    spicy bulgogi

It's incredibly random that in the middle of Fredericksburg there is a gas station slinging Korean food. But I love it! The menu posted on Yelp is still current and the days they are open is confusing so I would definitely call before you plan to head and get food. Tried the bibimbap and the spicy bulgogi. Both were really tasty but the spicy bulgogi was my favorite. Veggies fresh and crisp on the bibimbap which I was pleased about. My husband really likes their musubi too. Really pleased with this little hole in the wall.

Finding good Korean food outside of NOVA or Richmond has been the struggle and this extends to the Spotsylvania area. In this mart , there's a nice mom/pop owned gas station type atmosphere and it has a little selection of various things a normal gas station would have along with a slight selection of Korean snacks and ramen. It came to my surprise when I saw that this random mart in Spotsylvania had Korean food. Although the food I had was slightly overcooked, I still felt like the food here was significantly better than the other Asian options especially Korean around the area. We ordered the bulgogi and the spicy pork bulgogi. The bulgogi came with a side of macaroni salad which I thought was pretty good and a side of kimchi which was also good. The spicy pork bulgogi came with a side of a pretty plain salad. Overall, I thought the food was pretty good and very much worth the price tag. Will definitely come back again. Also in case you end up coming for the deli they are open until 5pm on Monday-Thurs

Went in on a whim and I'm sure glad I did. They offer spam musubi at the counter around lunch time. I missed out on it once and tried the bibimbap. I'm a hard person to please when it comes to bibimbap luckily it was AMAZING! Tons of food for the price. It lasted me two meals. This has easily become my favorite quick Korean food spot. P.S. I keep eating the musubi before snapping a pic

Convinient Deli that have a few korean food on the menu. Deli is next to the Exxon gas station. This is prob the only deli in Fxbg that have Korean food.

The jap chae is so delicious!

It is located in Southpoint/ Spotsylvania area in a strip mall with other businesses such as Gourmeltz and Mexico Palace. As you walked in, restaurant is spacious, clean and has a ginormous wall printed decor. You make your order at the counter and it is brought to your table. I ordered 5 items: 1) Beef Shoyu Ramen 2) Unagi Rice Bowl 3) Spicy Soy Garlic Wings 4) Matcha Milk Tea 5) Lychee Rose Fruit Tea. If you have a large order and dining in, just be patient and they will bring all items to you. As both beverages arrive to the table, the matcha milk tea was silky and smooth whereas the lychee rose fruit tea is not overpowering and you can taste each ingredient as it swirls around in your mouth. They are both refreshing and delicious. If you wish to add boba you can in your beverages. The unagi (grilled eel) rice bowl looks very scrumptious, filled to the rim served with steamed rice, fresh cucumbers, shredded carrots, pickled daikon and topped with sweetened soy glazed grilled eel fillets. Once incorporated together, your first spoonful won't be disappointed but yet satisfying. When you make your selection for the variety of ramen bowls, there's also additional toppings that you can add to your bowl too. The beef shoyu ramen arrives to the table in a unique pottery black bowl. It is gently display with noodles on the bottom, sliced beef, bok choy, seasoned boiled egg, dry nori, and added other toppings such as corn, tofu, and garnish with chopped cilantro, scallions, and sesame seeds. The first thing I did was tasting the broth and it didn't disappoint. It was exquisite savory, flavorful and light. The noodles were soft, tender and the entire bowl was aromatic and complex. My palate was jumping for joy. Lastly, the spicy soy garlic wings had a nice crunch, the soy garlic thick sauce really coats the wings but that chicken was so juicy, tender and incredible. With all of the items ordered, I will definitely get it again! Our multi-tasker guy was Alex. He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. I will definitely make a return visit to try other items on their menu. This place was worth the visit.

Rich, flavorful broth, and he added spicy chili and extra meat for personal preference. I tried the build-your-own poke bowl with the house fusion sauce and spicy mayo -- highly recommend! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Spicy Soy Garlic wings were delicious too -- crispy with a sweet, savory glaze. Not super spicy, more on the mild side, but very tasty. A lot of choice with drinks. We got a mango cloud drink, texture is more of slushy and was very refreshing. We ordered at the counter but you can order with the self order pad. Very spacious with plenty of seats. Overall, a great find with excellent food and easy parking.

It was decent, sauce was on the side so that helped a lot from being super soggy. This was probably the only decent thing at a reasonable price. Hunan style combination was salty, the walnut shrimp was soggy as well, I guess i could have reheated this up as well since it was fried in batter. Shrimp was big and plumpy, there was no sauce that came with it on the side, only this yumyum sauce. Not sure if it was for that, if it was, very meh since the sauce is salty and not sweet. My favorite thing to get at other asian places is the Gway Tiow aka Chow Fun, but it was super soggy. The noodles were over cooked, it was also a tad salty, the lo mein was salty too, and the pad thai was meh, noodles were over cooked. I picked it up and the noodles would fall off the chopsticks and tasted mushy. It didn't have much flavor to it anyways. Kinda disappointing since of all the high ratings and the pics look tasty.

From the start, the curb appeal made a great first impression. Inside, the space felt cozy and intimate, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We were seated right away and handed menus. Their drink list offers a nice variety of sake and cocktails, but we opted for water and freshly brewed black sweet tea. As someone who's picky about iced tea, I was impressed -- it was flavorful, lightly sweetened, and perfectly balanced. My boyfriend started with the miso soup, which had an incredible, savory depth of flavor. For our main dishes, we ordered a Hawai roll along with two Pad Thais -- one with chicken and one with tofu. The Hawai roll was easily one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. The tempura shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the combination of coconut flakes, mango, and coconut cream sauce made it both unique and delicious. The Pad Thai dishes were also great, though they had a bit more spice than I'm used to -- not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable. Overall, we were really impressed with Miso. The food, atmosphere, and service all hit the mark, and we'll absolutely be back!

Fxbg has a few spots for Japanese cuisine, all with their own perks, but I think Osan tops them with the perfectly rounded experience. We were seated very quickly on a chilly Saturday evening and started with edamame, miso soup, and hot tea. We had to leave room for the sushi boat for two (so fun!! always wanted to try this!) with wonderful choices of sushi and sashimi from the chefs. I wish we could customize the choices a bit as the fried roll didn't suit our preferences, but maybe they would accommodate if we had just asked! Also, the wasabi is very intense, more so than any other place I've had it. A little goes a long way! In short, everything was fresh and flavorful, a fantastic sushi experience. Would recommend :)

Overall...I agree with others that thr beef in the gyudon bowl a bit tough stringy to eat and very SALTY like heavy hand salt that even with rice it was overpowering. I almost needed more pickled ginger to balance it out. My egg was over medium boiled? I wish it was a jammy egg would have been fabulous. I mean it's a drier bowl of gyudon then I've had at other places since there is not sauce.
