Very bad service - period. I was in town - as I travel quite a bit - and decided to have dinner here. I like Bonefish Grill... but this one was incredibly disappointing. I walked in the door to be greeted by the hostess. No smile, no welcoming body language. She seated me at a high table near the bar. There was a couple at the end of the bar, and 2 couples seated behind me in 2 booths... that's it. At that time , a girl with long red hair walks in and walks by me... reeking of Marijuana. She goes toward the far end of the bar, near the registers and kitchen. I realize she is an employee coming into work. She and her co-workers are laughing it up, talking very loudly... louder than anyone in the restaurant. They seem to be completely oblivious to any of the customers, and how obnoxious they were being. After sitting there 10 minutes... with no service... a woman walked in and sat at the bar. She was greeted by the bartender, who promptly got her a drink. Another 10 minutes go by - still no service - and bread and Bang Band Shrimp was brought to her.... and now I've been seated 20 minutes, and I still don't have water. At this point, I get out of my seat and go up to the hostess and ask her if anyone is aware I am sitting there. She gives me kind of a dirty look and then goes to - I assume - find someone to wait on me. Five minutes go by, and then finally, the bartender comes over to me and brings me water, 25 minutes after I arrive. She takes my order, and I wait another 20 minutes before my appetizer comes out. I ordered the Bang Bang Shrimp. I get this every time I have gone to a Bonefish Grill, and it is large enough to be a meal. However , this time, it is doused in way too much sauce... it's mushy... and it's not supposed to be. And it's sitting on about 2 inches of shredded lettuce. Ten minutes later, out comes my entree.... I had ordered the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and asparagus. The salmon was actually quite good, but the bartender brought me the wrong potatoes, stating she thought I said I wanted the herbed potatoes. No, I said, mashed... didn't even know they had herbed. She offered to replace them, but for the sake of saving time, I said no, that's ok, I'll try them. I shouldn't have... they were terrible. They are deep-fried and drizzled with some awful sauce. And it definitely did not pair with grilled salmon. The asparagus I received was way overcooked... very mushy. The mango sauce on the side was very mushy as well, like they were using mangoes that were over ripe, ready to throw out. Since I had been sitting so long, I drank all of my water before my food had even come out. No one stopped by to ask me if everything was OK or to check and see if I needed water.... which I did. I didn't finish my meal... it really was very disappointing. The bartender came to the table with my bill... and charged me extra for the herbed potatoes... the ones I didn't order! She saw me looking at the bill and taking a picture of it, so she came over and took that off. She charged me for the asparagus, as she said it was an upcharge. I told her I didn't know it was because she just pointed to the sides when I ordered and had said I got 2 . I couldn't pay that bill fast enough and get out of there. As I was laying the money on the table, a server came and gave me fresh water... as Im leaving!!! The service in this particular location is horrendous. If anyone from corporate is reading this: your managers need to get a handle on their servers at this location. There is no reason I should have sat there that long without service. This experience makes me not want to take a chance and go to ANY Bonefish Grill again. read more

Are you f-ing kidding me? We rolled in at 3:45 on the Saturday. The place is essentially empty. The 'host' asks is we have a reservation. The answer is 'no'. She gets two menus and takes us into room with at least 50 empty tables. She does know where to seat us. All stop. She talks to her boss then proceeds to seat us at what has to be the worst table in the room. Bad start. Then the 'car,' excuse me, 'experience saleswoman' arrives. She tries to impress us with their minuscule 'Martini Menu.' Laughable. We come from Reno, NV, where are regular drinking spot has a hundred. So, I cut her monologue off and attempt to place my order. On the online menu, I see they have Walleye. Well, I can't have that because it's a 'special' and THAT 'special' is being offered today. Well, my 'dining experience' was totally 'off the rails' at that point. So, I got up, said 'Thank you (for what I don't know), and exited the premises. The words that come to mind - even a day later - is the restaurant is pretentious and the 'experience pitch' was unctuous. Came in on a Wednesday night with a group! Kevin at the bar took amazing care of us! I had the pork chop special & it was Special! I'm a sucker for a pork chop! I tasted the bang bang shrimp & knew I needed to come back for that! Returned Friday and again sat at the bar & Adam took great care of me! He's very gregarious & welcoming! Had to wait 20 minutes for my order of grilled salmon & broccoli to arrive. Salmon was good but broccoli was tremendously undercooked. almost raw. Server said it was "al dente", but it wasn't cooked even to that point. Couldn't eat it. Another server picked up the floor fan in the kitchen doorway just prior to picking up my plate to bring to me. I had direct line of sight from my table. ew gross. Went to Bonefish Grill on Rockside Road for Mother's Day. We each ordered off their Mother's Day menu. It's been a while since I've been there, but my mother-in-law loved the place so that's where we went. My sons shrimp and scallop pasta was served without any shrimp or any pasta which they ended up taking back and it ended up being fairly tasteless. My BFG burger was well done around the outside and raw in the middle. My mother-in-law's crème brûlée French toast was so hard around the crust she couldn't even cut it with her knife. On the positive side, the service was really good and the drinks were spectacular. I don't think I'd ever go back here again. read more

I had very low expectations for this solo mid-conference meal, but I was impressed. I've never been to Bonefish and fully expected chain restaurant fare. Instead, I had the best pineapple martini I've ever had (that's saying a lot for a travel agent) and delicious Mexican street corn. I also enjoyed the mahi tacos which were perfectly seasoned. Even the bread and fries hit the spot. My waitress was lovely, as was the support staff. I'm not big on seafood but i was workin in the area and my co-workers wanted to go to Bonefish. I ended up getting a burger and it was really good, especially for a place that specializes in seafood. I also had 3 of their fresh margaritas and i must say they were the best margaritas i have ever had. My husband and I visited Bonefish Grill in Independence, Ohio on Sunday, March 2. My husband took me there as a surprise for my retirement from teaching. We had a fantastic time. The atmosphere was wonderful! The restaurant was extremely elegant and beautiful. It was a perfect place to celebrate. Our waiter, John, was excellent. He was young, but had great skills as a waiter. John greeted our table and took our drink order. His timing was perfect as he came to take our order. He allowed us enough time to look over the menu and decide what to order. He gave us time between ordering the appetizer and our dinner. There was no push to get us in and out of the Bonefish restaurant like many restaurants today. John explained the entrees offered. We started with the boom boom shrimp as our appetizer. It was excellent!! It was a great portion and perfectly spicy!!! However, it was a busy Sunday night and the restaurant was out of cod which we ordered. My cod was supposed to be stuffed with shrimp and scallops. Another fish was substituted and it was fantastic. The portion along with garlic mashed potatoes was excellent, and I could barely finish it. I had the house salad with seeds, olives and citrus vinaigrette. My husband had an ample portion of red snapper, au gratin potatoes and green beans which was delicious. Since Bonefish Grill was out of cod, my husband asked for the manager to come over, Kenn Collins. Kenn was the happiest guy ever even though it was late on a Sunday night. He was happy to hear I was retiring. Since the restaurant was out of cod, Kenn offered us free dessert. John recommended the chocolate creme brûlée, which was absolutely delicious!!!! It was a superb ending to our dinner! At the end of our dinner, John and Kenn brought me a box of chocolates as a gift for my retirement. I was so surprised, and I thought it was such a sweet gesture because I was not expecting anything!!! Needless to say, this was a joyous experience and I look forward to going back to Bonefish Grill and trying other dishes. Had the teriyaki chicken bowl. Too little chicken and way too much rice. Mango salsa was good but not enough and they barely drizzled the teriyaki glaze on chicken so had to ask for more. Wish it had more veggies. Pretty tasty but a tad skimpy for $14. The bar was too dark and we all struggled to read menu. Colleague was not thrilled with his go-to Bang Bang shrimp this visit. If up to me I would not return after 3-4 disappointing visits. read more

Out for dinner after work traveling. Looking for a lighter flare so stopped by a favorite place. I LOVE their fish. Since I eat out often I asked the waitress for her suggestion. I went with the Crab Crusted Cod. A great choice she suggested. I chose the wedge salad with blue cheese dressing as a side. (This has become a favorite of mine and this was really good and not watered down). Also had the au gratin potatoes which are always good. I sat at the bar which I normally do when eating alone. Waitress was friendly and helpful and got me everything I asked for. Chelsea took great care of me. I have ate here several times and never had a bad meal. Great atmosphere. Good wine selection. I had a glass of merlot that was really good. I asked for name of it that she told me (the name escapes me) however is only sold to restaurants. I will continue to frequent Bone Fish Grill for a long time to come. Keep it up. read more

Well, with 0 Degrees and being directly next to my hotel, It is just convenient. Walked in, it was busy, but found a seat at the bar right in front of a TV (Winning!) that was streaming ESPN, so I was entertained from the get go. When we arrived we were sat quickly, unfortunately it was directly by the door on a busy evening so there were constantly people standing practically on top of us the whole evening. We put in a drink order and an appetizer order. Both came quickly. From there on out it was downhill. For the remainder of our visit our server was barely around. Our dinners were mediocre after having obviously sat under warning lights too long. Our drinks sat empty. Last night, we made reservations for Bonefish. Surprisingly, when we arrived, we were immediately seated. We walked past at least 20 people that were standing around waiting. Busy night! We were promptly seated and asked if we wanted bread with our drinks. Um, yes! The bread was warm and delicious. Then we ordered the scallop appetizer, which included four seared scallops wrapped in bacon. They seemed to be cooked correctly because they were not chewy at all and they tasted delicious. Loved them! I ordered the Chilean Sea Bass, wife ordered the special which was a white fish served in lobster sauce, garlic mash, and chickpea salad. My fish was specatular! I was longing for more because it was a small cut. It was cooked to perfection and was definitely the highlight of my dish. The side of cooked chickpeas was very tasty. Loved it and wanted more! I washed it down with two glasses of yummy red sangria. My wife said her fish tasted awesome and her serving was much larger than mine, even though we both ordered the 'regular' size. She washed hers down with some yummy Chardonnay. My daughter had fish n chips and she gobbled up every bit of it. She really liked it. My son had eaten previously, so he just had some fries, which he liked a lot. Our server was very friendly and attentive. Refills were on point and his demeanor was great.
