We had amazingly good service from Alexa (and a shout out to Jeff the manager) at my ladies night Happy Hour (6 of us) at the bar area. While Happy Hour prices (which are a great value - $5 drinks and $6 apps) only last from 4 - 6 PM we stayed until after 8:30 and a few of us enjoyed (Shrimp) Cobb salads (always terrific), Bang Bang Shrimp, Shrimp Tacos and Lobster bisque from the "regular" menu. This Bonefish Grill has been here for 8 years. They are re-investing in this location by updating the facility. One feature that may not be commonly known is they have a private dining room that can accommodate up to 40 people. It's got a 75 inch TV, so it could be a good place to watch an Eagles game. PARKING Parking is easy and convenient. A large parking lot is right out front. AMBIANCE Quiet is what I prefer. That's what I got at 5:45 on a Monday night. Though the noise level picked-up slightly a little later. HOSPITALITY Nobody hassled me about snapping some shots. The server was friendly, pleasant, and attentive. And the manager stopped by our table just to chat. We enjoyed that. FOOD I had the Atlantic salmon, and I was glad I ordered the large portion, because it didn't seem like a lot. Though at the end of the meal I was satisfied. It was all perfectly tasty. SPEED OF SERVICE Everything went like clockwork. Wait time was minimal. EXTRAS They cover their tables with a big sheet of paper. It's ideal for scribbling big notes while having a business discussion, or for kids with crayons. RENOVATION They are confident the dining experience will not be impacted while they remain open during renovations. CONCLUSION I would definitely return again, and I would definitely try other Bonefish Grill locations. Hadn't eaten all day so I chose to have a meal delivered and good old reliable Bonefish. The worst meal I've ever had from a restaurant! How does brown lettuce sound for a salad? No cheese, mushy tomatoes and rainbow trout that tasted fishy? Oh and the asparagus? Cold as a well diggers ass in the Antarctic. Never had gamey rainbow trout before. Solid choice for dinner. Only reason not a 5 star is because we always have to wait to be seated reservations or not. That's good for them Because is crowded. Bang bang shrimp are always a hit. Came here with my sister, using a "free entree" coupon my mom received in the mail. I think I had high expectations because it was very crowded and the prices are fairly high, but it wasn't my favorite. The bread, I'll admit, is very good. It came out warm (twice) and the olive oil with pesto goes great with it. It might've been a little salty, but it was still good. The ceviche appetizer was good, although it wasn't very citrusy and it tasted as though the fish had been cooked and then put in, rather than cooked in the lemon. And the crackers had way too much chili seasoning-- it was overpowering. My sister got the lobster stuffed shrimp, and it didn't have a whole lot of lobster. It was mostly a creamy filling, which was good at first but then was just a little much as she kept eating. I got one of the fish options (can't remember which one ) with lemon butter and another sauce-- both served on the side. I have been here a couple times before, and have always enjoyed it. Stopped by here for dinner with my fiancé the other week. Of course, we had the bang bang shrimp to start which is always amazing. I had the pomegranate martini to drink which was really good. For our entrees, I had the chilean seabass with mango salsa, with mashed potatoes and jasmine rice as side. This was great and the mango salsa gave a great flavor to the fish. My fiancé had the sirloin and crab cake which he really enjoyed as well. Service was a little slow. Been to the Bonefish chain a bunch of times. Very good seafood chain. Service at the Willow Grove location is better. Both locations the bar area is very lively. We usually eat in the bar area. Order: my fav to start is the bang bang shrimp and calamari. Wednesday nights has half off bang bang. My go to entree is the chilean seabass in the asian sauce with jasmine rice, so flaky and tasty. The tacos are great as well. End the meal with the key lime pie, not to sweet or tangy, the perfect blend. Had a one off night here once, the entree was overlooked. Service: the service at the Willow Grove location is better. The service here is a bit slow and not as attentive. It depends on the waiter. Overall: def a good seafood chain restaurant. Pretty stellar location for weekend lunch or dinner during the week, especially after seeing a film at the Edgemont. Killer drinks, bread, and appetizers. Have been going to Bonefish Grill for over 15 years with my wife and daughter and have been more than satisfied. We love the Bang Bang shrimp app and the soup choices always are on point. My wife enjoys the Pecan Crusted Trout and has ordered this almost every time. She feels that once you find something you love, why deviate lol. As for myself I try many things on the menu but lately have been partial to the scallops. Our daughter feasts on all of it. The one thing that we agree on is that the sides are often disappointing. Now everyone forgets sometimes but our server never checked to see how our meal was so I guess she wouldn't have noticed my empty martini glass. I filed this away in my brain waiting for the right opportunity to visit Bonefish again. That opportunity arrived yesterday as my lady had a business dinner and I had to fend for myself. Unfortunately, I left my coupon on the kitchen table. Manager Robin listened to my sad story and said she would honor the deal as long as I returned with the coupon. Promise made- and a mad respect for her understanding. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. Arrived in the middle of the happy hour. Nothing special - well drinks, house wines, beers. No food deals. Zero. Nada. I ordered a Makers Mark Old Fashioned to drink (NOT on the happy hour deals). At first, it tasted terrible But after stirring it with my straw it was passable. Not the best I've had. I asked for a glass of water and received one of the smallest glasses of water i have ever seen - with no ice.I guess hydration is not part of THE BONEFISH WAY. For dinner I ordered tuna. Sides were Ceasar salad (dressing on the side) and steamed asparagus (slight upcharges for both). Bread arrived quickly. It was warm and the dipping oil delicious. The salad arrived - fully dressed - so back it went. The bartender returned with the salad with dressing on the side the way I ordered it. Tuna and asparagus followed not long afterward. The tuna was fair at best. It tasted like frozen tuna, not fresh. It lacked the flavor of fresh tuna and did not stand firm the way I expect it would. The temperature wasn't even hot - like it sat under a heat lamp. Certainly it didnt come right off the grill. The asparagus was okay. The flier I received told me they would perfect EVERY detail. Compared to the Big Fish in Glen Mills, this failed on every point by comparison. Next time I have a desire for seafood, I'm going there instead. Face it, the flier got me in the door. Drinks are expensive, but the bartenders do a good job. I like the atmosphere here and the restaurant seems well taken care of and clean, which is important. We just had a delicious "date night" dinner at Bonefish in Newtown Square. We were thoroughly enjoying our leisurely night out without kids, so imagine our surprise when we asked for the bill, and our waitress, Gretchen (who was fantastic - very courteous and accommodating) informed us that our bill had been taken care of by the manager, Felicia. Apparently Felicia was concerned because we had to wait a few extra minutes for our server to arrive, so she comped our entire dinner (apps, salads, entrees). We have been to this restaurant before and always enjoyed our meals, but we will be sure to recommend this restaurant to all of our friends and family. This is a great place to come when you feel sociable and fishy. I usually don't like to go to chains for a sit down meal if I don't have to, but Bonefish is fun, and it's one of the only places around me in Media that I've enjoyed getting seafood for a reasonable price. They have an amazing Bang Bang Shrimp that is almost too big to finish with one other person. Last time I went there was a prixe fix menu for 2 that offered 4 different fish dishes, and a salad (which I was able to substiute the normal selections with the salad special, beet with goat cheese...mmmmmm) for $19.99. I've never had a problem with the customer service like some other reviewers, in fact quite the opposite. Last time we had one of the most attentive waiters we've had in a while, and it was during a really busy night. I didn't get his name, but based on his service I vow to get waiters' names from here on out. read more

I have never been to one of these places before and I have to say I was impressed. I did have to wait with my girlfriend for over an hour to get a table, but that was our fault because we did not make reservations. With that said, the manager of the place came around a few times with appetizer samplers for us to try out and hold us over while we waited. During the meal he stopped by a few times to make sure our meal was good and offered us a free appetizer the next time we came since we waited so long. The food itself, was very good. I have been up and down with Bonefish lately. Occasionally 5 stars but more recent 1 star for two reasons. About a month ago four of us dined out for my birthday. All of us ordered the sirloin and "crab cake?" I upgraded to filet ...upgraded on price only..what I received was "not a filet" The 6 oz portion of steak was a stretch and the crabcake was NOT a crabcake,,,it was only a spot of crab barely large enough to be garnish. I wrote a letter to the manager Kevin the next day and Kevin didn't have the courtesy to answer the letter or take a minute to telephone me. The servers are nice, the receptionist nice, the appetizers nice but the main course was a joke. There is nothing worse than leaving a restaurant hungry after spending $160.00 Almost forgot....they took "bacon wrapped scallops" off of the appetizer menu! Go figure! read more
