    Sweet potato corn dogs

BoomDog just opened in the Glendale Galleria food court. It's a Korean corn dog street food brand from Rancho Cucamonga. The corn dogs are made to order. Choose your corndog (exterior: original, potato, sweet potato, Oreo, hot Cheetos, fried chicken, Takis), choose your filling (mozzarella, cheddar, hot dog), choose your sauce, choose to have or omit powdered sugar on top. Order at the counter and get a buzzer. The buzzer will go off when your order is ready. Sweet potato corn dog ($5.99 + $1 for mozzarella and hot dog) with cheese sauce and ketchup: This was a big corn dog studded with small pieces of sweet potato fries. The fries were cooked. The sweet potato fries were sweet, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The cheese was melted and stretchy. The nacho cheese sauce went surprisingly well with the corn dog. BoomDogs are more creative than Hot Dog on a Stick but also more expensive. HDOS offers two sticks for $7.99 in the same food court.

The restaurant was really clean and inviting, and the staff was nice and friendly. It was my first time and she was patient and answered all my questions. I finally went with the Sweet Potato with Mozzarella and Hot Dog with a sugar topping for $8.28 - not bad! It came out crunchy and had just the right amount of sweetness, but the cheese could have been more melted. It was a good size portion and definitely worth it. I would go back again to try the others- apparently top 3 are Hot Cheetos, Fried Chicken and Potato.

A great addition to the Glendale Galleria! I ordered a potato corn dog with beef sausage and coated with sugar. The ordering system is fairly straightforward. You select your coating and then select your filling. You can decide on sugar level (light, regular or no sugar). It sounds wild, but I recommend the regular sugar. The sweet/savory combo is what makes these special! My order was ready in less than five minutes and came in a super rad box. Sauces were served on the side. The potato corn dog was fried perfectly. Crispy, crunchy and soft on the inside. So delicious!

That alone deserves recognition because more and more KBBQ places are limiting that to 2 max per person. The host was attentive, service was quick, and we never had to wait long for anything. Well, minus the additional rice paper and radish dishes here and there nudging them to remind them for a refill. To end the meal, they include ice cream which doesn't happen often. If you ask nicely, they'll even let you get more. A great random find and can't wait to return.

Plenty of condiments, with ssamjang and garlic and their own sour sauce too. The meat comes out in huge slices and plates, and the meat is thinly slices and tender with our brisket and beef belly. The bulgogi is also cut in slices rather than strips, which I prefer. They were very attentive with ordering so you are comfortable throughout the meal. It's a nice and clean spot with window light and bar space. They have blinds as well, so you are comfortable however you want it. There were TVs showing sports, so it was very homely. This place felt like home away from home and I look forward to dining with them again!

I LOVE TOFU SOUP!!!…read more got the beef tofu soup and it was deliciousss. one of our group had burnt rice but the staff were quick to replace it. the spicy cucumber here is so good i ate like 2 plates honestly. i will say is that the spice scale isn't super accurate. i am pretty bad with spice so i got a mild and it was just ... alright... i feel like i was missing a lot of the flavor, not just heat level. my friends who got medium and spicy let me try their soups and they were way better and honestly not that much spicier. so i would say give a higher spice level a try if you want more flavor in your broth. we also ordered a bottle of soju to share and some of the spicy chicken. those were good too!

This place is basic, nothing fancy and there's really no ambiance or special feelings associated with it - it's just an old-looking sit-down and serve establishment. The few people sitting to eat were random; I was there to order to-go. After asking what was the patrons favorite dish(es) the lady quickly pointed out the most expensive items on the menu. Of course she did. My eyes rolled but I was polite and decided to order something I recognized and wouldn't hate myself for in the morning. Chicken Teriyaki Can of coke My bill came to $34.23 Ahem! What? Why does a plate of Chicken Teriyaki cost so much? And why $3 for a can of coke? I just cannot wrap my head around it. This isn't a fancy restaurant at all! In fact, it's as basic as it gets with no ambiance or warmth. I cannot recommend this place at all. The food was pretty poor and nowhere near on par with classy eats that try to reach that $$ figure. Montrose is certainly a place where there are people with money and no taste...looking for reasons to spend it willy-nilly. I thought I took a photo of the plate when I got home. Guess not. Avoid if you aren't made of money and prefer well-prepared meals, not quick, mushy fast-foodish stuff.
