Hidden gem of a restaraunt. Very good pizza, GREAT covered back porch that overlooks the mountain. Owner and staff are the absolute nicest people. Dog friendly.

Excellent pizza and great service. So good we came here twice in one day! My son said it's the best pizza he's ever had.

Great service! Stopped in on our way through town. Homemade chips and pizza hit the spot. The owner was welcoming and made sure we had everything we needed. The kids loved getting creative with the crayons and paper provided. We will stop again!

A hidden gem of homemade food and local hospitality with a smile. Looking forward to stopping in again during the foliage. Thanks, Greg!

Had my eye on this place for a while and we decided that a snowy Sunday was the perfect time to…read morehead out this way. This brewery is perched on the side of a mountain with one of the best views of the valley below. For a travel day during the winter travel season it was busy but not overly full. The place is cash only which is posted and they have an atm in the front room for ease. The mountain rustic decor matches the place and area. There was counter service for food and drinks. They had both canned cocktails, wine and locally made beers to sample. The beer selection is great if you like IPA's. We ordered two pizzas and both came out quickly from their in room wood fired oven and were absolutely delicious. Definitely worth a stop if you're traveling near by or during leaf peeping season

Yet another brewery my wife and I visited and were glad we came here! Some other family also came…read morewith us and everyone was happy with our experience. Firstly I will say they did have a sign saying cash only, but do have an ATM for those without any. It is also a place you sit yourself and then order at the bar. It is located at an absolutely beautiful scenic view and they do have some outside seating so you can have a brew and pizza with a nice view! Beer wise I enjoyed their All Day Drinker and it was a light and crushable brew with more malt than hops shining through. My wife got their lemon drop sour which was refreshing with a hint of tartness. They also had a cider as well as some IPAs and non-alcoholic options too. Pizza wise they had a good variety of options including some not so traditional choices. The prices ranged from cheese being $20 and going up to $25 for the most. Those not interested in pizza are out of luck unless the one salad sounds good to them though I will say. Since we had 6 people in our group we ended up choosing 4 different pizzas. Our selections were Meatiator (think meat lovers), Potato Pie (mashed potatoes, bacon, sour cream, etc), Honey Apple Pie (honey, apple slices, cheeses, bacon, ricotta, basil), and lastly Okie Dokie Artichoke (garlic oil, lemon marinated artichoke hearts, roasted red peppers, sausage, cheese, and red pepper flakes). It gave us a really good variety and like I said above our whole party enjoyed the pizzas. Had a great cook to it, with lots of toppings that packed in lots of flavor. The Okie Dokie may have been the crowd favorite while the Honey Apple Pie was the most surprising flavor. Leaned towards sweet with the honey and apples but wasn't quite dessert pizza. Great spot to come for a pizza and beer/drink while also taking in the nearby view!

Red Apple Farm has always had a number of food options for those of us who need a hearty meal after…read morethe fun of apple picking. I was delighted to discover that their food options have expanded with two food trucks outside the Brew Barn -- one being TimberFire. The enticing waft of wood smoke from the brick pizza oven in the back -- mounted on a cart for transportation! -- immediately piqued my interest. But it was the chalkboard sign announcing that gluten free and vegan options were available that made me jump in line (and jump for joy). That magical combo of GF crust and dairy free cheese is still not that common, and it's even harder to find ones that taste good. Since I have a gluten sensitivity and am allergic to many forms of dairy, I was intrigued to try. The Tall Man and I each ordered one of the specials, The Fungus Among Us, which features mushrooms (of course), caramelized onions, and garlic cream sauce. He got the full gluten and dairy experience (aka refused to share in my limitations), while I got mine on GF crust and vegan cheese. In lieu of the sauce and their other alternatives (I also can't eat much tomato, and their pesto has parmesan), I suggested straight up olive oil to stick it all together. I was already holding up the line with my multiple questions, but they were very friendly and were happy to answer while busily stretching dough and checking on pizzas in the oven. 20 minutes later, we picked up our pies plus one for friends. (Unlike the Brew Barn, which will text you when your food is done, TimberFire calls out names so you have to stick close by.) Verdict? Delicious, especially straight from the oven on a chilly fall day! They used a premade GF crust, but one that had a pretty good crispy texture when fresh. Vegan cheese was all melty and creamy, so I didn't miss the sauce at all. The mushrooms were fantastic and generous. The Tall Man really liked his version of the pizza, reporting the sauce to be clutch. Our friends' Fresh to Death (aka margarita) pizza was pretty good, maybe not as wow-ing but satisfying both adults and children. I was quite happy with my pizza's flavor, but wish it were larger for the price ($18 per pie), with the GF one being smaller (10"?) than the hand stretched counterparts. They're closer in size to a medium pizza elsewhere. The Tall Man easily finished his whole pie in one go, while I ate half and saved the rest for leftovers. So expect a pricier lunch for 1-2 people per pie, or mix and match with other food options if you plan to share. Thank you for delivering a tasty GF DF experience!
