside the pad. NOTE: NO BRINGING OF FOOD AND DRINKS INSIDE there are also 2 nice ladies watching by the gate. Came to this place on a Tuesday around 11am after reading the reviews. There was kids and families there but not too crowded. Only 6 shaded tables inside so get there early if you don't want to be in the sun. My niece and daughter enjoyed the water play ( ages 6 & 9) . Only giving it 3 stars due to the fact that the park itself is dirty! Plus a lot of adults playing dominoes smoking all around the kids. A nice splash pad with staff on watch for those kids who run a round and need a reminder to watch out for little ones. Lots of little stations with water spray. Tables for parents to wait at with covers above. Restrooms to use and I think change in. I didn't use the restroom but they were close by. Once the kiddos are done in the water, there's a park to play at. A fun time for sure just pay attention to the hours before you go. read more

Skip to the bottom for quick tips! I've been meaning to take my son here for years, but I finally took him here twice last month. The first time was on a Saturday around 1:30pm. Big mistake!! There was absolutely no parking at the park or the surrounding area, so I drove around for 15 minutes until I finally found a spot. My son had a great time at the splash pad though. I liked that there were people supervising and strictly enforcing the rules. We came back the following Tuesday at 11:30am. There was barely anyone else there, but it quickly got packed a little after 12pm when the splash pad opened. Tips: * Arrive at 11:30am if you want to find parking easily. * If you do arrive early, that'll give the kids time at the playground. * Bring cash for elote or the ice cream truck! * Bring hand sanitizer. No soap in splash pad restroom. * No food/drinks in splash pad. * Bring hats and water shoes. Limited shade by restrooms only. read more

Went here for a kid's birthday party and it was so much fun. What a cool thing, that they block off the area for a party. A little cramped in the table area for a party, but how neat to be able to know your kids can't run off. The facility seemed to be clean, I didn't go to the bathroom, but the water park itself was clean and everything was working. The only downside, is the neighborhood of the park was a bit sketchy, and not the best crowd was hovering around, so it made us a bit uneasy. This place is great! Our son is 13 months old and loves the water. He is a pretty good walker/runner. However, there are older kids (but they are pretty aware of the little ones and respectful), so you have to follow the toddlers around cautiously. The water turns on and off and rotates in sections. Keeps the kids busy in a safe environment. The ground is non-skid and coated with heat resistant paint (at least it seems that way), which is great because the splash pad at Irvine Spectrum is entirely too hot on the ground to let toddlers play without ensuring they have shoes on at all times. Not the best neighborhood, but really enjoyable and fun for the kiddos. Parking isn't bad and there is a nice park with 2 separate jungle gym areas on each side of the splash pad in case your kids want to do something else. Public restrooms are also available. read more

The only downfall for this place is that the park is pretty dirty and the thrash cans are over filled with trash which people just start leaving their trash everywhere. SO SO FUN FOR THE SUMMER!!!! I cannot even begin to tell you how fun this place is! my little 3 year old loves this place. This place has so many water activities for the kids AND its FREE! It gets busy and packed during noon time. I came here on a weekday at around 3 and it was a little windy but still had a great time. After my little one played at the park right next door and got himself a ice cream from the ice cream truck parked there. This definitely reminded me of my childhood. This was such a great place to take my 2 year old! There were a TON of water features for all age ranges. I also love that there are staff that monitors it like life guards do. Great place to cool off! And to top it off, there are two playgrounds at the park too (one for toddler age kids & another for older kids). Love it! read more

It's a good park. Free. "You get what you pay for". Water in splash pad is cold and the wind pushes it out towards play ground. Not ideal if you doing a picnic type of hangout. Kids didn't like splash pad because the water was very cold and there were lots of kids inside the area. It appeared crowded. I wouldn't go back. read more

Took my son here and was amazed at the splash pad. They have 2 playgrounds and a recreation room with activities for the kids. There's a foosball table and ping pong table. They had staff there to help the kids make crafts and play games. Definitely coming back. read more

Dope place to take the kids on a summer day. It was bigger then I thought and accommodated plenty of kids. My nephew made a bunch of friends. Come early if you want to sit in the shade.
