I received a card for bang bang shrimp and this was on my way today. The shrimp was nice but it didn't stand out for me in a foodie kind of way. Also ordered a cranberry to go and they gave me bread even though they didn't have to. The picture of the big cranberry to go drink did not come out well. So I cannot post it unfortunately: Slightly interacted with 4 staff and they were friendly and efficient. The place was not overly crowded for a Friday night but it was a good crowd. The people here really sell this place- especially considering the location. I have read that some Bone Fish in more rural areas have closed. Hopefully this one is here to stay. When I made my order, the server hesitated to say what wasn't available. She took the order anyway. I wasn't surprised when she came back to say there was no more lobster after NYE. That's understandable. I would have preferred for her to have the backbone to just tell me with my initial order. I am an easy-going person. I would have understood. So I ordered lumpcrake with grouper, mashed potatoes and asparagus. The appetizer was lump crab soup- it needed salt and pepper and most importantly, it was cold. I was so hungry, I ate. I also don't EVER send food back. The entree was as expected for the caliber of restaurant it is; the asparagus was over-cooked, potatoes needed salt and pepper, crab cake tasted like a frozen box grocery store crab cake. The only thing that was actually good was the grouper. I was pleasantly surprised. I did not give the server a hard time. She was probably tired from the night before and as long as I was full, I didn't make a fuss. Its actually my fault because going to a restaurant after a busy night isn't a good idea. Stopped in for lunch recent to take advantage of the lunch special. Showed up a little after opening. Door was locked? There were already a couple of folks in the place so that was strange. Bathroom we're filthy paper towels everywhere. There was a salad spilled next to my table that remained there for an hour and a half.

Our server was very pleasant but also very absent. Unsure if a black jacket meant trainee, but our waitress abandoned us for long stretches. It took forever to get our entrees, refills, dessert, and bill. Everyone enjoyed the food except the seasonal vegetables which turned out to be old, overcooked broccoli. Bang, bang was okay, not as good as usual. We loved the Ahi tuna wontons, and the crab cakes were barely cooked. They were out of the green bean appetizer. Cheesecake at $11.00 a slice was average. Pellmans makes a better one. So, $76.00 plus tip, not worth it. The restaurant was not crowded, service was less than stellar. So I decided to stop in for an early lunch today(11am) at Bonefish in Exton(FYI they open at 11 ) Keep in mind I am the only customer so far. I was seated at the bar right away (because I requested.) surprise!! If you know me it's not!!! okay now on to the food. The Winter White Cosmo is really tasty. It has a very nice but small hint of the Elderflower liqueur to it. I have to say the best part of course other than having the place to myself was the bartender name tag. On one side is the bartender name and the other side was my name so we can address by each others name.,I am sooo bad remembering names (except if it's your dogs name) so that was very helpful. I really don't like to wright bad reviews, but Bonefish Grill in Exton PA has really gone down hill. I really don't want to get into the details, I don't want to see anyone lose their job - so, here is one of the highlights - I watched the bartender service 3 other groups of guests that sat down after I ordered - Once I reminded I was waiting, I got my wine. I ordered a premium dinner selection, waited 30 mins, asked about it and was told it was delayed in preparing the potatoes (pretty funny actually). I finally got my dinner, minus the potatoes and it must have been under the heat lamp for 20 mins - fish shouldn't need a knife to cut. Bone Fish Grill in Exton is a nice looking place - but the service and food are not in line with the prices they charge. It will be some time before I return. read more

At that point we asked how much longer and we were told they weren't sure but as soon as possible. Two more parties were seated before we left. Stopped in for some outside dining and this place still checks all of the boxes, with a few caveats. The Bang Bang shrimp are still fantastic, and we also tried the Imperial Dip this time. It had amazing flavor with some perfectly crispy chips! For entrees we had some specials I can't quite remember the name of and the porkchops. The chops were delicious and seasoned beautifully. My entrée was the pineapple shrimp on top of coconut risotto and it was very very good. I got a good amount of shrimp which were all very flavorful. The risotto was much thicker than I'm used to, but the gravy on it helped to thin it out, and the pairing of the shrimp, risotto, and gravy was just delightful! The broccoli wasn't as tender as it was on our first trip so I can't rave about it, but the flavor was still there and we will continue to get it in the future. The Macadamia Nut Brownie tasted a little off, not spoiled but almost like there was too much cocoa powder used in it. it was good, but not great. The Macadamia Nut cookies on the other hand were warm and delicious. Now for the caveats. We had almost a 30 minute wait time as whoever seated us didn't notify a waitress to our presence, however, once we were assigned a waitress she was prompt, friendly, and apologetic about the wait. The manager even came out pretty soon afterwards and apologized for the delay, and went out of her way to make up for it. Still 5 stars in my book, and still a place we will continue to visit and recommend in the future. read more

We stopped here on a whim. The restaurant only had a few guest in it other than ourselves so we did not have a wait. The atmosphere was nice, the restaurant was clean and the staff were wearing mask. Our server was friendly and spoke very highly of the night's special which was wolffish with spinach, blue cheese and bacon. I'd never heard of wolffish but went with the his recommendation. Not bad, but nothing to brag about either. The fish was okay but the spinach was was flavorless. It wasn't strained well so there was a lot of water on the fish and plate. The crab cake was must better than expected with lots of crab make. The steak was cooked correctly. My husband got the mahi mahi with mango salsa which he also enjoyed. My kids shared the kids Mac and cheese which they really liked. The portion was big, I don't even think the two of them finished it. Service was very good. Most entrees come with ample sides, and can also add optional premium sides, but you really don't need to do so. Started with the house seeded bread loaf with oil, nice touch. We ordered Caesar salads, the dressing tasted like house made and hit all the right notes. My Cedar plank salmon was ample and cooked to perfection as was my wife's Filet Mignon. Perfectly pink for her without bleeding, just the way she ordered it. Our bill was reasonable at $90 with 2 alcohol drinks. Husband and I went out for an impromptu date night, haven't been to bonefish in years and it will probably be another few years if we ever go again. Menu choices were great, food itself was excellent. I had the new Poké bowl, which had so much fresh, flavorful tuna on there, it was just so good. And the green bean appetizer was really good. However, that was the extent of anything excellent. Our table was out in the very middle, where you literally could not move, staff had a hard time getting to you. I realized about halfway through dinner that we never got bread, my husband was being dripped on by an air conditioning vent (which we get, hot and humid equals dripping), and then our second round of drinks was completely different from the first round, even though we ordered the same item, and the waitress wanted to argue with us when we were the one drinking it. (maybe the pitchers and individual glasses are made differently? All I know is one was fizzy and one was not, and they tasted different. To me that is not the same drink. We opted for individual glasses the second time, because once we had poured out the pitcher, we had a pitcher of ice left. An entire pitcher. So the meals we received were so far off from the very well written description that had my mouth watering and my stomach growling it's just ridiculous!! Firstly we had two servers Emma and Lexi. Emma took our drink orders and forgot 3 of our families orders and she never returned and we never saw Lexi, that was the start of out encounter. We ordered apps and received in a timely fashion, along with bread , the only thing that tasted good was the bread, bang bang shrimp and Brussel sprouts. 29$ for my plate, the Fish tasted like it was thawed out and half way microwaved it didn't taste good ,with sweet and tart taste with a watery texture and was smaller than the size of my palm the coleslaw was bigger , the broccoli was mush and this was just a horrible meal also the lump crabmeat on the description was minuscule!! My husbands fish was so small and he snickered like is this a joke right, what's happening here, he had a scoop of mashed potatoes that looked like a cafeteria scoop for preschoolers !! Wanted to take my family out for dinner to celebrate the holiday and asked them to pick a restaurant in their area. My niece picked here as they haven't been here yet and heard it was good. We made our reservation and all eight of us were seated 15-20 minutes after our arrival. Our server took our drink orders and then left us high and dry. Finally received our drinks, then left and never came back. After about 45 minutes another server arrived, brought us bread with dip and took our appetizer order. Brought more bread and then appetizers. Took our entree order and kept us filled. Now more disappointment when meals arrived, stuffed cod was smaller then the palm of my hand, the butter fish with crab on top was the same size with not much crab. Mashed potatoes looked like a scoop you get in school. Now the food was good but for the price and the portions we were very much disappointed.
