Visited Bonnie B's to grab some breakfast while working to town. This is a quaint/dated restaurant on a corner of Main Street in Greenfield, complete with a pet dog Nike". I am not very familiar with Greenfield, however, this section of Main Street has seen hard times. I ordered a Western omelette, which came with a single piece of toast. Home fries are extra. The omelette was good, but the prices were on the high side for what you get and the menu was limited. Service was friendly and attentive. Coffee was good. Small town diner feel-from the local advertisement placemats to the chair style...(vintage rattan) I happily spent $20 on a breakfast that will make me hibernate like a winter bear. Please be patient with the service-they're having staffing issues. I personally had excellent service from the one server who was zipping from table to table taking orders, delivering food plates and taking payments. The corned beef hash is real-like shredded corned beef the way it's supposed to be made-not the corned beef hash mush we're so used to seeing. This is like something out of a Julia Roberts movie. Bonnie B's is adorable, a perfect small town restaurant. It's on Main St (bring coins for the meters), and feels homey, as though you've wandered into someone's grandmother's kitchen. Our waitress was friendly and not pushy. The food was "Americana" at its finest - I loved the corned beef hash without it being overloaded with grease and extras. In the bathroom there's a different ceiling, so one must wonder what the original business was. The rumors in the other reviews are true, there is a dog! She is a service dog, and did visit the tables of people who seemed to know her. She was very quiet and honestly, adorable. read more

Yelp did me dirty with this one. With so many rave reviews, I decided to stop in. The place looked dirty and cluttered. No gluten free options. No dairy free milk for coffee. That would be fine, I kind of expect that at small, local diner-like spots... The problem was the woman's eye roll and head shake when I asked "do you have any dairy free milk?", like she was offended and annoyed by the question. Okay. My allergies annoy me too, pal. But here we are! It's 2021, y'all. You have to grow with the times or get left behind. Or at the very least, be polite about it. Another unexpected thing: there is a dog there that belongs to one of the employees/owner's(?). Not sure that's up to code. As a quick and lighter lunch, the grilled reuben sandwich with potato salad and cup of chili were filling for my husband and me to split. Everything was tasty as well. Small rustic diner. Pancakes were amazing. Sour dough toast was exceptional. Coffee was good for a diner. Not in the same league as a fancy coffee shop. The potatoes were ok. The omelette could have been great, but the egg was overdone for me. (Browned eggs = not ok). Probably a one off mistake. I expect they are usually better. Will come again. Open Thanksgiving day! The family and I went on a trip to Vermont and passed by this local gem during thanksgiving. You get an amazing small town feel when you enter this little town and to me, the best way to absorb the culture of the local town is to go to the local high reviewed spot on yelp. Yelp never disappoints! This dineresque location has all the goods to satisfy your usual diner fare. The staff is extremely friendly and does not mind having conversation with guests. We stopped by the local gravity hill about a mile away and our waiter was very insightful on it. Food was yummy, restaurant was clean. I also think they were serving lunch/dinner to the homeless that day too so kudos to them for spreading positivity to the world. If you are in the area, I highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I had more of an issue with the dog running around the food prep area and who would sneak over to a nearby table to look for food. Was told it is a service dog, but service dogs generally know how to stay in one area not play with boxes in prep area, not to go seeking food in areas not supposed to be, and not get underfoot with people walking back & forth. I'm reading some of these positive reviews and am shaking my head because I simply don't see it. Walked into this very brightly-painted, pastel-y coloured restaurant for lunch with friends. The tables are separated by clear plastic shower curtains hanging from the drop-ceiling. The waitress was prompt, friendly, and great. The restaurant's dog was very nice, too, but barked enough so that I felt the need to comment. (And should that be happening anyway? I love dogs so I don't really mind but ...) The food was absolutely mediocre at best across the dishes we purchased. No one in the party could describe the food with anything better than "mediocre" and most of the adjectives weren't that nice. read more

Stopped in this morning because it was open - it's early and we have to be on a tournament field shortly , not a lot open at this hour. Very, very happy we came. The place is cheerful, the staff friendly and the coffee and food really good. We ordered a variety- I had the special, omelette with spinach, feta and tomatoes, my delicious. The kids had a waffle, chocolate chip pancakes and eggs, they cleaned their plates. Our server was Jayden, she was great. Coffee refills as soon as she saw we were low, great suggestions and really sweet. The chef/cook came over to check on us as well, she was also very friendly and attentive. This is a unicorn to me. I've finally found a place for breakfast besides Cracker Barrel along this stretch of I-91. Less than a mile from the roundabout, this cozy little place has just what we are looking for: great homemade corned beef hash and excellent pancakes. We were on a road trip and decided to get off Route 91 for brunch. Based on the good reviews I read, we decided to try this place out. If you come here, have some quarters ready, as there are parking meters here. The place itself is pretty small, with only a few tables. I decided to get the filler up special that was 12$. For 12$ you get some eggs, potatoes, corned hash and some bacon. Honestly, this place is pricey in my opinion. The food was also BEYOND BLAND. The corned hash was awful. I would have added salt but the hash was already salty. The potatoes? Not a hint of flavor and undercooked. As I went to the bathroom, I noticed something that seems to be a northern New England thing... I noticed a woman chopping up a bunch of raw potatoes, kind of a bragging right to "home made" bragging rights. I also noticed an open package of store bought bagels. They charged almost 5$ for one of these bagels with some cream cheese for my oldest! In short this place was overpriced and bland. I honestly think Dunkin Donuts has better tasting breakfast food for half the price! read more

I really enjoyed this place when it was the Brass Buckle. Now it's just a diner. Bonnie seems super crotchety. The waitress seemed new and inexperienced. The food didn't make us sick which was good. My son said the waffle was good. The poached eggs were done fine. It's just very plain and no big deal. There is also a service dog there that kept licking the floor and eating droppings of food off the floor. To protect from covid shower curtains were hung around from the ceiling. It was strange.
