This was my husband's and my first time coming here. We weren't sure what to expect at all. Waitress and cook had presented to us to allow us to come into the door that is not usually used. Both were very friendly and were quite hospitable. The cafe was very clean and inviting. We told thw waittress that we were ordering to go. The waitress continued smiling and told us that we could sit anywhere and offered us a menu to choose what we would like to order. We found a small booth and did sit there. The table was clean and secure. It was not rocking back and forth depending on who was putting thier hands and/or elbows on the table as were used to sitting on. Lol. I was impressed right away. The booth seats were clean of any food or spills and were all in one piece, without any cuts or foam peeking out or gouged out as one has seen in the past. Once we ordered, the waitress was busy cleaning near us and offered small talk occasionally. It was quite nice. She checked back with us as we waited for our hamburger and fries. She checked in and reassured us that the food was cooking and it would be ready "in just a little bit". A few seconds later, she brought us glasses of water with straws. How considerate and over the top of expectations one would have in waiting for our food! They made us feel as if we were family and was joining them for dinner that was still being prepared. It was a wonderful surprise that Rye bread was actually included with the Patty Melt. I know, I know. Rye bread is supposed to be the bread of choice for a Patty Melt. I agree, however, very rarely will a cafe or ressturant actually have rye on hand and will substitute it with a different type of bread, usually brioche. As this has been my personal experience, getting a properly made Patty Melt was quite exciting for me. It had been a very long time since I had one with Rye bread!. The bread was grilled perfectly, the onions grilled just right. They were grilled well but had a tiny crunch left in there so that one would be able to identify the onion being included in that bite. The cheese, oh that glorious melted cheese, was just the right amount, where you would get that cheesy pull but not too much where one would lose the taste and bite of the beef, onion and rye. It was truly an art of perfection! The fries were wonderful. They were crisp on the outside, yet the middle was soft and fluffy, just how you want a fry. The prices were reasonable, especially when you think of the amount that you are given and how good each morsel tastes! My husband and I will come back over and over again. I kind of hate to tell everyone how good Bella's Kitchen really is. I don't want to have to wait for my food! ; However, I was taught at a very early age that you should not hide the good things, those precious candles) in your life under the bushel, so I am beholden to tell everyone. Everything about Bella's Kitchen offers the guests that come there will be greeted and receive very high standards, beyond that of your expectations and certainly that of my experiences, of late. The place is so clean, it did remind me that I needed to mop and vacuum when I got home. When you get into the dining room, you will be greeted as a lifelong friend or that of a family member and receive wonderful food. The decision of coming here for your meal for yourself or with your family, will be one decision that you will make that day that will not be one of regret, I can promise you. Give this place a try. Food was hot . My order was wrong. I ordered the veggie omelette that comes with aside. I chose grits. What I got was a veggie burrito and they charged me almost 5 bucks for the side of grits. You're talking about 3/4 of a cup of grits. While the burrito was blazing hot, it really did not have any flavor at all. The great thing is that it seems to be just the owner cooking and then a waitress, and the food is cooked to order I believe. Mistakes happen so I'm not faulting anyone. I just ate the burrito any way without saying anything I would just never pay that much for a bowl of grits lol! Also, you don't get to see your ticket before you pay. You don't get that until you've swiped your card. I'm sure we'll come back and try the lunch items sometime.
