Persian Burger Sandwich (Halal) - A sandwich featuring sliced tomatoes, shredded lettuce, and a creamy sauce inside a sesame seed bun. The sandwich is on a tray with a piece of parchment paper, and a plastic water bottle is visible in the background. The setting appears to be a casual dining environment.

After the football game, I was looking for a nice place to eat. I found this restaurant on yelp. When I entered the restaurant, the staff were very friendly and polite. I ordered a Persian burger sandwich. The sandwich was made of ground lamb with lettuce tomato, taziki sauce on sandwich roll. The ambiance was customer friendly and lots of seating. A great place to go to for lunch or breakfast.

A sandwich featuring shredded lettuce inside a flatbread wrap, held in a person's hand over a white surface. Behind the sandwich, there is a paper container filled with crinkle-cut fries. The fries are golden and crispy, and the sandwich appears simple with minimal ingredients.

I placed my order on Snackpass for pickup. I got a falafel wrap and fries. I went in to pick up and it was pretty busy inside! The staff quickly handed me my order and gave me a side of ranch at no extra charge! The wrap was really filling and flavorful. The veggies inside were very fresh and abundant. The falafel was perfectly fried and was well seasoned. I just wish there was more of it! The fries were standard crinkle fries, not much to say there! Bongo is a solid lunch choice and I hope to come back again soon to try some of their other menu items.

All American Burger - A burger features a sesame seed bun with a grilled meat patty, topped with shredded lettuce, a slice of tomato, and mayonnaise or sauce. Walking past Bongo Burger and resisting the urge to make an order is an incredible feat. It's always why I walk briskly past this place, ensuring to turn the other cheek, every time I walk home, or else my paycheck would always get funneled into Bongo Burger's register. But, who can blame me; Bongo Burger has the best fast food burger in the Bay Area! I go with the All American Burger which comes with a thick 1/3 lb patty and a healthy portion of crisp vegetables inside. The meat patty is surreal with its perfect char that gives way to a wonderful smoky flavor. And, the meat is always incredibly juicy inside. What really makes this burger are the buns though. Never dry, the sesame seed bun is crunchy on the outside, pillowy on the inside, and vaguely baguette-esque. While I've had sesame seed buns from Burger King to Five Guys, they all PALE in comparison to Bongo Burger. I will say that if you're a stickler for service, this is where they might lack a bit. Cashiers aren't the friendliest, but it's not like you're coming for the ambiance (but if you are, you do you friend). Such a hidden gem and criminally underrated!!! Always a 5/5

    The All American Burger.

A decent burger for $10. It's a 1/3 lb pattern. The service was quick and friendly. If you like burgers this is a good spot to drop 8n.

Turkey Burger - A burger with a sesame seed bun, lettuce, and a grilled patty is placed on parchment paper. Behind it, there is a serving of waffle fries in a paper-lined container. The meal is set on a dark surface, with a lemon wedge visible in the background.

Ordered online and arrived early and food was ready. Yay! Food was nice and hot and fresh. Tasty big burgers and fries are lit. Nice comfort food for an affordable price.

Persian Burger interior - A close-up image of a burger with fresh lettuce, tomato slices, and a beef patty inside a toasted bun. The burger is held in front of a stovetop or cooking surface, with some blurred background elements. The focus is on the interior ingredients of the burger.

So good! Classic student place still serving delicious food. Had the Persian burger and fries - delicious lamb burger on that perfect toasted french bread sesame bun with all the fixins/as you choose, and crinkle cut fries that are nice and crispy! Friendly folks, fast service, and lots of seating, though I had take-out. Good packaging for take-out - all paper/cardboard and not excessive, but kept everything nicely contained.

Persian Burger - A sandwich with lettuce, sliced meat, and sauce inside a sesame seed bun, cut in half to reveal the filling. The sandwich is placed on white paper, with a blurred background suggesting an indoor setting.

The Persian Burger here is always so good. The contents are very simple: a juicy lamb patty perfectly seasoned with sumac, tomatoes, and lettuce -- all wrapped in a nicely toasted bread with sesame seeds. While it may seem like a large sandwich, the lamb patty is actually very thin. I recommend getting a side of fries or tabouleh if you're especially hungry!

It came with a side of coleslaw (3.5 Stars) and spiced honey (3 Stars). They fried a whole breast, it was so large that it over flowed the toasted brioche bun. The only thinking that made it spicy was the homemade spicy mayo, so it wasn't that spicy. I noticed on the menu they have sauces, like Nashville and buffalo. I think next time I'll try one of those sauces to kick up the heat. The cheese I add was not needed, I should have left off. The Fries (4 stars) were coated with potato flour and seasoning, which made a great crispy crust, served hot. Mac N' Cheese (4 Stars $6.49) I ordered the small 8oz, it was corkscrew pasta covered with a cheese sauce that was awesome with some Cajun spices, a like dirt Mac and some extra cheese on top. The burger was fresh and flavorful--you can taste the quality in every bite. The onion rings were on point too: crispy, not greasy, perfectly cooked. Dipping them into the habanero mayo gave it just the right kick. Definitely recommend that combo. The staff was friendly and kept things cool even though there were only two or three people running the place. The spot itself is small, just a few tables and chairs, with a little bit of Latin music playing in the background, which gave it a nice touch. When I first got there, it wasn't too busy, but by the time I finished, it was filling up. Walked around the block to stretch out, came back 15 minutes later, and the place was packed. What's also impressive is that their fried chicken sandwich was voted one of Yelp's Top 50 Fried Chicken Sandwiches in California, ranking #33 in the state. That's what I'm definitely trying next time. Final verdict: Great burger, great onion rings, friendly service, and a spot worth checking out if you're around University Ave in Berkeley. Two thumbs up from me.

The crispy Brussels sprouts stole the show - the deep-frying created a smoky flavor and melt-in-your-mouth texture that was equally loved by vegetarians and non-vegetarians in the group. The tossed salad was decent; the lettuce was heavily coated with oily dressing, which I think could have used more acidity. The Fun-Gi pizza was our favorite of the two pies - the hint of truffle oil and rosemary took this mushroom pizza to the next level. I also loved the light and airy crust, which had the perfect amount of crispiness.
