Some of the best pancakes I've ever had. Great flavor and not undercooked and overly thick, yet not thin either. Friendly service.

I'd say 4.5 stars actually. We had stopped down the road for food but didn't feel like not being able to study the menu while sitting so got on Yelp and made our way here. Super quiet at 11 or so on a Sun morning. Seating for about 30, we grabbed the table in the sunny window and looked over the short menu while a man was playing well known songs on guitar. Kinda odd but whatever. The guy working was super nice and our food was great. A western omelette was a special served only w toast so we got the side of excellent home fries for $3.50. The Yelp cover photo of the pancakes was one of the things that drew us in and the short stack didn't disappoint (~$6). I don't have such great luck with them but these hit the spot. I'm not sure what brings people to Millers Falls but yummy food here. read more

we waited over an hour for food & ultimately had to take it to go. it was even difficult to pay the bill. no excuse for this.

Do not ever dine here. We were one of two tables and we spent 95 minutes waiting on an order to go that was paid for in advance. The order was wrong. We got no apologies. The server was a zombie. The man was flippant. Do yourself a gigantic favor and just don't. Gross. FYI this was literally eggs. 90 minutes for eggs. This place needs to close. read more

Saw the Montague Reporter article and checked it out. I'm always looking to patronize small businesses, especially a cafe. And it's the only game in Miller's Falls. Went in for a Saturday breakfast. The good: Quaint and very welcoming. Good menu. If you're lucky, you'll meet "the mayor", a very friendly little boy who regularly visits the store. Real maple syrup for pancakes. The okay: Outside of establishment could use a coat of paint. Place doesn't catch your eye from the street. Hard to read name written on front window. Easy enough to rectify. The not so okay: Being a cafe, I thought I could expect freshly made drinks? Not so much. Coffee from carafes. Orange juice in a small plastic container like you'd get at a food cart, no glass offered. Maybe the service? Our waitress seemed preoccupied, as we had to ask for a few items we initially ordered. Maybe the food? Our pancakes were almost tasteless. They were freshly made, not out of a box, but bland without maple syrup. We left uninspired to return. read more

We waited 35 mins after ordering breakfast. We decided to leave. Felt bad about the food going to waste but it felt like a matter of principle. The owner or manager was eating while the poor waitress ran around trying to help all her tables. After we left, the owner or manager had the audacity to come outside and ask if we wanted our food wrapped up, and did not apologize. This is my favorite spot to get breakfast. The atmosphere and the people who work there are very down to earth. The food is great and affordable. What more could you ask for? I stopped in on my way out of town. I am so glad that this place opened up in Millers. It is great to have them, and worth the drive over to check them out. The cherry turnover looked amazing! I had a coffee and sandwich since I needed savory, I had to pass on the sweets, thought they looked tempting. They were so nice. The other customers were also nice. It is a really cute spot. A couple people recommended the Whistle Stop just this week, and then a friend asked if I'd ever been, so we went together today. We had a great breakfast, reasonably priced quality food. There's nothing else in Miller's for breakfast, but the fact that they're open early and a pleasant place to go makes it worth driving to anyway. We're always up early and it's tough to find a good local breakfast place that is open by 7am these days. I had an omelette and my friends had breakfast burritos and we all ate everything on our plates. I'll definitely be back to try lunch - and I saw they have gelato! - but also really love a place that has a good breakfast all day! read more

This was a quaint spot. There's about three booths, two table and three spaces at the window for seating, so it's not a big place. The woman (who I assume is the owner) was very nice! For all my coffee lovers, they have organic beans that they grind there along with espressos and other coffee beverages. I ordered the egg & cheese w/bacon on an English muffin and it was perfect! If you like food that's filling and doesn't make you feel heavy, try this place out! read more

The Whistle Stop in Millers is a brand-new cafe with a friendly, small-town atmosphere. The decor is pleasant and includes art for sale by local artists. The menu has a limited selection of a few breakfast and lunch items plus a small bakery case, but the food we had (pancakes, bacon, home fries) was well-prepared and delivered promptly. While we were there, there was a fairly steady stream of customers, so the place seems to be getting a following already. We definitely plan to visit again. read more
