The garlic wings and seasoned fries are soooo delish...the staff are a friendly bunch...the wait was reasonable for fresh hot food..thanks guys read more

The Bulgogi was superb. However, pretty pricey for the portions, especially since everything is a la carte.

Bonchon is usually my favorite place to go, but I probably won't go back to this location. The places in NOVA are way better. The drums are smaller and when we got our wings they were cold. read more

Bon chon is my favorite place to get delicious fried chicken wings. But this location seems to be doing anything but frying them. I ordered wings tonight and they were as soggy as Frosted Flakes get when they sit in milk for about 5 minutes. Sure this is a new location. But the only problem new locations should have is service, not the food. Which should be following a recipe since it's a chain restaurant. When I go to mcdonalds, I get chicken nuggets. Every damn McDonald's I go to always has bomb ass chicken nuggets. Because they follow the McDonald's recipe. It appears this Bon chon lost their company recipe along with their frier. COMPLETELY DISREGARD THIS PREVIOUS REVIEW! THEY HAVE IMPROVED AN INSANE AMOUNT AND I COME HERE AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK! ITS SOO MUCH BETTER! read more

I was so thrilled when I found out that they have opened one here in Waldorf last summer. I have been to few other locations in VA which are all great but this one is quite disappointing :/ Wing are not as crispy (almost soggy), really thin crust and the soy garlic flavor is barely there. The wings lack flavor and are so big they look like turkey wings which aren't so appetizing! Please trim the chicken tips and pluck those feathers they are kinda gross :( read more

Whew the tacos can be spicy! But great flavor at good prices! Quick in and out. We did carry out and were pleased

For my first time at a bonchon, it was okay, got udon soup and takoyaki balls, it was all good, but to be honest after reading that someone got food poisoning here, I was thinking about walking out and not waiting for my food, but I am glad I tried it to see what it was like. I just hope I don't get sick, just saying. read more

The wings are great! I got the half soy ginger and half spicy wings. However, I waited over 20 minutes for my take out and this has happened on more than two occasions. I think this location can be more professional and improve their food production and operation processes. read more

I am a big fan of the Half & half wings, shumai, ant their potstickers . I have never had a bad order from this place.

Disappointed to the MAX! I visit the Navy Yard location because I work close by and its 100 times better. I thought because it was new and just opening they would be in tip top shape, that's a huge NEGATIVE. She service is horrible a million employees standing around in front of the cash register and 1 I repeat ONE person taking orders. I waited over 45 mins for my cold HARD chicken strips TODAY! I asked about my phone when I realized that it had been over 20 mins and was told that it was coming right up, because he seen then name after coming straight from the kitchen so I assumed he knew what he was talking about 25 minutes later he calls my name and hungry has set in deep inside of my rip cage. I opened the box to find hard cold and might I had small- they looked like chicken bites instead of chicken fingers. I was so upset that I could curseS it was hot as hell outside and I Had waiting all day to come back to this Bonchon because it was close to my house, to only be disgusted. The fries on the other hand were piping hot with NOOOOO salt, and they had the nerve to give me a BAG full. Ughhhh! I was beyond pissed and trashed the food! They will not get my service again. My thing is if they weren't ready to open fully instead not of a soft opening(sign on the door) then they shouldn't have opened!!!! The price was cheaper than DC (lunch menu) but I guess you get what you pay for. read more

We drove over an hour to eat here. We are big fans of Bonchon. Once we arrived, one of the employees told us that it's an hour and a half wait on the wings. Extremely disappointing. We will not be coming back. read more

When I first moved into the Waldorf area, I was super stoked to find out there was a Bonchon here. In fact, we ordered Bonchon delivery while we were moving our stuff in. Everything was great, ESPECIALLY because they still offered the strips back then. Since they've taken it off the menu, I haven't been able to bring myself to order from them again and would rather go to other locations such as Crofton, Fairfax, Woodbridge, Arundel Mills. Why they stopped selling the strips, I have no idea, but those boneless nuggets? Hard pass. I was craving soy garlic chicken the other night and caved in that ONE time and get the chicken on bone and I HATE chicken on bone. It satisfied the craving but I doubt I'll get my Bonchon fix again anytime soon at the Waldorf location UNLESS THEY BRING BACK THE STRIPS!! Oh and we were also looking for seasoned fries but they had seasoned zucchini fries which didn't like anything like fries because they were round. Maybe better described as zucchini bites and they were ridiculously salty. Now we did order through Uber Eats so not sure if the menu may be different for delivery. Please bring back the strips and offer seasoned fries as well! read more

If you are dead set on eating this food. Call ahead and prepare to wait an hour. They take a ridiculously long time.

I'm not sure why this bonchon has so many bad reviews! I was so excited to see a bonchon in my area. Everything about my experience was exceptional. The staff is extremely friendly and greeted my family and I promptly. Maybe they were busy when it came to greeting guests, as it gets kind of hectic in the restaurant especially around dinner time. Anyhow, while the wait time of the food is a little longer (almost everything is made to order, especially the chicken), it's totally worth it! If you want something quick, go to popeyes. Also, I see and hear people complaining about the prices. Well, if you want quality food then you have to spend an extra dollar. *shrugs* They are still fairly new and working out a few kinks, but everything was cool. Taylor, Alex, and Angelica are wonderful employees and made sure that me and my family were taken care of. The seasoned fries and the soy garlic wings/strips are my favorite. I recommend this restaurant for anyone who loves fried chicken and quality service. I will definitely be coming back for more! read more

The food was pretty good, but a bit overpriced for the amount of wings. Since this was our first time there we tried both sauces. The soy garlic sauce on the wings was good and it worked out because my husband preferred the spicy sauce. The apps we ordered were okay. I will probably go back at some point, but unfortunately it definitely won't be one of my takeout go to's. read more

The food was great. Try the wings! And the service was impeccable, ask for Miriam, she's awesome.

First time trying it and it was delicious but super expensive for some good chicken. This is my first and last time going here. We ordered takeout, good thing cause it was freezing in there. Staff were nice but then again we got it to go. If this is your first time trying bon Chon out I would say find another location. read more

I was eager to try Bonchon once my partner talked so highly about the chicken wings and tacos. I really enjoyed the food until my wife found the longest piece of hair in her food. Bonchon, please invest in hairnets because that was gross! They didn't even offer to comp our meal so we won't be back! read more

Delicious Korean fried chicken. I have sampled a few of their dishes. Their bi bim bap was mediocre. If I have to have it I'll head to a couple of different spots in Annandale. The steamed shumai were just okay too. The bul gogi sliders were just okay for me. I'll keep coming back for the tacos & chicken- that is enough reason for this many stars. Yum. read more

5 stars for customer service. Business contacted me about my experience and was very apologetic. Their response showed me they take customer feedback serios. Thank you Ivan (manager I spoke to). read more

My experience at Bonchon restaurant was an exceptional one! The staff was very pleasant, especially our waitress. Jasmine was very attentive with all of our needs and handled our food with care. I would definitely say Bonchon's has a very creative menu and delicious food! My family and I had the pleasure of enjoying the chicken wings and the salmon dish, and I was not disappointed with the flavors of either dish! The only thing I felt was missing was a formal greeting from the manager. Although this was slightly odd, I did not let this effect my over all experience at Bonchon. I normally do not try new things but being recommend by an employee by the name of Alexandria, I can give Bonchon's in waldorf, Maryland a thumbs up! read more

Normally, I'm not one to write a review because I try to always see the side of the server. But, today is a different story. I'm totally dissatisfied with the service of this location today. I called my order in, allowing the allotted 20 minutes for preparation. After arriving, I still ended up waiting an additional 25 minutes for my order. Totally unacceptable. If it were not for the fact their food is very good, today's service would have only gotten one star read more

1st time customer. Awesome wings!!!!!! The wife and I had a late lunch date here and we really enjoyed the wings and the service. We ordered 20 wings (10 spicy, 10 reg)The waiter told me that the spicy wings were an 8 on a scale of 1-10, so I asked to taste test the sauce, they could not bring out just the sauce, so they decided to bring us a sample chicken tender of 1 spicy and 1 reg, and we really did appreciate the restaurant doing that for us. Again AWESOME WINGS will definitely come back. read more

I usually get Bon Chon chicken in Annandale, VA but was glad there is a Bon Chon near me. I ordered to take out. The employee brought the order of large extra spicy chicken wings to my car after I paid with my card. That was very nice of her. The chicken was not extra spicy. The chicken did not taste as crispy as it should. The chicken had the right flavor but was not as crispy as it should be to be Korean spicy double fried chicken. The radish was in a small container but the radish water was not in the container which is also not consistent with all other Bon Chon branches. The cabbage salad was not included. There were no napkins in the bag at all. The service was good but the chicken was not extra spicy as requested when I placed the order even after the employee confirmed it is. This Bon Chon in Waldorf, MD is not consistent with other Bon Chon restaurants. It favors more the southern style of fried chicken and covered in Bon Chon spicy sauce. Definitely not like Korean fried chicken. Thus Bon Chon in Waldorf, MD does not know how to make extra spicy or light spicy chicken. I will be going to Bon Chon in Annandale or even better ChiMc in Annandale where they are making the chicken the way it is supposed to be made Korean style not American South style. It's a shame because this Bon Chon in Waldorf, MD would have been very convenient if they fix these chicken and make it the same way as every other Bon Chon or Korean chicken and beer. read more

I just went to the new Waldorf location and the chicken was amazing as always. The only thing bad was the wait. They are doing a soft opening right now and they close at 8:00 until the Grand opening. The staff was also friendly. Always a plus. They are also working on the bar and will be up and running at their grand opening! read more

Impressed for being such a new restaurant that just opened! Chicken was great and portions were pretty good for the price. Upon entering I was greeted from almost every employee so maybe they were busy when some others said they weren't greeted? Considering they just opened I'd cut some slack on the hate, they could work on a couple things but they're still new so I understand. I personally like to call in my orders after my initial dine-in experience as everything is available for to-go on their menu! Wait times ranges from 15 min to 40/45 min so it is definitely NOT like a fast-food place but it's worth it. read more

My family and I came in on Sunday for a few wings to go for the football game. We ordered 20 wings, we literally waited over 35 mins before anyone asked us what number was our order? The manager tried to compensate for horrible service and someone badly dropping the ball with appetizers. The food was so so in Waldorf. I love Bonchon, but this one was by far the worst experience I've ever had at one. read more

Yesterday was my first time ever trying the bon chon the Soy Garlic wings they were amazing so I'm back again day two for more wings the staff was amazing and so friendly my favorite new spot for great food. read more

My review is more for the service and not the actual food itself which is actually good. But every time I go or call here it's an issue. I've called and been on hold for 10 minutes only to hang up and call back and get no answer at all. Another time we walked in, she said dine in or take out, I said dine in and she said we are actually closed. WTF?? Why would you ask dine in or take out? 2 weeks ago I called in an order, she gets all the way to the end and then says oh you have to leave a card on file to place your order....again WTF?? Why not say that at the BEGINNING of the call. I have an issue with leaving my card information because I've had my card information compromised before. So needless to say I was pissed and canceled it and went in, and I was paying with cash. Today I walk in at 11:18am (there's no times on the doors or windows). I walk up to place an order, the first person in and she tells me I have to wait until 11:30am. Actually she said I can place it now but they won't start it until 11:30. So why are the doors open? Another customer walked in behind me and I looked and said so now what? She went back to check and came back and took my order. I understand they are still new but geesh! Get it together with the service and business practices. read more
