This was the VIP entrance for the beach live festival. While waiting in line to get into the concert, I realized that this is a lagoon for kids. Now that the concert venues all gone I see the way it's normally set up and the place is so cool ! Very small lagoon with a slide that goes into the big kid side . Three different water features that you could stand under and get sprinkled. Plenty of picnic tables around and barbecues grills you can rent. Really cool place to have a kids summer party. I was super excited to come with my best friends and their two kids ,auntie Crystal always comes up with the fun stuff. It has its own parking lot close by two dollar parking. Walking distance from the Redondo Beach pier where all the cool restaurants are. If you have little ones, this is a must do summer activity ! 10 out of 10 five stars. read more

Shoutout to Lifeguard Conner!!! Update in their policy does not allow half dome tent looking shades. I even checked Yelp and their website before coming but didn't realize this and that was the only thing I brought! I was coming alone with my little kid so needed to keep the baggage to minimum... The lifeguards approached me to tell me the new policy at which point I was getting sad that we had no shade, after circling 20 min around for parking etc, getting a little tired. They apparently have shades for borrowing but they run out early on a summer day like this and one guard said they are certainly all out since the morning. (It was past noon). But Conner went above and beyond to go double check anyways, found and brought one back, with a shovel. Which was too heavy for me to do anything with, but he picked it up like a fork and shoveled away the sand, and expertly set up the beach umbrella. Thank you thank you thank you, Conner, you totally saved our day!! Lots of space for little ones to play, wide shallow area, ok and safe for kid and adults who can't swim. We stayed all afternoon and my kid had a total blast. The only thing is, you better have some kind of shade, and hew, with the kindness of one of the staff, we did! read more

It was a great, affordable place to spend the day. The bathrooms were pretty clean and so was the water. It wasn't too crowded. Unfortunately, it was to cold to stay too long and to swim much. I also wish there were some food options. Still, I'd go back, hopefully on a warmer day. read more

Came here w family and It's good for those who want to experience something of a hybrid between a beach and a pool. We came on a weekday when mose children were in school which was good because otherwise it can get quite crowded. We also brought an umbrella for added shade. The place is good for children up to perhaps 12. For younger kids the fact that you can wade in and enjoy a sandy bottom of the ocean like pool without current or waves is fun. They also enjoy the sprinklers. The water is chlorinated but because it isn't very clear I believe they miss a lot of the trash in the pool that's there. (Band aids, plastic wrappers). There are changing areas and bathrooms and an outdoor shower but no private showers. For the older kids that swim there is a water slide. Was good to go and experience but I would definitely only come back on a non crowded day. I don't think it would be as enjoyable if it was packed. read more

I used to come here as a kid. The low and high dives are removed but it's still awesome! There's a small water slide in the deep end, and kids have to do a quick swim test in front of the lifeguards. Plenty of shallow space for toddlers and babies to wade in. Couple of tips: Rubys restaurant is now closed and there's no snack bar. No glass allowed in, and they will search your cooler. And bring your parking ticket with you for validation. read more

It's a beautiful day for the Lanakila Classic. An event for paddlers, outriggers, stand up paddlers and surfers. This park is very nice, clean, public restrooms available-they were clean too. Plenty of paid parking. Didn't see public parking. A few picnic tables im the pavilion. Adjacent to some restaurants, hotels and seaside walkways. Lots of neighborhood activity: walkers, runners, dog walkers and families. Note: dogs roam free at this park. Recommend you bring a blanket or beach chair and soak in all the scenery. read more

Took the kids during the summer. They had fun, very crowded on a hot day. Water was decent, did see some trash floating around.

We had a family reunion on Saturday, 8/10/24 at Seaside Lagoon in Redondo Beach, Ca. Parking was super easy and convenient. Parking is $2 per hour or $6 all day. Can't beat that price and I hope they keep it that way. Buying tickets were easy and very affordable. We were greeted as we entered the lagoon by friendly staff. We were allowed to bring our chairs, cooler and umbrella. Please call or read the lagoon's policy before your visit. We had the table to the very end of the walkway and it was a perfect spot. This place exceeded our expectations. The place is kept up, staff were cleaning throughout the day. Also, the restroom was clean and had everything we needed. They have the cleanest restrooms in comparison to the beach or even parks. That was impressive to me bc restrooms are very important! They also have staff that go around and taking trash out throughout the day. One group had alcohol and the staff were quick to straighten them up. The staff were polite and courteous to that group and let them stay after discarding their alcohol. Note that this place do not allow alcohol. This is a kid friendly place and the staff make sure that everyone abides by the rules. It has been many years ago since our last visit and we have decided to make this our annual family event. They have fun activities in the lagoon for the children and adults. They have a slide that's great for adults too. Make sure you know how to swim! The views are amazing, people respect each other and don't get in any way. Highly recommend this place if you have young children or if you plan a family get together. read more

Nice place for kids to enjoy the sun and water. The "lifeguards" spent their entire time in a group...hardly watching what was going on! Why have them at all!? The cost is high for what it is. The grandkids enjoyed their time, but we wont be back. You have to pay for parking and you have to pay to get in this is ridiculous. I understand that it is a gated community for families to go to, but there needs to be a better system to save a few dollars. Perhaps give us free parking! This place is a gem! Clean bathrooms, ample space for water play and picnic area in the shade. Lots of trash receptacles, so clean up is that much easier. It's also gated, so that gives some safety net. Parking is not a messy problem. This spot is a great family summer spot! read more

I used to come here so often when I was a child, fast forward 30 years or so and I'm bringing my son. We had a blast! Easy to find and if you get there early enough (close to opening between 10-11:30am) you can get good parking and a great spot on the sand. We arrived on a Saturday just before 11am and got a prime spot near entrance and bathroom and perfect for my little. Sand is soft and there are lots of spots on the grass for families who don't want to be in the sand. I even saw families bring hammocks and tied them to trees (unless they are always there? Lol) Water is perfect depth for little ones and are marked by ropes and buoy's to designate the deeper areas for older kids and adults which is where the slide is too, depth of 8ft. Fountains located in the water across the whole place which is super fun for the kids. Bathrooms were super clean and lots of stalls. Overall we loved it and can't wait to go back. Be sure to pack your own coolers as there are no places for food and drinks there but there is a fruit vendor outside the gates that make it perfect on a hot day. read more

I have always loved this place as a child. I grew up coming here most summers and now I get to take my kids. I haven't been here in years but it looks like things are still operating as usual. This is the perfect place to take beginning swimmers so they can enjoy the ocean water without all the waves. The slides are so much fun. They'll be busy all day going down the slide and playing in the sand. It's nice for parents to relax too because you can see the kids so easily. Can't wait to go back!! read more

My son got a bad bacterial infection from this place, it smells it's dirty and there is no control. First and last time ever coming here.

It was staffed plenty on Labor Day weekend. We went on a Friday and it wasn't busy at all. The reason for my low review is because of how dirty it was. The sand area had trash that was clearly from other days. With the amount of staff and the fact that customers pay to come in to facility and pay for parking, I did expect it to be cleaner. I highly recommend Seaside Lagoon if you want to have a relaxing good time (all ages). It was clean, not overly packed, and safe for little ones. To top it off the staff is honest and kind. Here's our story... We were having a good time until, my 12-year-old daughter lost her apple watch on a trip down the slide. We searched for an hour with no luck. The young man at the front desk (I think Casey) asked us to leave our info just in case. I figured it was gone forever and if found, it would be broken from being in the salty water so long. GUESS WHAT?! Almost 2 weeks later we received a phone call from Casey. They found our watch!! My daughter was so excited and happy. We picked it up the next day and it was fully functional. Please note: They did confirm it was our watch before releasing it. I want to thank Seaside Lagoon for being so honest and helpful! I can't recommend them enough. My wife and I took the grand kids here 4th of July weekend. This is a nice place if you have little ones and you don't want them braving the beach and waves. Nice enclosed lagoon with filtered and recycled ocean water. It has some nice water features like fountains and a couple of water slides. Shallow so no concern for the kiddo's. Call ahead if you can and reserve a picnic table in the shaded grassy area. You can bring picnic stuff and umbrellas but no pop up shades. Grills are available at each picnic table but don't forget the charcoal and lighter fluid. The amount of people is limited so it won't get to over crowded. You can come and go in case you forgot something. There are no concessions of any kind so bring all. Your own stuff. Showers and bathrooms are available and the place is kept pretty clean. Everyone that works there looks like they are in high school or that may have to do with my being an old dude. All in all a fun place for kids and adults alike. I really enjoyed my day here and absolutely will be back. That said... I wish I could give it 4.5 stars. Current prices (summer 2017) are $7 for adults and $6 for kids + $6 for parking, so for our family of 4, the cost is $34. For what we paid, I expected bathrooms as nice as the Annenberg Beach, but that is hardly the case. The bathrooms are as small and grimy as the public beaches. But everything else is great. Some people complained about trash, but I didn't see any trash at all. The beach was beautifully clean, as was the water. It is beach water that is nicely filtered, so you can see your feet, which I think is just delightful and worth every penny. The separation of deep end and shallow end allows some control of the facility so we can have some peace in knowing our kids are less likely to drown. My son went on the slide a million times. Stopped by Ruby's and ordered french fries, and it was great. Everything I had wanted Annenberg Beach Cafe to be but wasn't. read more

SoCal is finally starting to move past the dreary Winter of 2019, and we actually had some beach weather this past weekend! I took the opportunity to visit Beachside Lagoon with some family and friends, and we were all quite delighted with the venue :-) First up, if there are any smaller rug rats in your party, they're all just gonna love it here! There's a small play area that's just perfect for Little Ones, and there's also a portion of the lagoon that's very shallow and great for smaller kids to wade in. For adults and older kids (not to mention those of us who will permanently be kids at heart ;-)) the rest of the lagoon is just what the doctor ordered to cool off when the sun starts to make things hot. We made a day of it, and brought along a picnic to enjoy on the public picnic tables they have here. If you're craving some kind of food that you didn't happen to bring along, there's also a Ruby's here with a walk-up order window you can expand your options with. It's beaches like this that make me glad I'm living in California - highly recommended! read more

This was our summer to go this year (2019) and most likely will be back next year. You get the beach experience (sand) without waves which is great for my 2year old. Clean water . There a deep side with slides for older kids . Which my 11year old enjoyed. Aswell as a playground. Ruby has a walk up window if you want to pack less.
