Not bad for a chain. The on Midlothian is one of the better ones. However, the clientele has definitely gone down since 2007. You will see baseball caps regularly now. Use to be no lower than business casual. However, every restaurant has seen its clientele decline since 2007. Famous for its bang bang shrimp and you cannot go wrong with any of the fish. However, the steaks are nothing to be ashamed of either. Great for happy hour or just dessert as well. read more

Well, the food was great, but the steak was asked to be cooked to well done, and it came to us near rare, the waiter kept messing up the drinks the entire night, and the bang bang shrimp is the best thing here..... I just wish the waiter was better read more

In my opinion not enough portions for the money and service was not good at all. I complained and management gave me 2 of what are called "bang bang" free shrimp complement cards. Probably will not go back. read more

Great for a chain restaurant. We always sit and the community table and do apps and drinks. No waiting or pager from the hostess needed. The seafood is never overdone, and the service is always great, even when they are busy. It's a go to place that has never disappointed. read more

Fantastic experience at Bonefish last night. The food was outstanding and the service was even better. Our server, Ronald, was the best. We never wanted for anything, he was patient and attentive and really knew his stuff. He talked to my 11 year old daughter as though she was the one paying the bill. She had questions about the menu and he took the time to answer them. Bonefish is very fortunate to have such an amazing server on their team. We ate thrilled to have such a wonderful restaurant so close to where we live. Do yourself a favor, pay them a visit and ask to sit in Ronald's section. read more

It was our husband and I first time. Our server Ashley was amazing. The food even better. I have only good thoughts and praise Bonefish Grill. Thank you so much for making a date night even more special. read more

Brunch on Sunday isn't anything to write home about. The coffee was mediocre to bad and the eggs are reminiscent of powdered, tasteless eggs. The potatoes au gratin also, less than spectacular. Really a disappointment. read more

We love it here! Bang bang shrimp tacos are always to die for!! Can't forget about the white cranberry cosmo!!

Welcome to the ice bar. This place is freezing. Many people wearing sweaters. It always is cold. Maybe because the staff has long sleeves and long pants in the hot summer. Bring a jacket as the staff is well aware of this but they never fix it. read more

We have eaten here several times...food is ok. Tonight we had a table with water dripping on it. Things happen...no worries. The hostess saw and told the manager, we told the waitress who told the manager, and we ate our dinner with water dripping on our table. Not looking for anything other than another water free table amd there were many. Next time we feel like seafood and a subpar dining experience we will swing by McDonalds for a filet o fish. Wish we went to Latitudes! read more

This place is fantastic! I absolutely love their food. The only problem with dining here is that everything is so good, I have a hard time deciding because I want it all. My absolute favorite dish (besides the bang bang shrimp of course) would be the mussels josephine. This is technically an appetizer, however the portion is sufficient to have as a meal. The service is always excellent and the wait staff is well trained in the menu, wine and bar offerings. If you really want to make an excellent impression this is a the prime place for a date or small business dinner. read more

May be the most over-rated, over-hyped restaurant in Richmond. Fits the definition of a chain restaurant to a T. Noisy and over crowded. Unknowledgeable waitstaff. Fancy descriptions for mediocre food that is over priced. read more

Bonefish is excellent. My wife love their fontina chop and I get their filet mignon. Unbelievable flavors. It's more than a good fish house. read more

I had Cerviche. Fresh and flavorful. The waiter and manager were very courteous and took very good care of our small party especially to make amends regarding the "carding" process. We would definitely return. read more

Great Bang Bang Shrimp, fun date night with my husband! We really enjoyed it. Walked in at 8:00 on a Saturday night and were seating very quickly. Excellent service, too! read more

Food was decent but not great. Service was good. Out of dinner special we wanted. Got to go for boys at home quickly and effectively. Enjoyed meal but wasn't as impressed with food quality read more

I have mixed feelings about this place. We have had a most wonderful time there and a horrible time there. I guess it depends on the server, sometimes you can even get away with "okay" food if the service is top notch. We are not sure we want to test the waters again, time shall tell. read more

Went here for lunch and the food was out of this world! Everything was seasoned and cooked perfect, service was great! In person, your food actually looks like what is in the picture. The quality of food here is always top notch! read more

My husband and I both love this place. Always fresh food, friendly service and a nice atmosphere. I love the crab cake sandwich and he usually gets grilled salmon or scallops and shrimp. I love their sides and the bread and oil too!! read more

Solid food and good service. However, unprofessional hosts that continuously over promise and under deliver. Finally was seated at 7:30 for 6:30 reservation. Our party was one of 7 all with reservations at 6:30 hanging out to dry. Also, when finally seated took over an hour to get food. Hosts made no move to offer solutions to anyone will not be looking to return. Too many excellent restaurants around to waste time here. read more

Over rated and over priced! Thought we were off to a good start with tasty mussels! Entrée was supposed to be an 8 oz. sirloin with a lobster tail. When it arrived, I questioned the size, only to be told that they had "run out" of the 8 oz. portion. No one bothered to let us know or ask if we wanted to change our order. A 6 oz. size steak for the 8 oz. price? No thanks! What would the charge have been had I not inquired regarding the discrepancy? Although the lobster tail was nicely prepared, the sides were tepid at best, and the sirloin had no discernable seasoning. I've had far superior sirloin steaks at Texas Roadhouse! Very disappointing!! read more

the best seafood restaurant around. their bang bang shrimp & their shrimp/crab dip is so good.

I have only eaten here once because I hated it the first time around. Took my dad for his birthday and tried to get a reservation but they wouldn't give me one. So we waited and waited to get a seat. The seating reminds me of cafeteria style because it is so loud in there. Kids running around and screaming....just awful. The food was not very tasty or warm. There are too many other nice restaurants in town to have to eat here so for me I'm not going back. read more

Quite a happening place. It's been a while since I've seen a restaurant in this area that ram-packed at six pm on a Saturday night. It's a good thing we had reservations. Could have done without the very heavy and slow revolving door (claustrophobic). The whole place seems a bit over the top for a chain restaurant. I felt like I was mainly paying for the ambiance, which I admit was nice. Service has two speeds: slow (my friend waited at least half an hour for his iced tea and we almost had to share a bread plate since we were given only one) and suffocating (manager type literally sitting down at our table and demanding to know "what took you so long" to try the restaurant for the first time. What can I say, my mother's cremation kept me busy lately) Friend and I split a Caesar salad, the "full" version of which must be tiny indeed since we each got no more than a few mouthfuls of dressed greens, two stale croutons and grated cheese (shaved would have been more elegant, come on, even Ruby Tuesday's can manage that). Friend was more than happy with his crab crusted cod entree, while I was less than impressed with the Lily's Chicken. Tough, basic wood grilled chicken breast (had to saw at it with a butter knife since I was given nothing else) with a dollop of goat cheese, huge chunks of artichoke hearts and slimy cooked spinach. The waiter and I had an entire conversation about how much we both dislike cooked spinach so why didn't he warn me about the entree I chose? Steamed broccoli on the side was undercooked to the point of being crunchy. No thanks. Applewood bacon mac and cheese was bland and boring but Friend said the garlic mashed potatoes were good. The bill for the two of us was $53 plus tip. I'm underwhelmed but we agreed we would go again and order something different. read more

On the menu Truffle butter Mac and cheese...ordered it, waiter said it was mushrooms, truffle butter, Mac and cheese, but there was no cheese, the waiter did not say there was no cheese, why would it be titled Mac and cheese when there is no cheese, confusing, misleading, and dishonest... read more

I just want to say the food is always good, atmosphere great! I went to Bonefish Grill, Richmond, with a friend tonight and everything was great except for the final bill. I knew the watermelon martinis were $5 tonight and the calamari was $6 during happy hour. When my bill arrived everything was regular price and my bill was double! This is the 3rd time it has happened to me at a Bonefish Grill. The other two times were in Albany, NY, needless to say they are no longer in business there. I was told by an assistant manager that the pricing is by word of mouth! Wow! So anyone that reads this better check your bill!! read more

Although the food is good, your really paying for the ambience of the place. Staff is very friendly, the lights are dim, and the place makes for the perfect first, second or third date :) read more

the bang bang shrimp is awesome!!!!! and the oysters are to die for!!!!!! best eating place in va!!!!!!!!

I am a regular at this restaurant. My husband and I go there once a week on Saturday and with my parents for special occasions. Two Saturdays ago I was brought food with a long black piece of hair that went across the whole plate. The manager never came to apologize and when I called to speak to a manager Monday because of how rude I feel my treatment was when my waitress said the manager said "really" like my short blonde hair was put in there from me when it was clearly a long black hair I was told I would receive a call back and still to this day have heard nothing. My husband and I are young however because of our age I didn't appreciate how we were treated compared to how maybe someone a little older would have been treated considering we are regular customers. Or were until 2 Saturdays ago read more

Several of our friends have suggested we try Bonefish Grill for years. we finally had the opportunity to do so and boy did we enjoy. We had great service, the food was fantastic and the management was friendly. The only negative thing I can think of is that they have a rotating door to enter, which is very difficult to use for those like my wife who are disabled. read more

The food is good. The service is good. The portions could be a little larger and it's a little pricey but not too bad. Overall it's worth the trip and I'll be back. read more

We would not know how great this place is, couldn't even get in the door! We went in there were tons of tables available but were given the buzzer with a 45 min wait! Sat there for 30min while about 50 couples went in never came back out. Thinking this place only lets people that are dressed the part dine there. We stopped by from another outing in shorts and flip flops so we got no service what so ever after that we turned in the buzzer and found all 50 couples seated and getting served. how nice! read more

A delicious meal was made even more enjoyable by our lovely, gracious, accommodating and fun server, Cierra! My husband, daughter and I will definitely request her on future visits! read more

Tonight was the worst dining experience I've ever had. It was my cousin's 34th birthday we had people from out of town and we had reservations at Bonefish at 7pm. Not only did it take our dinner 2 hours to get to our table but the service was awful. Our water never apologized and it took him about 15 minutes to get us our drinks. There were so many different people coming to our table we didn't know who the actual server was. The manager came over and offered to take away our appetizers, at that point we just wanted to get out of the resturant. I would NEVER recommend Bonefish. read more

I was very upset with this place.... I called a week in advance to save a table for 10 people for my 24th birthday dinner. I called earlier in the day to make sure everything was still good for the evening. They told me Yes everything was fine and they would of my table I get to Bonefish and they had not seated any of my guests they said they were waiting on my entire party to show up. the Hostess was so rude to me almost had me in tears she even yelled at the manager on dutie. After 45 mins of waiting for my table one of my friends spoke to the manager and she got us a table ASAP. the hostess just stood there rolled her eyes. It was very upsetting not how I would of liked to start off my Birthday evening. The waitress was amazing she made the evening very special and even paid for my meal for having to put up with everything/ the manger brought me a box of chocolate with the bonefish logo it was very nice. Only the hostess needed a talking to and it seemed as if the manager was frightened to speak with her. I called to talk to the head manager and never heard back other then that very rude hostess and not getting a call back I had a great time. read more

Bonefish has a nice ambiance, and the food was good, but nothing was spectacular. I would expect the relatively smaller portion sizes like theirs at a much higher-end restaurant, not here. Service was mediocre. I wouldn't consider the dinners pricey, but they aren't cheap either. I will probably return but will set my expectations slightly lower than I did the last few times I visited. read more

We ate here on Sunday evening. The food was terrible, rice was overcooked and stuck together. The chicken was dry. No one from management ever came to our table and as we were leaving, no one said a word. read more

We were there last night, we live in Harbour Pointe, we come to your restaurant few times a year. For the last year we noticed the change for the worse.....last night, the place was almost empty, the prices are the same but........smaller portions, the presentation on the food was BLANK, just the food.......no effort, the waiter and waitresses uniforms did not look to clean, and when I went to the ladies room........the floor was dirty, the door did not lock....there is not dress code, people were in flip flops, T shirts, there is not a dress code, it looked like you were in a cheap restaurant at the beach. The manager never came to do rounds to greet the customers. We are not coming back. Sorry. read more

Went in last night for "Bang-Bang Wednesday." If you've heard of the Bang-Bang shrimp dish at Bonefish Grill and never tried it, it's worth every penny! On Wednesday, you get the appetizer portion for $6. The wait staff was friendly and knowledgeable of menu options. The place was packed, however service was very prompt! read more
