Great place to relax for cocktails and a nice dinner the service was amazing and the local food is amazing

I've been here before and had a great experience, but tonight was next level. Not only was the food delicious (per usual), but my customer service at the bar with Chelsie was stellar. She was attentive, kind, generous, and overall outstanding. I even noticed it with other patrons, as well. I travel for work and eat at the bar solo often. Had dinner here tonight and we are saddened to see a once great restaurant get to this low level. My wife had the tuna poke bowl and the presentation was something from a grade school student. The tuna and spicing was great with the tuna slightly chilled which was great also. The underlying rice was cold which was disappointing. I had the Mahi that was slightly overcooked but it was way over spiced to the point that I couldn't enjoy it. It was not on the menu as being Cajun. I attempted to scrape it off to no avail. I decided after over a year away from Bonefish Grill and all the challenges they faced during the stretch of covid, that I'd go back and give them another try. I am pleased to say that service was much improved. The bartender was interactive and attentive. Their new Coconut Crush cocktail was very refreshing. Happy hour is 3:00-6:30 pm. The drink menu is limited but offers some decent choices. We made a reservation to ensure we could be seated indoors. It is way too hot to eat out on the patio during the summer. We were seated promptly, and our waitress greeted us about 3 minutes after we sat down. She took our drink and food orders, and bread was delivered to the table promptly. She was a little short on conversation, and we felt a little rushed to give her our food orders. She did check back with us a couple of times during the meal. Bonefish is currently offering a deal for two people to dine for $45 total which includes a choice of salad, an entree, and a shared dessert. My boyfriend had the sirloin steak which was just a little undercooked for his request of medium but was good. I had the trout, and it was cooked nicely. Others at our table ordered the pineapple shrimp and also a steak, and they said their entrees were good as well. The assortment of sides ordered at our table were the garlic whipped potatoes, broccoli, rice, and cole slaw. Everyone was happy with their sides, though my friend said the cole slaw could have been colder and was a little bland. It is disappointing though that our favorite au gratin potatoes are no longer a featured side & haven't been on the menu for awhile now, and the bang-bang shrimp price has increased to more than I want to pay for it. We all understand base food prices have increased lately, but $12.50 for an appetizer is more than I'm willing to spend especially when you see you can get a 1/2 lb burger with fries for $15.50. And for just $4 more you can get a jumbo shrimp & chicken dinner with 2 sides for $19.90. An appetizer shouldn't run you almost as much as a meal. All of their appetizers are $10-$16. Overall, service and quality of the food was much improved from our last visits there over a year ago, and I will go back again to enjoy the dine for two menu while it's being offered. read more

My wife and I both were ill after eating at Bonefish.I ordered a pork tenderloin and was served pork shoulder and had issues the next morning My wife had Scallops and was the victim of the same fate. Apparently there is a new ownership.The food sanitation is first and foremost, nothing else matters if it is bad. read more

What a great place for my birthday lunch! This was our first time here, and Matt, our server, took great care of our table of five as we sat on the patio overlooking the pond. We enjoyed feeding the fish as we waited for our meal too. We started with warm baguette with pesto dipping oil (ended up requesting a second one because it was so good and went so fast) and white mango sangria. Then we tried the bang bang shrimp app - crunchy and delicious! Everyone ordered a different entree and everyone was extremely satisfied, from grilled shrimp Cobb salad to filet mignon, burger & fries, shrimp tacos and ahi tuna bowl. Portions were plentiful and flavors were spot on. Lastly, Matt offered my birthday dessert choices- key lime cake, cheesecake and one more I can't recall, but I chose the Key Lime cake because it sounded unique...have only ever seen Key Lime pie. A beautiful piece of multilayer cake with a hint of lime, frosted and topped with toasted coconut and a little fresh whipped cream on the side was the perfect choice! So refreshing! I have gone here several of times and the staff is always pleasant. I love the fried dumplings and vegetable fried rice. I don't have anything negative to say at all, but I will say this: I have seen the employees deal with mean customers and they (the employee) never retaliate. We had a gift card to use for Bonefish. So we decided to give it a try. We were seated immediately at a nice table. I was able to peek over the shoulders of a few diners that had their dinners and several plates looked amazing! We had a server in training. Her name was Casey and she was shadowed by Melissa who was also very attentive to us and to Casey's questions during our dining. The drinks were nice. The menu was better than I expected. Hubby had the Butterfish special and I had the Chilean SeaBass. Both fish entrees were cooked perfectly and were accompanied with fresh sides and sauces. My wife and I went to Bonefish Vero Beach on July 1,'21 for our anniversary. The big take away was the food was NOT good. My wife had the Key West Ahi. The tuna was cooked well but the topping did not go. it was a salsa and it was cold. The combination wasn't up to par for this restaurant. On the dish were some very small shrimp several of which were NOT cooked. They did comp her meal. It will be a long time before we go back My grilled mahi was over cooked and very dry. Experienced BFG last evening party of 6 , stuffed into a booth, place was packed, understaffed. Perhaps the worst calamari ever, over cooked. Salmon dry tasteless. Steak tiny portion, overcooked. The ambiance is nice. The service is horrible. While taking our order, the waiter was interrupted by an another table with a bill dispute, and didn't come back to take our order. We had to ask the hostess for find our waiter three times during our meal. We had mahi mahi and the fish was very thin, and the lemon butter caper saucy was very greasy and overly salty. I love the food here, especially the Parmesan crusted trout. The house salad is great, especially the house dressing and sunflower seeds. Someone needs to do some DUSTING. Two years ago we suggested this to the manager and he said that they didn't have enough help. I think the same dust is still there. 2stars for the positives,on Easter Sunday, dinner for three,mussels very good, nice sauce, Salmon special, one of the best preparations I've tasted, everything else down hill. Calamari was like eating small rocks. Salads, ordered as a side,, never served, said we would take them to go, my wife's med rare filet mignon, served very rare, sent back, re served - well done. Ordered the Brussels sprout special, not cooked- couldn't even cut them. Nice waiter kept apologizing and said he would send over the manager. He never showed up. Ordered food to go. The food was good, but the order was an hour late for pickup. We had to ask twice to the multiple workers at the hostess table because there was nobody at the to go counter (two others waiting too). The workers were very nice--a servers assistant (who was already busy) ended up being the most helpful and getting everyone's to go order. Happy hour deal was $1 off a $5 draft, and just 3 choices on tap, so things were not off to the best start. Carrabbas has common ownership with bonefish, has 1/2 price drafts (not $1 off), and has Cigar City (local craft) as one of them, so I wish bonefish did the same. Special on Wednesday was bang-bang shrimp app for $6, and every table seemed to have it. I was no exception - it's popular for a reason. Recommended. A second Server brought mains, and I asked for malt vinegar for my fish and chips - he was never seen again. So despite pretty solid food, Bonefish seems to continue to suffer on service issues since my last review years ago. One server took the order, another brought food, and a third refilled glasses. The original server only checked up on us when we were done (too late to ask about the vinegar the second guy didn't bring). This place could easily get that 4th star, but my experience keeps it a 3 (and averaged with my parents' 1-star experience earlier in the week - undercooked fish and absentee service, it should really get a "2"). read more

If you sit down and your waiter greets you using pronouns inappropriately, such as referring to your dining group and himself as "US" or "WE" AND his name is JUSTIN, ask to be reseated. If you stay, you will wait 50 years for your check as he will have moved on to other tables and then prepare to wait about another 100 years for him to pick up your credit card and then, to add final insult to injury, you will watch him flitter around to all of the tables in his sections with your receipt ready to be signed in his little apron for an eternity. The meal was good. It came too fast. We ordered drinks and got our salad before we had time to enjoy our drinks. Then we got our main meal before we 1/2 finished our salads, didn't have time to enjoy the salad or drink. Had our food before we could even think about ordering a glass of wine, because we still had our first drink and waiter never asked. Some friends invited me out for dinner as their guest and they suggested Bonefish Grill. I was very skeptical at first and broke a long standing policy of never eating at a corporate-owned chain restaurant. but let me say I was pleasantly surprised and even shocked to see such an attractive, stylish restaurant inside. The bar scene looked active and full of happy people enjoying their time and meal at the bar. The food was actually pretty good, to my surprise and delight. I had the bang bang shrimp and the ceviche. Both were excellent. Appetizer size for both was plenty enough for me. Prices were reasonable. I would go back there again as it would be an especially good place to eat if one were by themselves. read more

Went to Bonefish for our wedding anniversary while in Vero Beach. Staff was friendly and professional as usual but the food the last couple of times was lacking a bit. We had the Imperial dip appetizer and it was good but needed salt. Thought the chips that came with it were pretty good. My wife got a salad that she was not impressed with. We both got entrees with grilled shrimp. They were over cooked for the most part. Almost all the moisture was gone and they were bright white, not opaque like a well cooked shrimp. I had grilled mahi-mahi with my shrimp and It was a little over done on one side but moist throughout and good taste. Had the same experience in other Bonefish locations so may not go back. The people at the table next to us said they would not be back due to food/order not prepared right. read more

Yes, we had an appetizer and drinks; however, our dinner order was not taken until 7:25 ...which was incredibly long while having 4 menus "in the way," while waiting. It was easier to get my own water, as our server was non-existent for much of the evening. We came here in 2019, and again this past week. Never again! This was a good bye dinner for a friend of my mom's that was going home for the summer. I rarely go to a chain when on vacation but it was her choice. They met all the usual standards of their brand. We sat on the patio, right next to a small lake with ducks and fish. Near the major highway so a lot of traffic noise but I didn't mind it.
