First time trying Bonchon and O M GEE!! So GOOD. We ordered a large chicken combo half soy & half spicy with coleslaw, steamed rice, tteoboki, and their seasoned fries. The chicken was still warm and crispy after our 20 minute commute back home. The staff was friendly and working hard to keep up with everyone's to go orders, which I understand now why there were so many! Will definitely be returning to this awesome spot. read more

Food quality was good. Fresh, tasty with good portion. The staff at the front desk was courteous. If order carry-out/to go, please check your orders. They messed up an item. The restaurant offered a refund for that item, which shows their willingness to make things right for the customers. However, the refund amount quoted vs the actual amount received is different, off by a penny. The manager said it's because of different system: one is cash register; another is a calculator. I let it go. If you choose to visit this store, I encourage you to check the orders, review the bills before paying, and confirm the amount charged is consistent with the invoice amount. Because if each time a customer let go of a penny, 100 customers will add up to $1, 1000 customers/transactions to $10. $1 or $10 may not be a big deal, but small amounts do add up to a large amount. Have been dying to try this place for months. Finally my husband & i got a chance tonight for pickup & honestly i would pass next time. Everything on the menu looks amazing & because it is a little pricier and all of the positive reviews i expected something better. We ordered the wing combo half spicy half soy garlic, seasoned fries, and the bulgogi & a side of ranch. Total of $42 for two people. Not an insane amount of food. Wings to start were just ok. Drumsticks were really large but the flavors weren't as great as everyone described. Soy garlic is ehh, not a flavor that you want more than one wing of. Spicy is overwhelming even as a person who regularly eats spicy food. No flavor to it really, just burns your mouth. Seasoned fries were a waste. They taste no different that regular fries. Just get regular for $3 less. Bulgogi had an entire onion cut up in the dish. Meat tasted good, very strong garlic flavor. Maybe next time we would just get the bulgogi but i would rather not waste my money on this. Definitely was not worth it. Didn't even finish the wings, spicy was not good. Soy garlic weren't horribly bad but just not great. Food would have been okay for maybe $30 for all this. Overpriced for what it is. read more

We have been wauting for the Bolingbrook loc to open and gladly they did. We ordered their family meal and the price wasnt that bad. Its a lot cheaper needless to say. Tried them on their first open day. We had the medium combo half hot half regular, seasoned fries, fried zucchini, popcorn shrimp, and their japchae. Everything was really good. The Hot wings were sweet and very spicy but also very good! The breading on the wings were very crispy even with the sauce on it. The soy garlic sauce was sweet. The seasoned fries has a really good blend of seasoning in it. The fried zucchini were thick pieces fried beautifully, even reheated it the next day and they still tasted great. The popcorn shrimp, they were a good size not small like other places and they gave you a big portion and the price! You couldn't beat the price! Lastly the japchae vegetables with ribeye shaved steak very good as good as the Chapchae from joyee. Great service as well! Dining in here as truly one of the strangest and more uncomfortable dining experiences I've had. Which is a shame because the food was very good. It started off by being told we weren't allowed to stand to look at the menu before getting a table. I wasn't sure if I would like one of the sauces so asked to have it on the side. Simple request right? I was told no... I've never been told no at a restaurant unless it wasn't possible... that wasn't the case, I just wasn't allowed... weird. As we ate a server paced around right in front of us, which was uncomfortable as you can imagine. We had three separate dishes and they slowly came to our table one at a time. We wanted to eat everything together as a meal and as it sat and got cold, we finally asked to have it go under a heater.. The whole meal I wanted more sauce but knew I wasn't allowed, as I was told at the beginning they aren't allowed to give sauce on the side. We felt very rushed out as we went to pay with multiple people sweeping in to clean everything including our drinks we were still drinking. I understand grabbing our plates, but this was very much so like get out of here. We were very friendly, and didn't show our frustration so not sure why they made us feel like we needed to leave. This place was pretty pricey for being more of a casual vibe. We spent a lot of money, and it's a shame we didn't enjoy our experience. Seated within 10 minutes on a Thursday night. Canned drinks only due to restrictions with glasses and ice. Ordered potstickers, fried rice and spicy fried drumsticks. The hot wings are on point! And this was an Uber delivery order with 25 min travel time. I can only imagine how awesome the wings would be if I ate them hot and fresh. The coleslaw was really great too. If food is good 25 mins after it's cooked then that's the ultimate test. Can't wait for the dining ban to be over so I can eat these right out of the fryer. This Korean chicken place is great! Crunchy tender chicken with great sauces. They do a brisk takeout too.

This is the Korea fried chicken. Everytime I ordered and came to pick up. The chicken is soft and soggy after 15 mins. I've tried so many Bonchon location, this location is the worse, not enough flavor. read more
