The place gives me a double whammy of heart-felt nostalgia feels as I grew up going to Disney and Yosemite. Overall customer service was excellent. Cast members were friendly, but the concierge goes above and beyond. I really appreciated them helping us with a scooter rental on the spot for my mom, who has a torn meniscus. During our stay, we stayed on the club level and took full advantage of The Veranda Lounge. The lounge offered food at 4 times through the day: continental breakfast, afternoon tea, "happy hour," and desserts. The snacks and unlimited beverages were worth it, and you could take them with you to the pool and to the parks. One one of the days, we spent some time at the pool around 4pm. The place seemed pack, but we quickly learned that many chairs didn't have returning occupants despite seeming to be reserved. We were able to snag 4 chairs with umbrellas. Not all chairs had umbrellas, which was unfortunate. My only complaint was that service felt very slow. Lastly, the rooms were great. Our room had 4 adults, and the space didn't feel cramped at all. The bed and pillows were comfortable to me, and I felt like I had restful nights of sleep.

As is customary, the lines went fast, and before we knew it, we were parked. I do have to say, Disneyland has the most organized parking. We then walked up to the tram line, and that went just as fast as the parking. I was impressed. Upon entering the park, we walked down Main Street, and began what we called a fantastic day. The crowds were large but that really didn't matter to us. The entertainment is always top notch and the food and goodies are always delicious. I did place an order for their pumpkin cookies. They were amazing!! Plus we ate several times, throughout the day, at different locations. Disneyland NEVER disappoints. Their employees are always extremely kind, helpful, and full of knowledge. Definitely a place to visit several times a year.

Is cool that they have the lightning passes and all for an extra fee but boy they are getting greedy by adding a higher tier of lightning passes that is used for specific rides. That level of greed is getting to be a bit much. I'm actually a bit pressed to give them a 3/5 but my niece enjoyed it so 4/5 it is. With so many of the rides weren't closed and that they still did the fireworks though. No fireworks show and parade during the lead up to Halloween I guess.

Bear Track Landing is the giant indoor water park that makes Great Wolf Lodge Great Wolf Lodge. Did…read moremy two-year-old end up in the ER with a virus-related ear infection on New Year's Eve, two days after our visit? He sure did! But little kids pick up viruses everywhere, especially in winter, and going to an indoor water park in December was our decision. And for the most part, it was a good one. We went to Great Wolf Lodge for an overnight and hit Bear Track Landing two days in a row. The water park was on the basement level, accessible through a shop selling things like swim gear and emergency snacks. We got wristbands for park entry when we checked into the lodge, and kept them on for our entire stay. Entering Bear Track Landing felt kind of like walking into a giant mouth, warm and thoroughly humid. There was a very wet bathroom and apparently a locker room somewhere on the property, with lockers available for rent. We changed in the bathrooms on day one, before our room became available, and things were definitely nicer when we were able to get ready and stash our stuff in our room. We were able to claim chairs to keep our things, not that we ever sat in them. We saw parents of older children relaxing with drinks and reading material. That was not our experience. The water park was huge, with several distinct areas. My kids are two and four, and neither of them can swim, so I spent most of my time in the Cub Paw Pool. This was a shallow activity pool with big water tables and small slides, two feet deep on the deep end. Both of my boys loved this area. Leo B. (4) went on the slow, curving slide several dozen times. His brother Wade B. (2 and aptly named) mostly stuck to the shallow end, where there was a slide so small I think I could touch both ends at once. There were a lot of toddlers in the Cub Paw Pool, and plenty of signage indicating that diaper-dependent guests must wear protective swimwear. Honor system, for obvious reasons, but the water felt clean enough and was definitely hyper-chlorinated. We also checked out the wave pool, the lazy river, and Fort Mackenzie, the four-story play structure at the center of the park. Wade hated the wave pool, though to be fair, we got knocked down by the outer waves, which are apparently stronger than the ones deeper into the pool. He was freaked out by the lazy river, too, which I otherwise found enjoyable, with a swift, rather industrious current. Leo ended up liking it and going around for several laps on an inner tube, with me and my husband taking turns holding Wade on the perimeter. Wade was initially into Fort Mackenzie, but slipped and fell early and lost interest in exploring. Leo found a little slide there he liked and went on it over and over with his dad. They also spent quite a lot of time in a big kid pool, Leo clinging to Daddy and otherwise not doing much. None of us tried out the bigger slides. My husband and I spent at least half of our time at Bear Track Landing in different parts of the park, each of us attending to one of our children. There were life jackets on hand and lifeguards on duty, but this was not an environment where we could take our eyes off our kids for even a few seconds. We went with our friends and their two sons, and while we all overlapped, we were usually separated into parent-child pairs. If this sounds stressful and not that enjoyable for the grown-ups, that's because it totally was. Also, despite the initial warmth, I did get quite cold after some time inside. Despite all this, and the ER visit, I'm giving Bear Track Landing the full five stars. We knew what we were signing up for when we booked two days at an indoor water park, and our kids had an absolute blast. The place felt as safe and clean as possible, with tons of entertainment even for non-swimming children. We plan to go back, and the boys should be bigger and less helpless with every visit. One day we will be the parents sitting and reading books, inspiring envy while our children run wild.

First the positive, the hotel itself has such a fun feel to it. The staff is really welcoming and you see little details of Pixar through every turn. The coffee shop was perfect for my mornings as I tend to get up before the rest of the family and love a nice coffee to warm me up. The convenience of walking to Downtown Disney was great! We loved spending our spare moments wondering around and I found so many more food options in this area. Food at hotel restaurant was kind of "meh" so having DD so close really helped. We also loved the monorail stop being so close but it seemed to often be closed which kind of made that perk not as accessible. Also loved how we could cut through the California Grand Hotel to get to California Adventure Park. -Now let's talk about the elevators which, in my opinion, weren't that bad at all! I had read so many reviews that I was legitimately scared! If used correctly the system works great. You simply push the button of the floor you want and wait by the elevator it tells you. Then hop on and enjoy the ride. The issue comes when people get tired of waiting so the continuously push their floor. This cause other elevators to also be programmed to that floor which can cause a lot of unwanted and pointless stops. I can see another flaw being if you have a wheelchair or stroller and are trying to go down to the lobby. If the elevator has too many people on it you will not be able to fit and would then have to wait and try your like again. -Ok, on your the small annoyances. The first one is the pool. While the side was great and the splash pad is nice for younger kids, the actual pool is just so small! Very surprising in sure a large and higher end hotel. Another thing is they don't offer poolside service. Not a big deal but would be a nice touch. Second is the rooms only have a shower so no bath tubs. For me this wasn't a big deal but I can see this being hard for families with young kids. Lastly, there is no room service at this hotel. After a long day at Disney we were enjoying a relaxing time I. The hotel and room service would have been really amazing. Again, I was surprised with a hotel that is a bit more higher end not offering any room service. -Overall I'd say this was a good place to stay. I would book again when they have a good deal going (we were able to stay for $1600 after tax and fees for 4 nights). I don't think I'd pay their normal rates as the small annoyances just don't make things worth that high price tag. Bonus Pro Tip- The small balconies over by the stairwells are a great place to catch the Disneyland fire show. So if you don't want to o go down to the pool deck just walk down your hallway and enjoy the show.

We enjoyed the hotel pool and my young daughter had fun on the water slide. Breakfast at Great Maple was delicious and by far one of the best meals at the hotel our entire trip. The parts that I didn't love and took away from a 4 or 5-star experience: 1. There is no room service. This surprised me as the other two Disney hotels both include this service. As a parent to a young child, early morning room service before park shenanigans has been so supportive and easeful. Given the prices, I'd expect more. I did expect more. This was disappointing. This alone is why I wouldn't come back. 2. The cafe in the hotel does open at 6AM for those who are early birds and get to park at opening. It was nice to be able to get hot water for tea or grab a latte. They have some pre-made food selections and snacks and of course, glutinous pastries. For families like ours who have food restrictions such as gluten, there wasn't much option. The pre-made frittatas were pretty awful. Would not recommend. And besides that, there aren't any protein forward/warm food options. Again, super disappointing. It's 2026. It's LA. Cmon. 3. They don't offer any drinking water/bottles in the room. Minor detail, I know. But I recall the other hotels do. So if you wanted drinking water, you had to go down to the fitness room to fill up or pay $3.80 for a small Dasani via the vending machine. Mind you, in order to use the in-room coffee/tea machine... you need drinking water to fill it up. Multi-billionaire dollar company. Complimentary water shouldn't break the bank. I feel salty about this one. 4. The elevators. Great concept. Friendly staff. Slow AF during busier hours. Literally allot extra time to get to the lobby. I personally won't go back. It felt like you were truly in the Wild West. I loved buying souvenirs in the shops. They have a large Knott's Berry Farm official restaurant there as well. The rides are all very unique which was nice. A good variety: there are big roller coasters, fun car/buggy rides, tall drop rides, 3-D rides, etc. They also had tons of great candy stores too. As a sugar lover myself, I throughly enjoyed the candy bins & boysenberry snacks. Overall, a very fun place to spend the day. I stayed all day & can't wait to return again.

Reviewing for 2026 Knotts Scary Farm and the Boo-fet…read more First, the good: the scare actors were very much into their jobs. A ton of them were all over the park and each matched with their themed zone. The mazes were creative and the new Unearthed and Inked were visually stunning. Knotts always goes all out for Halloween with the decor and they nailed yet again. However, this is a 1-star review, so let's get to the bad. To start, their bag policy was very unclear. My bag was slightly larger than the allowed cell-phone size. Security sent me over to the lockers... and the lockers were unavailable. They open for use with the park, and I was there about 2 hours early for the Boo-fet. There were no exceptions for us, despite others entering the park with diaper bags. Back to the car it was. Next, the Boo-fet. The best part of the Boo-fet was the early entry. That made it all worth it, though you can buy early entry without doing the food. Speaking of the food, it was mostly not good. Probably nothing was cooked onsite or it was mainly Costco food heated up. Chatting with the scare actors was fun and entertaining, so that was one positive plus the early entry. Early access to the mazes was worth it. We got through four before the park opened and was totally mobbed. That's my next issue - the event was extremely oversold by several thousand people. Allegedly Knotts has a policy that teens must be accompanied by adults. I'm not sure what the required ratio is but if I had to guess by park demographics, there was maybe one 25+ adult for every 15 or so teenagers. The teens cut the lines and didn't pay attention when told they couldn't bring hats and bags on a rollercoaster. The ride lines were backed up largely due to dumb kids arguing with the attendants about riding an 80 mph coaster with their light up devil horns staying on. It was painful to watch/listen to. Teens also didn't seem able to handle the scare actors or mazes. Maybe everyone was pre-gaming with gummies or shrooms - I'm not here to judge - but many would scream bloody murder at every jump scare in a maze, or panic and bolt into other park goers. Getting your ankles kicked or heals stepped on by manic teens really took the fun out of the event. Next of course was the rides and attractions. I guess we not know why they're called Knotts. The lines will wrap up in the most creative knots of people management I've ever seen. Knotts will put up estimates wait times on signs outside of rides and then basically hide the actual line in a holding area or under the ride. Essentially it was false advertising. We got in line for the Hang Time rollercoaster with a 15 minute wait posted outside and stood in line for over 40 minutes. When we were finally on deck to ride, a pair of teens were allowed to take off their light up horns and bags, put them aside, and take our spot on the coaster. From the announcements, they should have been kicked off the ride and sent back to the lockers. The coaster ended up delayed by about 90 seconds, which a long time when the changeup should take no more than 30 seconds and the ride itself is about 25 seconds. We got our ride on Hang Time and it was great, one of the more fun rollercoasters I've been on. The vertical climb and hesitation at the top were incredible. So that's another positive. We went from Hang Time over to Xcelerator. Wait time was estimated to be 30 minutes. We stood in line for an hour and were so close to getting on the ride when... I guess it broke down. I have no idea, but later the lights were off and it was blocked off. Knotts staff didn't communicate at all. We were probably 3rd in line for the ride when it stopped and wouldn't move. People started leaving the line, us included, as sticking around for a broken coaster seemed crazy. But what a waste of time! We joined the line expecting no more than 30-40 minutes, stood there for an hour, and didn't get to ride at all. If you absolutely must experience Knotts, it seems the best/only way to do it now is the fast lane pass. It's extremely expensive and nearly doubles the admission price. So ultimately it's all about that cash. Knotts will oversell an event, not enforce their own rules, and create a frustrating night for everyone unwilling to shell out for extra perks. Not recommended at all.

Food is pretty typical amusement park pricing, and there's also a Starbucks and ice cream. Parking is free, which is a big plus. They also have picnic tables outside the entrance, and I believe the hand stamp they give you allows for same-day re-entry if you want to step out and come back. Overall it's a fun amusement park for the little ones!

Alright, I know what you're thinking "This looks like it belongs at the County Fair or local…read morecarnival. Why waste time standing in line at Knotts Berry Farm just to ride on this?" Well, I have an answer for you; it's carries the ambitious rating of 4 given to High Thrill Attractions, so OF COURSE I had to check it out with two of my favorite munchkins, ages 8 and 12, in tow. Their parents sacrificed joining us for the ride of our lives to stand in line at the Coaster 50's style diner just behind this attraction. Whatever. Their loss. This was actually the boys' idea to stand in line for this ride. They're both over the required 48" in height to ride so they didn't actually need me, other than to raise their enjoyment factor of course. I was willing to stand in line just to humor them, as this ride didn't really look like much at first glance. Then I saw the sign. You know, those warning signs that are stationed around the park at the entrances to those rides that are rated for their thrill factor along with listing a whole bunch of language limiting your right to sue the park if you possess one of their 'high-risk' medical conditions such as back pain, neck pain, heart conditions, pregnancy, or are recovering from recent surgery. Because the first thing I like to do when I'M recovering from major surgery is to go to an amusement park and ride all the most dangerous rides. Just saying; sometimes we just need to thin the herd out a little (TOTALLY KIDDING). The ride is a big circle with seats facing in both directions around the outside. The ride starts spinning around its central axis in a clockwise direction which mean, yes you called it, half the people are going to be spinning forwards and half are going to be spinning backwards. I sat next to the 8 year old at his insistence with the 12 year old facing us. There are signs that state clearly that the larger passenger must be seated on the outside edge of the car, but Lee wanted to sit on the outside and I allowed him to do so. Which lasted until the employee running the ride saw us and straightened us out. It's a good thing, too, because the centrifugal force smashed him into my side as the ride started spinning faster and faster and faster. It felt like he was crushing me and he is just a kid. And, of course, I was one of the LUCKY ones who got to ride backwards the whole way. WOOT WOOT! As the ride continues to rotate, the central axis lifts off the ground - not in a "Hey, now you're going around in a circle high in the air" sort or way but more of a "Now you're spinning like a Tasmanian devil AND going up and down as you go around. Hope you didn't want to keep that lunch down." This creates alternating feelings of weightlessness and crushing downward forces. It's NOT a ride I'd recommend doing right AFTER a large meal, but for us it was just perfect timing. The line wasn't horribly long and the boys' parents were just receiving the food and sitting down at a table when we returned. This ride gets 4 stars for being much more exciting than it looks. I don't usually review parks, but did this time because I knew that this beauty was not getting the flowers that it deserved. Stopped by yesterday evening for a 1.5-hour hot girl walk with a friend, and it checked all the usual boxes. Clean, well maintained, plenty of mature trees, and wide paths that make it easy to settle into a good conversation without constantly dodging people. It has that easygoing neighborhood feel that works just as well for a book club meetup, a picnic date, or a jog if you're in that 5k/marathon phase of your quarter life crisis like my friends are. An unexpected highlight for us was catching skytyping that was announcing Olivia Rodrigo's new album, "you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love," which is scheduled for release on June 12, 2026. We were craning our necks for a cool 20 minutes trying to figure out what the message meant and I didn't figure it out until looking it up on Reddit when I got home. Not exactly standard park entertainment, but definitely memorable. Also worth noting, right across the street we came across a full Zumba class happening in a small private studio. Apparently it runs every Thursday evening with a $7.00 cover. If you're into that kind of thing, it could be a fun way to switch things up. All in all, Pearson Park knocked it out of the (local) park. It was interesting enough for me to consider adding it to my future routine and will absolutely be coming back.
