Curry chicken mixture
Nou Nou S.

After a morning walk, I was finally able to make a visit. It's located off Emancipation Hwy (Rt. 1) and Cowan in a mini strip mall with other businesses such as Jersey's Mike, Starbucks, Freddy Frozen Custard. It's a shared parking lot. As you walked in, the cafe is small with limited of seats but manageable. You can order two ways: at the counter with staff or kiosk on the left. Once you order, they will call your number for pick up. I ordered 5 items: 1) Bulgogi bao bun 2) Curry chicken bowl 3) Pork chashu ramen 4) Lychee smoothie 5) Honeydew smoothie. The two smoothies were very light and refreshing. I really enjoy the lychee one. The second smoothie that was originally honeydew but when I received it was the honey melon, and I have to say, it was surprisingly good. It tastes just like cantaloupe. The bulgogi bao bun looked scrumptious and the filling was generous portion. I took two bites and it was very tasty yet a little chewy. But the combination with the bao bun works. The ramen, you are given 4 choices of broths and several choices for proteins. I chose the pork chashu and pork broth. In the bowl, the soften noodles are on the bottom, topped with pork chatsu slices, corn, edamame, bean sprouts, fish cake, green onions, marinated soy eggs. The broth was on point, with enriched umami flavors but the portions of the corn and edamame was a bit much. The curry chicken bowl came in two parts. In the bowl, there was rice, pickled ginger, julienne cucumbers, soy eggs. In a separate container you have the curry chicken includes potatoes, green onions. You have to incorporate all ingredients in order to get the full effect. It was good with a hint of heat from the spices. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. I would make another visit to try other items on their menu.

I have waited forever for this restaurant to open. They had their sign up for (literally) years! Most people just downright gave up on it when it finally opened. So obviously, as soon as I realized that it was open, I went to try it out. Place is clean. You can either order at the counter or at a kiosk. Seating is very limited. They are located in the parking area near Freddy's, Jersey Mike's, Starbucks, and Chipotle, which means parking is limited. They offer a variety of appetizers, Korean style wings, fruit teas, Boba teas, milk teas, snow cream, smoothies, ramen, rice bowls, and poke bowls, among other things. I ordered my husband a passionfruit tea with popping strawberry Boba. I like that they offer a lot of their beverages with the option of no sugar or less sugar. I ordered on the kiosk "no sugar", and found that I can't get any of the fruit teas with no sugar at all, because all of the tea syrups contain sugar. I do appreciate the staff member calling me to the counter to notify me that there was some sugar in the tea. So if you're avoiding sugar at all costs, they only have a limited amount of beverages that you can choose from that are completely sugar-free. Check at the counter beforehand, because the kiosk won't tell you otherwise. Then I ordered a 2 protein poke bowl with two proteins for my husband and I to split for a light lunch. I chose the base as sushi rice and green mix, and the proteins as chicken and shrimp. For my toppings, I chose the cucumber, edamame, green onion, citrus mango, red onion, seaweed salad, sweet corn, fish egg, nori sesame, fried onions, and roasted seaweed. I chose the citrus mango dressing on the side. Now, here are my thoughts on the food, I thought the food was fresh and tasty. The bowl was quite small, and expensive for what little food. For one poke bowl and one tea, it was nearly $25. I feel like I get a bigger poke bowl, with more toppings, at similar establishments for roughly the same price. I am interested in trying some of their appetizers, and their Korean style wings. I will return.

While the sushi rolls are a bit heavy on the rice, the quality and variety of rolls was very good. Along with a full menu which includes appetizers, soups, ramen and hibachi entrees there is quite a good amount of choices. If a group includes someone who isn't a fan of sushi, there are options for them. My wife and I both ordered a miso soup to start along with beverages and I also ordered a shrimp shu mai appetizer. We then stuck with the sushi which was available at the buffet. Since they state up front that they will charge for "wasted" food, the best recommendation is not to load up your plate but get a smaller number of things at a time and make multiple visits to the buffet. The variety of creative rolls impressed me as well as the quality. I was also impressed with how clean the restaurant was. While I did gaze briefly at the desserts, I didn't try any as I was full from trying the many of the sushi rolls available.

It is located in Southpoint/ Spotsylvania area in a strip mall with other businesses such as Gourmeltz and Mexico Palace. As you walked in, restaurant is spacious, clean and has a ginormous wall printed decor. You make your order at the counter and it is brought to your table. I ordered 5 items: 1) Beef Shoyu Ramen 2) Unagi Rice Bowl 3) Spicy Soy Garlic Wings 4) Matcha Milk Tea 5) Lychee Rose Fruit Tea. If you have a large order and dining in, just be patient and they will bring all items to you. As both beverages arrive to the table, the matcha milk tea was silky and smooth whereas the lychee rose fruit tea is not overpowering and you can taste each ingredient as it swirls around in your mouth. They are both refreshing and delicious. If you wish to add boba you can in your beverages. The unagi (grilled eel) rice bowl looks very scrumptious, filled to the rim served with steamed rice, fresh cucumbers, shredded carrots, pickled daikon and topped with sweetened soy glazed grilled eel fillets. Once incorporated together, your first spoonful won't be disappointed but yet satisfying. When you make your selection for the variety of ramen bowls, there's also additional toppings that you can add to your bowl too. The beef shoyu ramen arrives to the table in a unique pottery black bowl. It is gently display with noodles on the bottom, sliced beef, bok choy, seasoned boiled egg, dry nori, and added other toppings such as corn, tofu, and garnish with chopped cilantro, scallions, and sesame seeds. The first thing I did was tasting the broth and it didn't disappoint. It was exquisite savory, flavorful and light. The noodles were soft, tender and the entire bowl was aromatic and complex. My palate was jumping for joy. Lastly, the spicy soy garlic wings had a nice crunch, the soy garlic thick sauce really coats the wings but that chicken was so juicy, tender and incredible. With all of the items ordered, I will definitely get it again! Our multi-tasker guy was Alex. He was friendly, attentive and very knowledgeable. I will definitely make a return visit to try other items on their menu. This place was worth the visit.

Rich, flavorful broth, and he added spicy chili and extra meat for personal preference. I tried the build-your-own poke bowl with the house fusion sauce and spicy mayo -- highly recommend! Everything was fresh and full of flavor. The Spicy Soy Garlic wings were delicious too -- crispy with a sweet, savory glaze. Not super spicy, more on the mild side, but very tasty. A lot of choice with drinks. We got a mango cloud drink, texture is more of slushy and was very refreshing. We ordered at the counter but you can order with the self order pad. Very spacious with plenty of seats. Overall, a great find with excellent food and easy parking.

From the start, the curb appeal made a great first impression. Inside, the space felt cozy and intimate, perfect for a relaxed dinner. We were seated right away and handed menus. Their drink list offers a nice variety of sake and cocktails, but we opted for water and freshly brewed black sweet tea. As someone who's picky about iced tea, I was impressed -- it was flavorful, lightly sweetened, and perfectly balanced. My boyfriend started with the miso soup, which had an incredible, savory depth of flavor. For our main dishes, we ordered a Hawai roll along with two Pad Thais -- one with chicken and one with tofu. The Hawai roll was easily one of the best sushi rolls I've ever had. The tempura shrimp was cooked to perfection, and the combination of coconut flakes, mango, and coconut cream sauce made it both unique and delicious. The Pad Thai dishes were also great, though they had a bit more spice than I'm used to -- not overwhelming, but definitely noticeable. Overall, we were really impressed with Miso. The food, atmosphere, and service all hit the mark, and we'll absolutely be back!

RESTAURANT: Full of fun kawaii style wall posters and canvases, it really adds a cute touch to the restaurant. There's ample seating inside in case you want to eat in. I chose the 2 protein poke bowl with spicy tuna and salmon, a brown rice base, cucumber, seaweed salad, edamame, ginger, pineapple, avocado, and roasted nori as my toppings, with ginger sauce and eel sauce. I should have asked for the sauces on the side because they were very generous with layering it. The taro milk tea was delicious. We recently visited this location and we were originally attracted to it by the sign that said that…read morethey sold boba tea there. I was excited to give this place a try - but what others have said is true - there is an extremely pungent smell of (what I believe is) mold that's rampant throughout the room. I had to cover my nose while I was there because it was so overbearing. At the desk, there were an assortment of other pastries and bakery items that were out for display - but what I noticed was that one of the pastries had a massive amount of what I believed was mold growing on top of it. It was discolored gray and I couldn't help but stare at it. The lady that tended to us was kind enough, but I think it's just her tending the store. I didn't see anyone else there and she walked out to the back to make the tea drinks for us. Judging by the state of the front of the store - I was really curious to see the state of the store in the back. The tea I drank was okay. It didn't taste completely off, but it was generic. Sugary. The state of the location had just set me off so much I didn't feel comfortable continuing to consume it. Frankly, we sort of expected better. If nothing else, the very harsh smell needs to be removed. There were enough indicators there for me to suspect there's a lot of mold growing somewhere within that room.

There are plastic covers on the chairs, which is practical yes, but takes away from the formality of a tearoom. A couple of the tables were wobbly, and I think they could use one or two smaller tables for twosomes and threesomes. The paper napkins were wrapped the utensils with a cute ribbon which was a nice touch for paper napkins. The main drawback: There was literally a little waste receptacle ON the table! Definitely not appropriate. There's a sort of creepy yet quirky robot that greets you at the front door. It evidently speaks different languages. She's cute though! Her name is Rose. The Victorian afternoon tea was nice, you know okay. I had the cucumber sandwiches (and added chicken salad sandwich for an upcharge) and the tea for $16.95 came with a mini cupcake, a mini scone and a mini cookie. The cuke sandwich was lightly toasted and fresh, the chix salad was on wheat and too mayonnaise-y for my taste. The sweets were delicious. You can choose your sandwich from several options, and your flavor of scone. Today the had raspberry white chocolate, orange cranberry, and blueberry. The Earl Grey cream tea was hot and fresh. Nicely steeped! The teapot and the tea accoutrements were all pretty! The server, Jamie, was sweet and helpful. The shop was also filled to the brim with gifts: jewelry, tea things, figurines, ornaments, candles, soaps and other knickknacks. While I was there the tearoom filled up quickly! Families and guys enjoyed their tea times. However, the ladies behind me were quite loud and rude playing videos loudly of their kids doing "cute" things. So gauche! So uncouth! Not tearoom manners at all! I wanted to take their phones! Ugh! Several customers walked in and ordered from the counter with a large selection of smoothies, boba tea, bubble tea, chai teas, milk teas, coffees, and milkshaplus a huge selection of regular teas: black, herbal, green and white teas. I'd come back, but don't expect the typical English tea experience. It's a bit more low key and casual. Unless you have a large party, you can just walk in without a reservation. I did come back! It was nice that on a Friday, they were open late and we were able to grab a bite! Service was slow on this day because I think only one person was minding the store! I chose the Buckingham Palace tea this time!!
