Stopped by at around 8:30 PM for some later night takeout snacking: Spicy Cold Rice Noodle - chewy rice noodles with crunchy bean sprouts, shredded cucumber, and fried bean curd. With hot sauce, sesame and peanut sauce. Probably not everyone's cup of tea, but it you like this kind of dish, this version will satisfy that craving. Pork Burger - it's a little unfair because the only other time I have had this was in Taiwan which was probably close to the pinnacle of what this dish could be. That being said, even without the Taiwan reference point, this dish falls flat primarily due to the bread. The inside texture of the bun is like a non-porous English muffin. The outside had no toastiness/char to it. It's always a little perplexing to see the signature dish of a restaurant have no "wow" factor. Maybe we caught them at a bad time when they were near closing.

Braised Pork Rice Bowl / 卤肉饭

Wanted a quick dinner before heading tot he game at Cap1 Arena. Saw this and had to stop by since I saw they had Chinese Burgers. The Food: Went with the Braised Pork Rice Bowl and the Pork Burger. The rice bowl was delicious. The braised pork was very tender and flavorful. Paired with the rice, onions and the additional chili oil really hit the spot. The Pork Burger was good too, the only thing was the "buns" itself was a little dry/hard for my liking. But the filling was PACKED and delicious. They are pretty generous with their portions here. I love it. The Service: Food came out in a timely manner. Staff were kind and friendly. No complaints at all. The Atmosphere: Plenty of seating inside. Order at the kiosk makes it easy and simple. Pretty spacious and clean inside too! Overall, a solid 4/5. Food was pretty good and the price was fair. I'd definitely come back again.

Stopped by here for a quick dinner before an event at the Arena. Turned out to be not so quick because of the amount of orders going out and people trying to get to the same event. Ordering was easy through the kiosk. Ordered Shrimp Shu Mai, BBQ Pork Bao, Pepper Cucumber Salad, Crystal Shrimp Dumplings, Piglet Buns, Traditional Pork Burger, Soup Dumplings, Sea Salt Coffee, and Passion Green Tea. Took a while to come out but again they were slammed due to the event. The shu mai, crystal shrimp, bbq pork bao, and soup dumplings were steamed on the spot, very hot but all pretty solid. The soup dumplings did burst easily though. The cucumber salad was really good. The burger was very filling and had a good amount of spice. The drinks weren't too bad, not too sweet and you can control the sugar. Overall, great spot to stop by especially if you're going to something at the arena.

Spicy pork wontons

I was craving comfort food in Chinatown and Bonker's hits the spot. I ordered the Spicy Pork Wontons and the Pickled Cabbage Beef Soup . The wontons were definitely the star of the show! Next time, I'd get the Braised Beef Soup (minus the pickled cabbage). I just needed a few extra veggies that day. Ordering was quick and easy, and they've got a full lineup of bubble teas to pair with your meal... think creamy matcha, brown sugar milk tea, and fruity options for a sweet finish

Soup dumplings. Spicy wontons. I'm in heaven. Super easy to order, the food came out really quickly and it is HOT and FRESH. The bao was good but not my favorite but man those dumpling were stellar.

Almost self serving place, very good Chinese Burger, crispy and saucy, especially for the braised meat burger. We ordered a lot here, giving everything is good and authentic, beef noodle, spicy noodle, dumplings, fried pork and chicken. Cleaning table can be emptied more frequently. Left overs longer time can start to have unpleasant effects.

Quick service for eating in or takeout. They have rice bowls, noodle soups and a variety of wontons. I opted for a bowl of spicy wontons and cucumber salad. Both portions were good for the price. Total come out to just under $16.00 The filling of the spicy wontons were maybe a bit dry but the spicy sauce was slightly tingling and good. The cucumbers were fresh and tasty with ciltrano, chopped chilies and a bit sweet.

We only tried the Chinese hamburger. The hamburger was crispy filled with real beef slices, loaded with cilantro, peppers and onions. Self service fast food venue, we ordered on a computer, selected our choices of toppings. Simple and easy. Great place for a quick meal.

Was in the area and was looking for something good to eat. I saw the spicy wonton soup picture on my feed and I said to myself, "I gotta have it. That's what I want!" Best decision EVER. Was so so good. I wish I had more wontons so that I could figure out what spices I was tasting. Worth having my mouth on fire

Delicious and well priced Chinese food!! The pork burger was so moist and delicious. Tender marinated pork, cilantro, onions all with a soft plump bao bun. Love how there are so many food options here! Definitely will come back if i'm in the area. Food comes out super fast. Limited seating buts its chill - fast casual vibe.

This no-frills restaurant offers good food! Staying at a nearby hotel, I wanted to grab a quick dinner. I came across this place searching the internet. While known for its "burgers", I went for the Chili Cucumber Salad and the Braised Beef Noodles. The cucumber salad had good flavor, though the chili in it wasn't quite so hot. The noodles were really good! The texture of the noodles was perfect and the broth was delicious... Service was fast and efficient and seating was ample. This seems to be more of a delivery type spot, but I'd recommend dining in because the food was great served fresh!

Really yummy place for some casual bites! The beef burger wasn't the juiciest and tasted like your typical soy marinated beef. I would recommend the pork which was less dry. I wasn't a big fan of the texture of the cold noodles but the sauce with peanuts was delicious and refreshing as a whole. Chili wontons were pretty standard and the oil didn't feel too heavy. Thoroughly enjoyed my meal and next time I'd try their handmade dumplings. Also, i tried their boba and the bubbles were the perfect texture, i prefer a chewier bite!

This was my first time trying this place and I must say, it was really good. I give it an A++. Service was superb and food was amazing too. The restaurant was a little small but worth the hole in the wall in feel. Bubble tea was delish, too! I'd go here again :D. Thank you, BCB

If a place delivers strong execution, quality flavors, and exceeds expectations for what it is trying to be, that earns a top rating from me. Chili Wok did exactly that. We recently visited Alexandria and had an excellent meal from start to finish. Everything we ordered was flavorful, well prepared, and arrived tasting fresh and intentional. The soup dumplings were a standout. The wrappers held together nicely, the filling was savory and juicy, and each bite had that satisfying burst of broth you hope for when ordering them. The fried rice was also very well done. It had great wok flavor, proper texture, and did not feel greasy or heavy, which is where many places miss the mark. The sweet and sour ribs were another highlight. They had a great balance of sweetness and tang, with tender meat and enough texture to keep them interesting. A dish that can sometimes feel one note was handled really well here. Beyond the food, the overall experience was strong. When every dish lands and nothing disappoints, that says a lot about the consistency of the kitchen. Overall, Chili Wok delivered exactly what I hope for in this category: flavorful food, solid technique, and an enjoyable dining experience. Easy 5 stars, and I would gladly return.

I ordered the Singapore noodles, which were packed with flavor and loaded with beef, chicken, and shrimp. The portion was so big that it honestly could be split between two people. I barely put a dent in it while I was there and ended up taking most of it home and eating off it for a while afterward. But the real showstopper is the bottomless drinks. For $18, you get bottomless Mai Tais, lemon drops, and mimosas, and the best part is they do it all day, not just during brunch hours. You can pull up at 7 p.m., get dinner, and still do bottomless drinks, which is something you don't see very often. Between the massive portions, the flavor, and the all-day bottomless option, Han Palace is an easy five out of five for me. If you're in DC and haven't been here yet, this is a must-go spot.
