I came out this way to deliver three baby raccoons to a wildlife rehab, and decided to stop for brunch on the way home. Wow, I am so glad I did. There was a part of my brain that said hey just get the five dollar breakfast sandwich, but when I try a brunch place that's highly rated I am compelled to get the eggs Benedict. Because any brunch place worth their salt should have a really good eggs Benedict on the menu. Again, wow, I am so glad I ordered the eggs Benedict. This is the best eggs Benedict I have had in years. The hollandaise sauce was rich and smooth and absolutely delicious. They also gave me a choice of potatoes or salad, I took the potatoes because: breakfast potatoes! They were perfectly crispy and creamy. They also delivered a little pot of their house sauce, which was made of cilantro and mint, and a bunch of other things. I tend to avoid cilantro and mint foods. In the past, I have described eating cilantro as biting down on a piece of tinfoil, a sensation that says "run for your life!" overtime my reaction to cilantro has mellowed, and I don't really understand why. But? I ate every bit of that house sauce. I'm so glad I tried it, and tried it with the eggs, Benedict, because it added a perfect level acidity to cut through that richness, and really elevated the dish. Dream House was a quick stop for us, and I'm so glad we checked it out! The decor and overall vibe feel warm, creative, and welcoming to all kinds of people. We both ordered the Hannah, which came with housemade sausage patties and hollandaise sauce. The hollandaise was rich, buttery, and absolutely delicious. Also give the chai latte a try!! I love when a spot supports local artists and community events. They have a bar inside, a small outdoor covered porch area, cozy little artist corner, and tables spread throughout the space that make it feel comfortable and inviting. All staff was helpful and working together to making the whole experience run smoothly. The playlist was a 10/10 too. We stopped by DreamHouse while we were exploring Western MA and we were absolutely delighted. As someone with a few food allergies I'm normally very shy about eating new places just because I feel bad asking for accommodations. DreamHouse not only made it incredibly easy and exciting to order food I could have, they had plenty of options already on the menu. I really appreciate their celebration of their staff's creative work with a window setting at the front displaying different crafts. The vibe is warm, welcoming, loving, and sweet. We tried a few cocktails including the Bloody Mary, Tomato-tini, and Espresso Martini. All were perfectly balanced and delicious. The Vegan tacos were packed with flavor and really too good to shared and the they kindly made the Rabanadas gluten free which blew my mind and made my tummy really happy. I finally managed to get to Dreamhouse on a Friday morning. I've heard good things about the food. and it just took a while to get here. Anyhow, the place is in an old and renovated space, smallish, sort of intimate, clean and somewhat inviting. That being said, sound certainly travels, so it was quite easy to hear much of the conversation from a table a bit away from me. I would imagine on a crowded day, it could get noisy, but when I visited, it was less than half full. I ordered a latte and Eggs Benedict, which came with home fries. The latte was $6 and the meal was $20, before tax, of course. I'll get back to that later. The food is quite good. No dispute there. An easy four stars, and typically I would want to come back to try more. The home fries were sort of crunchy on the outside and soft inside for the most part. Nicely done. The eggs were cooked well, the ham tasted good, and the english muffin was better than many. Kudos. The Hollandaise was OK, and I would not be surprised if it wasn't home made, but that's not really a knock. It really was OK. The service was casual, perhaps overly so. Folks were friendly, but they all seem to have a nice camaraderie with each other and perhaps there is more of a focus on that, then on the customers. When I finished my latte, I would have ordered a cup of coffee as well, but they were kind of all in the corner and I couldn't even make eye contact. When I was done, in a not very busy moment in the cafe, it took a very long time for someone to come up and offer me the bill. Once again, nice people, but perhaps I caught them more unfocused than usual It happens, and this would absolutely not stop me from coming back. This place is a no-tip establishment and they add 20% as a service charge at the end instead. I support that, so once again...kudos! However, to be honest, when I first looked at the menu and saw the prices, I initially assumed that 20% was built in. Nope. My $6 latte was served in a small 6 oz cup, not a larger vessel. That's a lot to charge for that. My Benedict was priced 30% or higher than any other place to eat in the area, even in the larger area, and again my surprise was that this was before adding the 20% service charge. I don't want to say the place is over priced. That's in the eye of the beholder, I guess. Instead, though I enjoyed the food, I simply can't afford to eat here again. read more

I was admittedly nervous given the huge shoes that the Five-Eyed Fox (RIP!) left to fill, and the Dreamhouse is filling it. Phenomenal service, super cute inside and outside, killer soundtrack and kitchen action -- their housemade bread program is outstanding, and their bialy board was generous and incredibly tasty. Thank you for the big slices of heirloom tomatoes! And don't miss out on the rabanadas -- huge, plush slices of French toast with an amazing crunchy sugar coating and an aromatic citrus and cardamom situation. The Mt. I absolutely love Dreamhouse atmosphere. Very friendly and inviting. My wife and I came in last Saturday. She had scrambled eggs and lox. The lox were robust and tasty. I had the egg sandwich, no meat. While I love the brioche bun , the egg was lost in it. Bun is too big for just one egg. Too much bread.May I suggest a small bun? The brand of coffee they offer was not to my liking. If I didn't know better, I'd thought it was left over. Super bitter. When I mentioned this to our waiter, he apologized, then got me another cup from the same pot. I don't know what the point of that was. My wife and I were the first ones in the restaurant that morning. The waiter was very pleasant as he sat us at our table, however he, along with other employees, spent time welcoming and greeting what I believe must have been regulars/friends while ignoring us. That's all fine and dandy except the restaurant adds in the tip and I'm given no option to tip according to the service we received. Pleasant surprise at this quirky little cafe. Food was top notch: full of flavor, fresh, and a good selection on the menu. I love it when the food is healthy AND tastes delicious so it doesn't feel like a compromise. Hubby and I had herb omelette with Brie which was delicious, and the veggie burger which surpassed most others I've had. Friendly staff made it even more memorable.
