I was in town for a work conference and I love Thai food. This place popped up on my maps with a good review. The food was delicious with just the right amount of spice. I got the green curry and my coworker got drunken noodles. Again they both had great spice. I also got some cold sake which I had not had before. The place was a cute location in the center Was also a small bar you could sit at. The man who helped me was very kind and patient. They did add automatic gratuity which I was a little bit confused from since it was just a party of two. Not sure if that's something they do since it's close to a lot of the courthouses and such.

I am a fan of Thai food and will continue my search to find the best Pad Thai in the city (I'm serious). This particular Chicken Pad Thai was above average in the area. If you were to present me various pad thais, I could tell you the TipThai versus others. I would definitely try more dishes from here, and it is in a good section of the city.

Great food! Very fresh! Excellent service! If I lived here I would be a regular. I had fried tofu a chicken salad and a glass of table Chardonnay. (I had already started eating before I took the pictures)

The food here is good, price is great for portion size imo, staff here is very nice- always checks up on us!! The duck is very good!! And the nam tok is so flavorful I really liked it. It's very cozy inside.

This is my new favorite takeout spot! I was on UberEats one day, saw that TipThai was having a special on the pad thai and panang curry, ordered it and I'm so glad I did! So flavorful, so tasty, just so so good! I get mild pad Thai and medium panang curry and these spice levels are just fine for me. The panang curry comes with the perfect amount of rice and if you're feeling up for a Thai tea, you won't be disappointed! I'm so glad I found this place and will probably be ordering again in the next week!

When nearby Rice Bar was unexpectedly closed for lunch, my friend and I pivoted to this Thai restaurant. Yelp gave it decent reviews. Walking in on a Friday around 11:40am, we got a seat inside right away. Despite being busy, the man serving was pretty efficient. Water in paper cups came straight away and once we asked, he brought the bill. Overall, the food was decent. The Thai iced tea is sweet. The chicken green curry isn't a big portion, but it tasted like it should.

Wow is all I can say because this has to be the freshest Thai food delivery I ever had! Just got my order from Uber Eats and I tell you the $40 something dollar I spent is real worth it. I ordered Pad See Ew beef medium heat, mango and sticky rice, wonton soup, and regular fried rice with shrimp all medium heat. I'm glad I started with medium because it was spicy but not too much. So when I order again I will definitely try and inch up to the hot! Food came out hot and fresh and I sampled all so I could make sure I gave my honest opinion. And they did not disappoint. Everything was delicious! I can't wait to make my way inside the restaurant if delivery is this good...I know actually sitting down at the restaurant would be just as good or even better. They had a discount in (2) of the items so that was good and I save a little coin!

LOOOOKKKKKK... Knock my socks off why don't you! WOW! Ordered UBEREATS && wanted Thai but I didn't think we were getting this greatness! Everything was simply amazing from the real spice level to the authentic fresh taste to perfection and that's coming from 4 huge Thai cuisine lovers! Portions were great sizes and everything was just great! PHOTOS DON'T EVEN DO IT JUSTICE! You just have to try! Also, excuse photos because we had already started eating && didn't expect to like it like we did!

Stopped in to grab a bite before the concert. Between us we ordered: Summer Rolls Crab Rangoon Pad Ginger The summer rolls had a lot of sprigs of cilantro which overpowered it a bit and we like cilantro. The Crab Rangoon was perfect and the Pad Ginger was a little sweeter than I'm used to but very tasty. The service was great and very quick. Cute little restaurant.

While the food was ok. It was expensive. Portion was small especially appetizer. When I asked rice to be replaced to salad, most restaurants won't mind and would gladly change it for free. At the price point of $23, it really wasn't a big deal. Yet this restaurant wanted me to pay extra for salad. My eyes popped when I saw the size of calamari and satay (both appetizers)at $10 each. Satay had three pieces, while calamari had 10 pc. How cheap! The waitress, though friendly, charged us tips without consents. At the end we paid $100+ for cafeteria quality food. Won't be back if we ever come back to DC.

I visited TipThai this afternoon for lunch. GREATTTT place. For a while, I've just been walking past because this location has changed a million times in the last 8 years that I've worked the next street over. However, I decided to give them a try with my sister and friend today and I AM SO GLAD! This place is small but they've done great things with the space. There is a tiny round bar to sit at as well as table seating. There seems to be a downstairs but I don't think it was opened. The staff is super sweet and accommodating. The cherry on top was my amazing pad see ew. The menu is huge but I can say it is pricey for Thai. I intent to visit again to try more to test the waters further

This place was packed. It does feel kind of cramped but I also take it as a sign that the food is good...and it was. I ordered the green curry and the wonton soup, both were delicious. The staff were nice and attentive. I'll be back for lunch.

A standard and good Thai place. I absolutely loved the lychee martini!!!!!! Water was served in paper cups, not sure if they had a problem with the dishwasher on this day or something? I found it a bit odd but not a problem really. Pad Thai was a little short on egg compared to other places but the flavor was good. I would come back!

We had major indecision because there's SO many things on the menu we wanted to try but ended up getting: Naem khao: 4/5 probably better with the sour pork, but loved how fresh this was. It was a large portion too, so we got kind of full from finishing it before our mains even arrived. Shrimp pad see ew: 5/5 the best pad see ew I've had in the DMV. So much wok fire flavor. You can really taste the caramelization. And the large shrimp were velveted which was made it extra satisfying to eat. Also a good shareable portion size! Muu Som: 4/5 this was super rich and heavy. Would get this again only to share with a larger group. Loved that it came with sticky rice. Mango sticky rice: 4/5 delicious but in my opinion didn't need the ice cream on top (my boyfriend thinks otherwise though). Very large portion as well. The cocktails were a little pricy ($15) for what they were but I did love the tamarind margarita. Just wish it was a larger drink or a smaller price tag. Service was very attentive!

I actually intended to try out the Trini Vybez restaurant next door, but discovered they're closed but their signage is still up. Anyways, I got a seat at the bar for myself and service was great. I was a bit indecisive as the menu is pretty extensive, and I've never eaten Laotian food before. Luckily, it was happy hour, so I was able to sample a couple of their appetizers and their daiquiri which was quite strong. I had the Tam Sum, papaya salad and that was very good with a hint of spice and lime. Then, I also had Chuenh Peek Gai, which was tamarind glazed wings. Omg they were savory and crispy! I loved these. For the entree, the bartender recommended some great options, but I finally settled on Kee Mao, which is flattened rice noodles with stir fry beef and vegetables. It was also a very savory dish, with a sweetness to it. Laotian food is very similar to Thai food and I love Thai food. I will not sleep on this restaurant and will be back soon!!

I sampled a crispy rice salad and some drunken noodles, expecting to eat about half of each. The salad was fantastic, with the light texture of the crispy rice allowing the aroma of lime, chili, and various other flavors to percolate through it. I asked them to hit me with the full spice level for my drunken noodles, and they were venomous, even once I had gotten used to them. The people were preparing some spice trays to be used for ad hoc seasoning, but I had no need of any further chili. A Thai iced tea with lychee I thought was going to be a milk tea, as the term Thai iced tea normally connotes, but it was in fact just tea with fruit. Still good though, and it came with one full lychee. Some of the other people eating around me noted that they planned on leftovers and instead ate everything they got, a comment that the portions aren't huge but also that the flavors are captivating. I finished mine too.

I had some late meetings and so lunch didn't happen for me until close to 3pm, which is when I came here. I needed to charge up my phone and the staff here were super nice and put me at a 4 top that had an outlet available, sweet! And since it was quite cold for me (Im from Phoenix), I opted for a miso ramen noodle soup with tofu. Noodle soup was decent, not as good as an authentic Japanese place, but since it was piping hot, it soothed my soul and the boiled egg was very good too! I slurped happily, got my phone charged, staff was very nice and helpful and I was tucked into a cozy, warm place, so I was a super happy and content when I left. Corn coated in a thin layer of tempura batter, fried until crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, showcasing its natural sweetness and slightly chewy texture. It was somewhat like a Chinese yumi-lao玉米烙 but more moist. The most surprising thing was that despite being entirely vegetarian food, it has the sweetness and meaty texture of fried shrimp paste. The sweet and sour sauce is similar to the Thai sweet chili sauce commonly found in China, but thinner. Served in a small cup, it looked like a cup of black tea, making it more refreshing. Grilled Pork Neck: Very different from pork neck in Chinese Thai cuisine; it's more like Cantonese char-siu叉燒. The pork neck was very well marinated and grilled to a very tender perfection, with a rich and smooth honey aroma, and a subtle wine aftertaste, but it was slightly too sweet for me. Nam Jin Jaew was primarily composed of the tangy kick of lime and the savory saltiness of fish sauce, complemented by the mild spiciness of bird's eye chili, the special fragrance of cilantro, and the sweetness of palm sugar, with a subtle hint of smokiness. It was refreshing on the whole, and incredibly layered - I fell in love with it instantly. Tom Saab Soup: It looked light, but it was surprisingly spicy and sour! The ribs were very fresh, all marbled with fat and lean meat, stewed until incredibly tender, allowing you to taste the natural aroma of the meat. The sourness was subtle, clear, and mild, with a base of lemongrass fragrance that added even more depth. My friend thoughtfully ordered it mildly spicy, but in the end, it just felt like it lacked a kick. Mango Sticky Rice: The best mango sticky rice I've ever had! The sticky rice was cooked to perfect texture and warmth, absorbing the coconut milk flawlessly - neither too watery nor too dry. The first taste was the fragrance of glutinous rice, followed by the sweetness of coconut milk, and a refreshing, slightly tart mango to cut through the richness. Thai Iced Tea: Too much condensed milk, excessively sweet. My friend said it was much sweeter than the last time she had it. Was this a change in the recipe, or did the quality control need improvement? Donsak is a district in Surat Thani, Thailand, and also the hometown of the restaurant's co-owner and manager, Boom, where she was born and raised. The restaurant's introduction states: "When she left for the US, Boom didn't know she wouldn't get to see her home again for many years - and she still hasn't. Donsak is a way around that."
