Ordered their Paneer Gotala and Samosa Roll. Both were yummy with comforting Indian taste. Was happy to see they had special customizable option for Jain on uber eats while ordering.

Tandoori chicken with rice

I recently went here for a weekday lunch and got the tandoori chicken with rice to go. The portion size and price were reasonable for downtown DC. Despite the restaurant being fairly quiet, it took a while for my food to arrive. The chicken was charred to black in some places; otherwise it was juicy, well-seasoned, and well-cooked. The chicken-to-rice ratio was fantastic, with lots of chicken and not too much rice. The rice was perfectly cooked, and the lime and onions added freshness to the dish. I would recommend Eggholic for a work lunch.

You're hearing it from a Mumbai-born Indian with picky tastes! This place is spectacular! The service was superb, the staff were so nice and friendly, and there was ample seating. Huge menu selection with all kinds of flavors and tastes for an array of palates. You can make the food Indian spicy or keep it mild. The food is absolutely mindblowingly delicious--flavorful, unique, fresh ingredients, and generous portions for the price and location. They have an app and you get $10 off during your birthday month. Earn rewards, eat often! Opened just three weeks ago. I hope they have a long future here in downtown DC. This is my new go-to spot! I'll definitely be back to try one of their many items.

Chicken Butter Masala, Bread, Rice

Overall the restaurant was very clean especially the bathroom given being located in DC. However the food was mediocre at best but the concept of the restaurant is very unique. I really liked the egg theme of the menu but the delivery was a bit of a miss. I ordered the butter masala chicken for $18 and given the price you would think it comes with rice or bread but it did not, I had to order those items additionally (Heads up: the bread is plain white bread) The food was a bit tasteless and bland. One of my friends got the chicken masala sandwich which was notably better. Given the unique concept of the restaurant I would greatly appreciate a bit of explanation from the staff on how to order.

Eggholic is a nice addition to DC serving traditional Indian street food as well as some Indian classics of paneer, vegetarian and chicken curries Id say Eggholic is more of a lunch spot and recommend sticking to the street food specialties rather than the regular curries, though they are pretty decent if that's what you are craving. Bombay style vegetable sandwich was great, highly recommend The masala papad was mid, skip this

EggHolic is hands down the best restaurant that I've tried in DC all year. It's an Indian restaurant that serves mostly vegetarian food, but also has meat options, which I believe is halal. We got two types of grilled cheese sandwiches and they were perfect in every way. The flavor and seasoning was legendary, the texture was perfect, and the service was great, all at a reasonable price too. I plan on coming back here many more times.

Outstanding food. Their thali is flavorful. All the curries are well made. You can tell they put a lot of care in the details in seeing how finely shredded the paneer is in the curry or the bite sized pieces of boiled egg. Highly recommend!

Good spot for a quick bite! Got the chicken tikka wrap and it was pretty good. The real star of the show was the mango lassi - get that!!

Despite request low or no spice, the food was doused in spice and oil and was practically inedible. Never again

Brunch review ahead!!!!!…read more Ambiance- perfect for a cute date, time with friends, family members, or coworkers. The ambiance welcomes it all. Hospitality- The hostess was incredibly friendly and seated us upon arrival. Waiter- Eric was an AMAZING waiter. Bubbly personality, very polite and personable. His service was definitely a 10/10 Brunch- My friend and I decided to try their Easter Sunday brunch and my only regret was not visiting here sooner and not selecting an earlier time to dine, LOL! The entire experience was phenomenal! Bottomless mimosas- SO worth the extra $ Standout dishes: Adana meatballs Braised lamb Chicken Golden cauliflower Crispy Falafel Desserts: Baklava Brownie Kadayıf Sadly we did not get to experience all of the brunch menu items because brunch ends at 3pm and our reservations were at the heel of this time. Nonetheless, the standout dishes and desserts were enough for me to come back. I've enjoyed their happy hour, cafe area, and now their brunch. Can't wait to return.

We came to dinner not overly hungry, so we opted to do a bunch of cold and hot mezze plates - ended up ordering the baba ganoush, duck prosciutto (2 plates because we were so excited about it), salmon kibbeh nayah, tawook shish chicken kebab, and golden cauliflower. Overall, our picks were solid. The duck prosciutto had a nice crunch with the chip(?) underneath and very interesting, lovely salad base and vinaigrette. Can't go wrong with the golden cauliflower with its yummy sauce and pomegranate seeds. Salmon kibbeh was my least favorite but perhaps I'm just not used to the texture/taste of bulghur wheat.. the salmon itself was great tho! I've heard lots of good things about brunch so I would come back for that, and/or try the short ribs or branzino if I'm back in the area for dinner!

I do think this review could be beneficial for others with a number of severe food allergies, but I want to be clear about how the restaurant tried to rectify the situation because my bad experience wouldn't necessarily reflect the experience of others. The reservation site requires you to input any allergies ahead of time so that they can accommodate you. I've used this many times before at other restaurants and never had an issue. In my experience, restaurants will be prepared with the allergy ticket at arrival. I have also eaten at numerous Indian restaurants before without issue, and I had a friend with me who had suggested this place because Indian restaurants are usually accommodating, in their experience. When I sat down at our table and mentioned my allergies, the waiter immediately said that I chose the wrong restaurant. This struck me as quite rude, and I was shocked because I have eaten at so many restaurants in my life and have never been told that. It left a bad taste in my mouth, but we continued to try to work something out. They were unaware of my allergens, so they went to print the allergen ticket and discuss with the chef. When they returned, they pointed to 2 items on the menu. Both of those had my worst allergens in them. At this point I was starting to get concerned for my safety if I were to eat what they prepared. After identifying those allergens on the pre-written reservation ticket, they spoke with the chef again and said they could make a dish from scratch. To be fair, they were doing their due diligence to rectify the issue, however, at this point I was concerned about the attitude toward my allergies and their mistake in suggesting what would be safe to eat. We decided to leave and went to Chef Geoff's down the street. I recommend you compare my experiences at these two restaurants if you have food allergies. Overall I was honestly shocked and mortified because I have never had an issue like this at any restaurant in my entire allergy-ridden life.

I decided to get a noodle bowl with steak and a bunch of veggies. I do like they had a sauce bar so I was able to get multiple sauces to go! I also grabbed some of their free miso soup to go as well. When I got home I ate my foods. There was barely any meat and mostly the extra ingredients. Def. Needed more sauce (I did a mix of yum yum and teriyaki) but luckily I grabbed more! Overall meal was good but wasn't mind blowing. Might have been when I went and the food was sitting out for a couple of hours. Who knows. The miso soup was terrible and tasteless. Couldn't eat it and threw it away (would not recommend). Maybe if I ate there during lunch or dinner time it would have been better other than that it's just average :/

It doesn't seem to be anything different from its competitors--but that's where I was wrong. The random bowl of food I ordered was quite delicious. The purple rice, sesame kale, kimche, savory potatoes, seasoned steak and other goodies I selected without much thought turned out to be a terrific meal. There are several sauces available for topping/dipping. The cucumber-wasabi, teriyaki and Korean red are noteworthy. Plus the free, hot miso soup is a nice touch. For $10, this is a good value for lunch or dinner.
