Today was first time ever at Booby's, went for the famous steak sandwich. It was great, coke slaw and fries very good. The only thing is the man taking order was not welcoming at all, especially when there for first time. My sister and niece were there too. My sister ordered turkey burger, she was not told if anything came with it. It would have been nice to know so she could have ordered a side at the time. I am never ordering from here again!! Multiple times it has taken over an hour for my food to be delivered! On top of that tonight I placed an order I waited an hour before getting ready to cal and see where it was. I open my door to go outside and the delivery driver left my food sitting on my porch didn't ring he bell nor call me to say he's here!!! How absolutely disgusting!!! Booby's had been recommended to me by a reliable coworker. My mom and I tried the 1/3 burger and we split a larger fry. Burger had all the normal extras. Cooked just fine. Bun was good. Fries were fine. The vibe however was interesting though. From the cashier (who looked jus like the Booby's icon) to the guy I asked for a small to-go container to the patron whom I accidentally took his seemingly vacant table from. (He had gone to the restroom and left napkins/silverware to hold his table. I thought they'd been left behind my a previous patron.) Sorry I didn't know you were in the restroom. Apparently Booby's and I are apparently very close to the same age and I know Booby's is known for their steak sandwiches however I really don't think I will be coming back to try that sandwich. I've had a few other sandwiches, but may main thing for going here is for two food items: the chicken rice soup and the steak sandwich. Its gotten a bit pricey over the years, but still a great sandwich - bloody or brunt to a crisp, with or without cheese, and a nice heap of fries with some BBQ sauce. Have it everytime I go there, and never bad. The soup is actually unremarkable, but I still love it here as it is reliable and hot. Baklava is the usual normal stuff they all get from one vendor, and probably like their decent gyros, but its all still good. Nice clean place, gets a bit crowded and close to the other strangers around you, but still okay when using the booths. read more

Absolutely the worst customer services ever .. We have been dining here for two decades the services has gotten ridiculous bad lately. The owners son who works there was extremely unprofessional and unappreciative especially given the crisis now he should be grateful people are wanting to dine with them. Called in for pickup - ordered spaghetti dinner with fries , 2 Greek salad and 2 famous steak meals - the caller replied we have no Italian bread " you want it on pita " I replied sorry they don't want it on pita. - I didn't want to keep him on the phone so I said sir can I call you back - I need to see if they want burgers instead - he replies " order now or don't call back " really horrible! we will never call back ! Booby's has a great big menu, which can accommodate any diet, picky eater, or craving. They are located right off of the main road so it's easy to get to, and there is usually ample parking. They offer carry out, which is nice for stopping by after work and bringing home to the family. The Greek salad is excellent, with a nice big helping of feta on top. The grilled cheese, though simple, is exactly how I would want a grilled cheese to taste. Their Italian beef is so good too. They offer desserts and shakes--I recommend a chocolate banana shake OMG SO GOOD! You can sit down and eat there, but it's a little cafeteria-like and uncomfortable. I always order take out, but the restaurant floor is always busy with people eating in. The people are pretty personable, and they get you through the line in a timely manner. They also accommodate special orders, such as I prefer they leave the anchovies off of the Greek salad. Never a problem. If you've been thinking of trying this place, DO IT. read more

Based on their food, I give this place a 3.5. But I rate them a 4 because I love the Booby's sign out front and have liked looking at it all my life. My uncles used to come here when they were younger (70's), and I have heard a lot about this place so one day the wife and I decided to stop by. They did a wonderful job remodeling the joint. The booths are clean, shapely and form fitting. The food is just like I remembered it. Booby's offers a wide variety of good old fashioned, American comfort food. I ordered their signature burger, the Big Boob. It's a generous heaping of meat fitted between the cleavage of two buns. For a side order, I went with the Cheddar fries. The fries were delicious mounds of juicy goodness. The cheese is served on the side in form fitting cup. The bottom line is, Booby's is the perfect place to stop for a quick bite to eat. The service is fast, the food is delicious. Booby's offers tasty food at a affordable price. Booby's is great fixture on Milwaukee Ave. In Niles. They have a large varied menu as any good Greek hot dog stand would have. They have a bountiful Greek salad. Their gyros are among the best in the neighborhood. The ribs are tender and tasty but the best is their house Cheeseburger that come with coleslaw and barbecue sauce on it. They deserve a negative 5 if possible. I loved eating here, but after what I experienced today they are not getting any business from me, my family or friends. I ordered through Grubhub and the driver that delivered my food (which works for them by the way) bought my food to my job. First off Grubhub pays these drivers to deliver the food. Secondly, they charged me a $3 delivery fee. Thirdly, the driver came into my job where my order was to be delivered and asked me to tip him I said I couldn't tip. All of this is in front of my coworkers. Not only did he threaten me that "he doesn't work that way" he took my food and drove off. Most embarrassing, horrible and disgraceful experience I've had at any restaurant I've ordered from. You guys really dropped the ball on this one. I love Booby's! Haha. But really, I do. I grew up very close to this fine establishment and have gone there several times over the years. Their steak sandwich, salads, chicken kabob dinner are just a few items I would recommend. Salads are always very fresh and made to order. You can see them working on them as you wait. The chicken kabob is my favorite and served with your choice of soup or salad and choice of potato--(baked, French fries).
