New Dynasty is a great Chinese food spot on P St (Dupont). Since 1992, they've offered authentic and delicious food. I'm always looking for quick spots to grab food, and really enjoyed their veggie lo mein. The service was great, and the manager was very kind. A cute place to come on a date or with friends.

Such a great fast food Chinese spot. It's a small location super casual just a great location to get some Chinese food to go. They do have indoor seating if you'd like to eat there. Various menu options it was hard to choose what we wanted for dinner. Everything on the menu sounded delicious but we went with the more popular basic options since you can't go wrong with lomein and fried rice. We used our student discounts and received complimentary won ton soups, bring your student ID and they will give you the option of a free soup or soda. Complimentary white rice also came with our order. The workers were so nice here and there recommendations did not disappoint. Every dish here was full of flavor and of good quality. Tip: If you enjoy spicy ask for their chili oil sauce it has a great kick!

Ordered my food at 12:08pm, food was done at 12:11pm. First red flag but didn't notice it until I got to the corner and thought about it. I got back to work and started to eat and the food taste bland and old. Shrimp was very chewy and the sauce had no flavor even though I asked for it to be spicy. Even the fried rice was bland and clumpy. Maybe it was left over from yesterday. But will not be going back there.

New Dynasty is a hybrid Halal Chinese/pan-Asian restaurant in the heart of DC right off of DuPont circle. The restaurant is small and cozy, with classic Asian dishes and combos made up of shrimp, chicken, beef or vegetables with rice or lo mein noodles. They also have a variety of special dishes available to order! I tried the chicken lo mein and an order of general tso's chicken. The chicken lo mein was wonderful! The noodles were deliciously elastic, the chicken was tender, the vegetable mix was well-seasoned and everything was generally very good. The tso chicken sauce was nice too!

I used to be a regular at New Dynasty whenever I needed my American Chinese food fix (blame a suburban childhood lol), but in recent years they have raised their prices and, unless I'm imagining it, reduced their portion size. While I don't blame them necessarily, as this may be a response to higher operating costs, this turned me off and drove me to seek out other options. The food is totally fine and the atmosphere is as you would expect for a hole in the wall place, but I have personally turned to other venues.

Not a homerun. The menu was a bit limited, the seating was folding tables and chairs. The king pao chicken was fine, didn't expect it to be served in plastic takeout trays. It was basically non-chain Panda Express... fine... but not really more than fine.

If you like Chinese takeout, Dupont Circle's new Dynasty does a good job. When my family of three did a staycation at a nearby hotel, we ordered pick up via Uber Eats and it was ready within 15 minutes of ordering on a Friday evening. To feed the three of us, we ordered wonton soup, Mongolian Beef, General Tsao's Chicken and Orange Chicken. The three main dishes came with steamed rice. Each was tasty, but the winner was the General Tsao's Chicken. The Mongolian Beef was good, but it was mainly onions with little beef. Service was friendly and prices decent for an expensive city like Washington, D.C.

Ordered takeout from this restaurant and it is pretty affordable. It was my first time trying true blue Americanized Chinese food and I was genuinely surprised to see a Chinese family whipping up such dishes. These are comfort food and although they differ vastly from the authentic Asian food I ate whilst growing up, it is still a good introduction to Chinese American food, and an apt choice for those looking for affordable, casual, and no frills dining in the area.

We got takeout from here to bring into the board room. We wouldn't recommend dining in as the seating was very sparse. We got dumplings and fried rice, which were both about average quality for Chinese takeout. Tasty enough but nothing special. Brunch review ahead!!!!!…read more Ambiance- perfect for a cute date, time with friends, family members, or coworkers. The ambiance welcomes it all. Hospitality- The hostess was incredibly friendly and seated us upon arrival. Waiter- Eric was an AMAZING waiter. Bubbly personality, very polite and personable. His service was definitely a 10/10 Brunch- My friend and I decided to try their Easter Sunday brunch and my only regret was not visiting here sooner and not selecting an earlier time to dine, LOL! The entire experience was phenomenal! Bottomless mimosas- SO worth the extra $ Standout dishes: Adana meatballs Braised lamb Chicken Golden cauliflower Crispy Falafel Desserts: Baklava Brownie Kadayıf Sadly we did not get to experience all of the brunch menu items because brunch ends at 3pm and our reservations were at the heel of this time. Nonetheless, the standout dishes and desserts were enough for me to come back. I've enjoyed their happy hour, cafe area, and now their brunch. Can't wait to return.

Was warmly greeted, seated, and given an overview of the menu and brunch package options; decided to opt-out of the bottomless drinks, which had an alcoholic (mimosas and Bloody Marys) and NA (juices, sodas, drip coffee and black tea), as I wanted to try their more speciality coffee and tea. The drinks I ordered were the Turkish coffee, Levantine-style tea and digestive tea. All were quite solid. The Turkish coffee was as robust as espresso, yet not overwhelmingly bitter and slightly sweetened. The Levantine tea was a smooth black tea with natural sweetness and layered with a mint steep and floral notes of hibiscus, and rose petal. The digestive was more herbaceous with fennel and pomegranate zest, in addition to a steep of spearmint. The food was more hit-or-miss. On one hand, the meat and seafood was all very delicious and well-made. The braised lamb shank is their speciality, and well-deserved, as it's moist, savory and tender. The short rib similarly so, and the chicken casserole, lamb biajeen, Adana kebab and steamed lavraki (sea bass) were all similarly flavorful. On the other hand, the sides and mezze options were more mixed; the dolmas and fresh cheese with za'atar/nuts were quality, however, the borek, cheeses, and some of the dips tasted reheated and/or not super fresh, the Brussels sprouts were rather scorched, and the savory waffles were bone dry and flavorless. The French onion soup had the right flavor profile, but not the necessary potency; it tasted watered-down and even looked it, due to the noticeable oil blebs on the surface. Dessert was similar; the melon and fruits were fresh enough, the yogurt bar was quality, the kadayif nutty with the sweetness balanced, and the layali lubnan was intoxicatingly tasty, but many of the baked goods looked rather packaged and the fondue station was mediocre. The staff, however, were extremely friendly (my special regards to Mia, she's a great conversationalist and a sweetheart!). They answered all my questions, and one of the bartenders even gave me half a lemon to zuzh up my tea with. As I said at the start, more 3.5 stars than 3 stars. The core of their offerings are all quality, so I can't quite dock them a full two stars for the food quality because they had buffets aren't usually renown for said quality. You really can't expect perfection from AYCE, even though I naturally encourage the management to avoid sourcing pre-made items from Sysco if possible. The friendly staff and eloquent Eastern Mediterranean ambiance allows me to still say I enjoyed this experience, and may be back for dinner in the future.

I do think this review could be beneficial for others with a number of severe food allergies, but I want to be clear about how the restaurant tried to rectify the situation because my bad experience wouldn't necessarily reflect the experience of others. The reservation site requires you to input any allergies ahead of time so that they can accommodate you. I've used this many times before at other restaurants and never had an issue. In my experience, restaurants will be prepared with the allergy ticket at arrival. I have also eaten at numerous Indian restaurants before without issue, and I had a friend with me who had suggested this place because Indian restaurants are usually accommodating, in their experience. When I sat down at our table and mentioned my allergies, the waiter immediately said that I chose the wrong restaurant. This struck me as quite rude, and I was shocked because I have eaten at so many restaurants in my life and have never been told that. It left a bad taste in my mouth, but we continued to try to work something out. They were unaware of my allergens, so they went to print the allergen ticket and discuss with the chef. When they returned, they pointed to 2 items on the menu. Both of those had my worst allergens in them. At this point I was starting to get concerned for my safety if I were to eat what they prepared. After identifying those allergens on the pre-written reservation ticket, they spoke with the chef again and said they could make a dish from scratch. To be fair, they were doing their due diligence to rectify the issue, however, at this point I was concerned about the attitude toward my allergies and their mistake in suggesting what would be safe to eat. We decided to leave and went to Chef Geoff's down the street. I recommend you compare my experiences at these two restaurants if you have food allergies. Overall I was honestly shocked and mortified because I have never had an issue like this at any restaurant in my entire allergy-ridden life.
