Women's Haircut (long layers style) with Billy
    Emily T.

This is my new go-to place!! I've been to salons in k-town, culver city, and downtown but this one is one of my favorites. I called Saturday morning and even with a busy schedule they were able to fit me in with an appointment with Billy. I arrived on time and there was no wait. I have bleached/dyed damaged hair and wanted a long layers cut. Billy took such great care of me -- we spent the first 5 minutes making sure what length I wanted my hair to be (this is much appreciated since I've had barbers cut my hair WAY shorter than originally discussed because they think it's best for my damaged hair). He was so fun to be around and he knows what he's doing! He's also the first barber to not try and get me to buy a store's product, and really cared about my hair and the importance of blow drying for a healthy look. Overall my haircut cost $55 without tip, which included 1.5 hours of shampooing, cutting, and styling. He took his time with my hair to make sure I was happy with the end result. I recommend getting a haircut with Billy and I'll definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend this hair salon! I've been looking for a hair salon near East LA/MP to get my hair bleached/colored and I finally found my go to! I called on a Friday morning for a balayage appointment and they were able to get me in the next day on a Saturday at 11am. On the morning of the appointment, parking was easy and free. I was a couple minutes (2-3 mins) late to my appointment because I had a little bit of a challenge finding the spot. For those visiting, it's located down the middle hallway, on the left side behind daikokuya! Once I checked in at the front desk desk, they let me know to sit down in the front waiting area and that my stylist will be ready in 10 min. I got seated to do a hair consultation before getting started and I really appreciate how she walked me through every step and told me that she wants to prioritize the health of my hair. She was realistic with how light I can get my hair and made recommendations based off my hair type. She also let me know that the entire process would take at least 5 hours. After 2-3 rounds of bleach and 5.5 hours later, I got exactly what I wanted. Throughout my entire experience, she checked in on me and asked if I was comfortable. They offered me snacks and drinks every hour or so to make sure I wasn't hungry through the long stay which was very kind of them. For those curious, I paid $375 total for my hair service. I got a neutral blonde balayage done on my previously bleached/dyed hair and I have medium/long hair length. P.S. for their card machine, they only accept visa and Mastercard. I tried to use a discover credit card and had a bit of a hiccup but was able to pay via Apple Pay.

I called in for a walk-in and they scheduled me for an appointment 30 min later. I went to a previous salon before coming here and the first place botched my hair really badly so I came to this place looking to get it fixed. I got Louis as my stylist and he immediately fixed my hair cut and also gave me a dark purple color over my brown balayage. He was very helpful with all my questions and concerns, even showing me tips on styling my hair and recommending me products for maintenance! I'm very satisfied with my service and definitely will be coming back

Vicki did a phenomenal job!!! I called ahead and was able to be seen within 20 minutes. I told Vicki I had a project for her since I'm a wavy/curly gal and my ends are suffering from heat damage (about 2 inches. Ends are straight while rest of hair curls). I wanted a tiny trim and layers so that I can start cutting my ends little by little to retain length but revive my curls. She did straighten it to make sure my hair was even but applied an amazing heat protectant and gave me advice on protecting my hair from heat. 1000% recommend. The salon is super cute though hidden away in what looks like a deserted shopping center. My hair feels oh so healthy and I'm loving the layers!!! She cut about 2 inches for layers but managed to retain the length I had prior to my cut. So so so happy!! Thank you, Vix

The indoor lighting wasn't the best but you can still see the beautiful color melt. Balayage done by Jenny.

Tell you what, with the price you pay for, you will not regret!! Cindy is a very nice and friendly hair stylist. She spent a lot of time cutting my hair and trimming it again the next day to make sure that I'm satisfied with my hairstyle. She was very detailed oriented and would recommend hairstyle or length based on my face shape, and her previous experiences. It was about 3:30pm when I came in, and no one else was there, which I Iliked since that allowed Ched to take his time with my hair. However, no sooner I did a check in and got into the chair for shampooing, three other women decided to show up and wanting their hair done too, lol! Hahaha, I brought Ched extra business on a slow Friday afternoon ;) Ched gave me a great scalp massage while shampooing my hair. After he applied conditioner, it got slippery and water sprayed all over. Luckily, I I wasn't soaked, and Ched was very apologetic from beginning to end, how sweet! :) Even though 3 women came in, Ched took his time with me, and didn't rush through. He asked me how I wanted my part, and covered up my lil hole on my top crown. He made my curls tight since my hair was baby fine and topped it off with Suave brand gel hairspray. My curls were awesome, and they held nicely throughout my friend's bday party. Best of all, when I came home and brushed it out before showering, it still looked amazing! *Sighs* had to brush it out otherwise, it'll look like a rat's nest in the morning, lol! The wash and curl took no more than 25 mins to do. Cost was $20 (not including tip). My curls were tight and intact with my baby fine hair. I did notice that unlike Drybar, Ched doesn't put mousse in there first, so some parts of curls were crunchy, but thank goodness not fried. However, my curls held up nicely, and so I was happy :) Located in the same plaza as Game Stop, Arby's and 99 Ranch Market in Alhambra. I would definitely come by again for a hair cut or wash and curl again, yay! :)

I upgraded to include a wash and blow dry for $10 more (so $50 total), and it was worth every single dollar. First of all, the wash. Tony washed my hair so thoroughly and thoughtfully. It didn't feel rushed or mechanical. It felt intentional and relaxing, like he truly cares about the experience. Then the cut. Clean, balanced, and exactly what I needed. He paid attention to detail and shaped it beautifully. It's one of those haircuts where you leave feeling lighter, fresher, and more put together. The fact that this was a last-minute walk-in makes it even more impressive. If you're looking for someone skilled, kind, and reasonably priced, go see Tony. However, I noticed him kick something aside, which made me look back and realize it was a large ball of my hair. By then, it was too late to stop him. He removed a significant amount of healthy hair to thin it out without my consent. When he finished, my hair was extremely thin, and the volume I loved was completely gone. My hair is naturally curly, and this has significantly affected my curls. It will take years to regrow and repair what was done. Tony was kind, but I don't believe he has sufficient experience working with diverse hair types. His idea of beautiful hair seems to lean toward thin, sleek styles, and he attempted to turn my hair into that. I loved my thick, voluminous hair, and I was left devastated by the outcome. I'm writing this to offer advice to future client especially those with thick hair to be cautious, as he seemed to lack the necessary expertise. Although his intentions may have been good, major changes such as thinning out someone's hair should always be clearly discussed and approved by the client beforehand
