Not as good as my last visit. The desserts all were dry and some had a funky taste. The chicken for the sweet and sour was mostly breading. I had a few pieces that had no chicken in it. Also the general tso chicken was so bad I had to spit it out. The sauce was fine but the chicken was gristle. The immatation crab for the ramen was also spit worthy. Visited Sakura buffet recently. I had dined at the Double Dragon Buffet for over 20 years before it went out of business. I looked forward to another Asian buffet opening at this location. Upon arrival, we inspected the interior of the building. There were many similarities to the layout of the previous buffet that was here. The entrance has been remodeled and the center of the restaurant is mostly an aisle now. The buffets themselves were basically the same. While they did change some things with the building, there were still a lot of remnants of the old restaurant, which means they did not perform a full remodel. Noteably, the ceiling tiles looked a little rough. Concerning the food, it was pretty good. They offered a lot of the same dishes that we've come to expect at an Asian buffet. Green beans, chicken on a stick, fried rice, veggies, sushi, mushrooms, numerous steak and chicken dishes, and ice cream all were featured at the buffet. The food was good, but not great. The price was also fair. The service was fast and friendly. Because it's a 30-minute drive, I don't think we'll visit very often. There are at least two other Asian buffets within 15 minutes of this one. Good stuff. read more

I came here the other week for the first time, and I left with a full and happy belly. When I walked in, I noticed the pretty decor. On Sundays, the restaurant serves all-day dinner for $19.99 per adult before tax. In my opinion, my meal was well worth the money. Sakura had the usual Chinese-American staples: lo mein, Chinese donuts, fried rice, etc. The restaurant also had a decent seafood spread including but not limited to several sushi rolls, sashimi, mussels, clams, and raw oysters. I thought everything was fresh and delicious (especially the sushi and sashimi), save for the raw oysters, which I was a bit skeptical about. But I ate a few oysters and didn't get sick afterwards, so maybe I just didn't care for these particular oysters. In addition to the buffet, the restaurant had made-to-order hibachi and ramen stations. I was especially stoked to see the ramen station, and my bowl of ramen was tasty and came out piping hot. Perfect for the winter weather! For dessert, I had lots of fruit, a few scrumptious little pieces of cake, and a cup of strawberry ice cream. To my surprise, the fruit bar really impressed me. I'm used to buffets pretty much just having subpar melon and canned pineapple as fruit options, but Sakura, in addition to the standard cantaloupe and honeydew, had lychee, big juicy grapes, and kiwi. The lychee was average but not bad. However, the grapes and kiwis were so fresh and sweet. The service was OK. The staff was quick to clear plates, not so much with drink refills. But it wasn't slow enough to deter me from planning my next visit. read more

It was good as far as buffets go. Tasty food but slow to replenish popular items. Both salmon and white fish literally kept submerged in water and not very appealing. Decent service and fairly clean environment. Unfortunately beverage not included in buffet price. read more

Sakura buffet is located where the old Double Dragon Buffet was, which went out of business during Covid. So , I am hoping some of those customers will come back and try Sakura buffet. It was spotlessly clean, the food was delicious and service also very very good. Although I noted it was only 7:10 PM and there wasn't a lot of each selection out ... although there was a great assortment ... 67 not too much of each thing. As someone else mentioned, it was very very cold in there. There was almost a wind, ha ha ha. Since they just opened, I think as time goes along they will get even better, but I thought it was good. read more

If you go on a busy day be aware. Could hardly move around serving tables because the area was so tight. Some of the meats were cold which made me weary. It was so loud with screaming kids running around I couldn't wait to leave. Got sick after. read more

PROs: - Very clean - Decor aesthetically pleasing - Good service cleared off dirty plates somewhat quickly - Food delicious n variety options - Price somewhat reasonable n good value - Ice-cream in separate containers n more sanitary than ppl scooping it out of a shared container - Clean bathrooms YES, overall, very satisfied n will def return, but probably only during weekdays bcuz LESS expensive. I'll be honest, I was excited to try this place. But after going there I was severely disappointed with the food here. Unfortunately almost every food I got from the buffet was ice cold or like warm, the taste wasn't great and it was dry as if it's been sitting out for hours. The only time I have ever left an All-you-can-eat place hungry. Pizza, macaroni and cheese, ham? And all the usual Asian suspects; egg rolls, spring rolls, crab rangoon, lo mein, 'crab' salad. It just opened so they don't have the little things where they should be, need little sauce cups near the sauces, etc. Overall the food was good and it was clean. Went on Monday 12.30pm. Dont care for the setup & Weird that u pay after you eat. The waiters were in the way every time I went from table to Buffet. Not a good variety or selection. Food selection and taste better at a different local Buffet. Very few speak English & Most food not labeled or labeled food missing/not available. This is frustrating beyond belief. I cant have spicy. When I asked about foods they didnt understand. Silverware spotty. Plates under table and hard to get for disabled or people with Back problems.
