I spent $30 +3 dollars for a tip for a full face after going to my car and looking in the mirror I seen I still had hair all over my chin area and one patch of hair on my neck area I asked them if they could clean it up for me really quick kindly and they said if I wanted my chin and neck area done I would have to pay 10 more dollars and I explained I wish you guys would've let me know before you charged me the $33 the lady continue to talk and talk instead of just helping fix the problem so I could be on my way she later then followed me out to my car and harassed me very unprofessional very rude the other girl that work there kept commenting and saying that my eyebrows were uneven and patchy instead of just helping me fix them they made me feel self-conscious about my eyebrows and everyone was very rude she even followed me out to the parking lot to harass me after I seen as in the video never go to Bollywood eyebrows in Montebello horrible rude service. Lol... Here it goes.... Alright, call me a mutha f*cking hater but.. at most, I would change this rating to two stars.... Background story: I used to go to Benefit to get my brows done.. Have very lovely friends who do amazing brows... Also went to a spot down in Bellflower for over 2 years, and the young lady that used to do my brows is amazingly talented. Unfortunately, now that I live closer to LA, these options aren't as convenient for me, so I started coming here to get my brows done. Yelp had "amazing" ratings here, so I came through to check it out. Anyways, Jackie here is amazing (so this ain't about you girl, mad love goes to Jackie!!!)... But I dont know why everyone is so hyped on that old lady owner, Anju? is her name I believe... There's been a few times she'll take out some hair on my brows and I don't even complain, since I'm too damn nice.... Plus I be thinkin, I guess I get what I pay for here. "Anju" would be like, "oh who did your brows last? oh do you pluck your brows? Oh maybe we should leave these hairs here to regrow your brows?" Like she literally gets offended if she thinks that you "did your brows somewhere else" or "touched her work" psh... please. Like no offense... But you're not really a god damn brow expert... for a brow expert you've messed my sh*t up a few times... Hell, my esthetician friends and previous brow folks have never asked me so much god damn questions and my eyebrows were always "on fleek"... Lol. Since "Anju" has messed with my brows a few times, I've had trouble filling em in, some parts were overly trimmed... Like uh, I know you wear glasses when you do my brows, do you need to get your eyes checks again? I've been coming here a few times now... At least 10 times... Like usual brow threading places, they have a "stamp" card where if you go and get your brows 8 times or whatever, you get your brows done for free. So the whole point to my bad rating after all this is...: I've never had such a hard time redeeming some "free brows" from a eyebrow threading place. Shit, I don't even give a f*ck about paying $20 bucks for brows to get better quality. It's just the concept of, "Use our card and we'll stamp everytime you come here! Once you fill up all the boxes, we give you free brows!!" So... I got my brows done by her, gave her my card to redeem my "free brows".... She goes, "Have you rated us on Yelp before? Did you write a review yet?" I'm like "uhhh I don't have my phone on me." She's like "well, you can use it next time. you have to use yelp to help our business okay thanks!" I'm thinking, wait hold on... So what if I don't have Yelp B*tch? What If I was a 50 year old lady who doesn't use social media or yelp. Then what? You're not going to give me free brows? So gave it 3 stars just because I was force to write a review. I been coming here for about year and they do a good job. I have noticed that if it's busy they don't do as well of a job. However last time I was there I had my card and it had all the little hole punch so I was expecting a free brow threading, but the owner ask me if I had done a review on yelp? I told her No sge said oh you can't get a free brow threading until tou write a review. I don't like to being lied to you are advertising that if I get my eyebrows done 6 times the 7th is free. It does not say anything about a YELP review.I don't mind doing the review but I can't help feeling trick into doing something. On another point the place is always clean parking is always available, and the girls are always polite. But FYI next time you want a review just ask for one don't force people into writing one. read more

I'm not working this summer so I needed to find a local eyebrow place to hit up. Thank goodness Yelp always hooks it up. I was a little apprehensive about trying a new place for my eyebrows but I was desperate and short on time. I arrived around 3pm on a Friday and there were already 4 ladies waiting! That's always a good sign. The girl doing the eyebrows, Jackie, had the most amazing set of eyebrows EVER! And I even got offered a KitKat while I waited. I was already impressed and I hadn't even had my eyebrows done! When it was finally my turn, Jackie apologized profusely for the wait which wasn't even that bad. She then took a look at my eyebrows and said, "Well do we know what's wrong with your eyebrows?" Friggin' Compton nail place! I knew I looked tore up from the floor up! Mind you, she didn't say it rudely at all. She just wanted to help these peasant, poor eyebrows that graced her regal eyebrows' presence. And help them she did. I've had my eyebrows threaded by several ladies and Jackie was the first one to take her time. She threaded my eyebrows with care and patience. Jackie showed me my eyebrows one at a time after she had finished and then offered to put aloe vera on them which I accepted. And omg thank god I did. She gave me the most amazing eyebrow massage. I wanted to just fall asleep on that chair and dream about one day having eyebrows like her. Alas, it's genetically impossible but Jackie did make my eyebrows look stellar. I'll be back and I want Jackie doing my brows. The girl rocks. read more

Yes at 5.50 how can you complain? I do however still do not enjoy the pain associated with hair removal. I can say the aloe gel they apply after does help and the relaxing music during prevents teeth clenching during. Yes I am no fan of pain as most are. So if they can relax me and get me to sit still then that's a plus. Check them out since they are open 7 days a week. read more

This place was a little hard to find for me. If you live in Montebello the cross streets are Whittier and 21st Street inside the shopping center where the white senior citizen homes are. I arrived and was greeted very nicely and 10 mins later, I was out. It was only $5.99 to do my eyebrows... super cheap, it is usually at least $8.00 at other places and $11.00 if you go to Ziba inside the mall and that doesn't include a tip! The service was great, but the work I have to say was even better. It's true what all the other reviews say, they seat you, look at your eyebrows, explain what needs to be done and do their thing. I haven't been this happy with my brows in a long time. I also need to emphasize, tip well guys, not saying you don't... but we need to keep these ladies happy and in business, times are hard and I don't want them going out of business and then, what, I'm screwed and have to start going back to those other places that destroy my eyebrows! I went to Bollywood this morning for the third time to get my eyebrows threaded. On my first visit, I was really impressed by not only the work, but also the customer service. Sarah went above and beyond to make me feel welcomed. She even put ice on my brows after the service to close the pores. (that was a first for me) The second time I went, they were pretty swamped. I didn't mind waiting my turn, but I was a little turned off by the lack of service. The quality of their work was still impressive. This morning, I couldn't believe that I was in the same place that I walked into that first time. They weren't busy and the customer service was lacking. For about 10 minutes, 3 clients were in the waiting area and absolutely no employees were covering the floor. There was an employee cleaning, but she didn't acknowledge the clients at all. She finished cleaning and then went to the station and yelled "Next!" I think it's a shame that they can't be more consistent with their customer service. They have such great potential to be AMAZING, but customer service needs to improve. I would even be willing to pay more if they were more consistent because the work they provide is truly worth more. I will go back, but I hope that they take this review into consideration. I would be more inclined to give bigger tips for friendlier service. read more

Just happen to drive by this place on a day when my eye brows looked like huge caterpillars. The salon is pretty large, but empty. Maybe Sundays are on the slow side. I have been told by many friends that Bollywood is the place to go. So after contemplating for a couple months I finally decided to give it a try! I originally went to the establishment to get my eyebrows threaded, however I asked about the facial and Anju took the time to explain the process and even showed me pictures of her work on other customers. I was impressed and decided to get a facial myself. One word for my facial... magical!!! I went in there looking tired and puffy and left looking rejuvenated and glowing. Anju made sure that I was comfortable every step of the way and went the extra mile in everything she did. Customer service from Anju was superb. As a new city member it's crucial for me to find the new people I will become friends and acquaintances with. In Orange County I had my eye brow specialist expert in waxing. I heard so much about threading that I wanted to check it out. I yelped threading and it was clear that this business was the the one for me to try. When I first drove up I saw a group of women waiting to get there threading on. It was a bit intimidating but as soon as I walked it the awkwardness was no more. At first glance the ambiance is clear and it felt more like a day spa rather than a quick threading place. The mood was set thanks to there wonderful and luxurious decor. The music playing seemed to be classical Indian music. The owner greeted me and asked how I was doing. She ten asked how I came across there business. She told me she approached my time and my business. When it was my turn they proceeded to explain the process and how maintain my look for weeks to come. Overall my experience was extremely satisfying. I could not fight the economical prices and the great attention to there customers. They smiled and told me to come back in two weeks for a touch up. I've been getting my eyebrows threaded here for the last 6 months of so. I always get them done with Jackie. She is amazing! Before visiting Bollywood Threading Zone I had read many reviews and did my research. I used to get my eyebrows waxed and noticed they were getting thinner so I wanted to try threading. I had only had my eyebrows threaded once before. I didn't touch my eyebrows for at least 3 months (I wanted to grow them out as much as I could because they got so thin) and when Jackie threaded them they looked amazing! I also tried eyebrow tinting which I liked but haven't done since that first time. I would recommend the tinting to anyone who has doesn't have full eyebrows and doesn't want to use make-up to fill them in. I've never made an appointment but the wait has never been more than 15 minutes for me. read more

I found Anju through Yelp after deciding that I had had enough of my moody waxing lady. I was hesitant to try a new place, but put my faith in my fellow yelpers and went for it. Anju did not disappoint. She's really friendly and gave me an eyebrow consultation to explain what she would be doing and why. She had to "fix" my eyebrows as they had been previously over plucked, which meant that after she was done I still had baby hairs just under my brow line. She explained that this was normal, as these "lines" of hair would have to be grown out so that we could work on giving my brows a fuller, more natural shape. So far I've been going every two weeks for 1 1/2 months and have been worked on by both Anju and Jackie (who also does a GREAT job!). My eyebrows are near perfect and I've already been getting compliments :) The place itself is new and a lot bigger than I had imagined. It's VERY clean and smells pleasant (not like a bunch of chemicals). The spa-type music makes the whole experience a treat. read more

I use to be a regular (even though it's pretty far from my house) until they required me to write a positive yelp review in order to use their loyalty card. Which is really shady. That same day Jackie (the lady who does my brows like I like them) wasn't there and Anju the owner butchered my brows and the skin around them. They were too thin and uneven and she still refused to take my card for a free threading. I looked strange, I never knew eyebrows made such a difference unfortunately for me it was a bad one. I wouldn't recommend this place or at least I wouldn't recommend Anju to do your eyebrows because she doesn't listen. She does what she wants and sadly what she wants are stringy uneven brows. read more

I've never thought of threading my eyebrows and ended up here for a simple henna, then ended up getting my eyebrows threaded and instantly loved the shape, but was skeptical about promises that my eyebrows would actually grow back with continued threading if I didn't tweeze or wax. I did keep coming back and noticed more and more apparently that in fact my eyebrows were growing back and appeared sexier. Keke is AMAZING. I've been coming to her for about 2 1/2 years now and she has FIXED my eyebrows from how they were before. Everyone I went to would either make them too think or just completely mess them up!
